Hotel Louis Imperial Beach

The Louis Imperial is a good choice for beach and pool lovers – it’s got a great swimming pool and it sidles up next to a Blue Flag stretch of sand.

This hotel is surrounded by gardens, which slope down to a Blue Flag beach. Location-wise, Paphos is a 20-minute walk along a scenic beachside path, plus there’s a clutch of bars and restaurants even closer.

Interiors are sleek and contemporary – the bedrooms were all revamped in 2013 – while outside you’ve got a good-sized pool and plenty of space for sports.

2 weeks of paradise!

Cue the long review! Worth a read though! Visited 23rd June- 8th July After spending 2 weeks at Louis Imperial I can honestly say it has been one of the best holidays I have been on. The weather was lovely every day, hardly a cloud in the sky. The service was second to none, Reception staff were always on hand to help and we couldn't fault the waiters and waitresses poolside, in the lobby or the restaurants, as there is no self serve at the Imperial, your order is taken and bought over to you. Restaurants: There are 2 restaurants on site, the main restaurant which is lovely and has a great selection of food and Mura, the a la carte (Japanese) restaurant which is a set menu each day - Equally lovely! Room: The room was clean and tidy, a good size with on suite. I recommend booking pool/sea view room as you may be staring at the carpark as we were. English 3 pin plugs so no need for adapters. Decent sized TV with poor channel list, not that you'd be watching anyway! Plenty of wardrobe and drawer space, fitted hair dryer in bathroom. Pool: There are 3 pools at the imperial, 1 main pool where kids are allowed and 2 adult pools, 1 being indoor. There were no pool games as far as we know as we didn't venture far from the adult pool but there was music and entertainment at the main pool and other activities were available - Archery, table tennis etc. Towels are provided for a 10 euro deposit (per towel). Beach: The beach is very rocky at the hotel, i would advise sea shoes, flip flops or bravery and pain! However, walk 2 minutes to the right and you come to a cove with powdery sand and a small entrance into the sea, the only downside is that this doesn't belong to the Imperial so beds are at a cost. Onsite: Hairdressers and shop onsite, the shop came in handy as my girlfriend started to get heat rash and they sell a cream/gel with calamine in it to help with heat rash and prickly heat and that cleared the heat rash right up. There is also an ironing room on the first floor (Room 102) that is completely free to use, washing machine and dryer in the same room are 1 euro a time. Offsite: Just outside the hotel is a main road full of shops, restaurants and bars the lead all the way down to the harbour. I would recommend visiting the Fiesta cocktail bar as they have fantastic cocktails and great prices. There is a waterpark nearby that can be reached by bus or taxi (10 euros each way) which was a fantastic day out! Few things to clear up from reading other reviews - The fridge/minibar in the room, i drank 2 cans of 7up and a bottle of water each day and we weren't billed for this on checkout, i believe you will only be charged for the extras that you wish them to stock. Free Wi-Fi in the lobby is good in the day when not many people are around, come meal time this slows down practically to a halt as so many people are connected, I would recommend facetiming/skyping during the day rather than at night to ensure a good connection - Better Wi-Fi is available for a weekly price. Thanks for sticking with me and I hope that this review is helpful!More

Best holiday

Quite possibly the best holiday me and my other half have ever been on. Lovely location just off the main road. We had an amazing sea view room 236. And also had a view of the adult only pool. Shower was nice and powerful which is a plus, as a lot of hotels don't have brilliant showers. Room included a mini bar which was topped up each day with Pepsi 7up and water which was really good! There was a safe but you had to pay which is strange for hotels nowadays as they are usually included in the price. The best thing about this hotel is the food. Every day and night there was a great selection of stuff which interested us. Most nights were themed but you still had the general pizza, chips, salad if you didn't fancy any of that. Most hotels I have visited you get fed up of the food, but this honestly was the best we have ever had. Plenty of sunbeds around the hotel grounds to be used. Never had to fight for one even at peak times. If you do want a decent sunbed with a good position it is wise to get up early though as they get taken pretty quickly even though it says no saving sunbeds. However if you are not fussy then there is always some available and the sun gets everywhere around the hotel. Drinks selection also good. Milkshakes were amazing and so were the cocktails. Big variety and they are not weak! Hotel staff are very friendly. They work so hard, especially the staff who do the drinks in the day round the pools and beach. Constantly walking round asking if you want your drinks topped up, always with a smile on their faces and being polite no matter how hot it is. Can't do enough for you! The beach is lovely however you will need your flip flops on ideally going down to the water. We bought some sea shoes from the hotel shop for 8 euros and they were the Best Buy of the holiday. Didn't have to look down at what you was stepping on in the sea. The hotel is a 20 min walk from the harbour with all restaurants, bars and shops. You can go along the beach or the main road. I would recommend at least one visit down there as it is a lovely trip out at night and day. This hotel is great! We are hoping to go back next year! The only thing I didn't like is that you are not given an all inclusive wrist band to show that you are a guest at the hotel. There is a public area of beach next to the hotel and people do come over to our "private" area and use the sunbeds and even get offered drinks as the hotel staff do not know they are not staying at the hotel. Might be an idea for the hotel to bring this concept in to stop this from happening! So all in all if you are thinking of staying at this hotel, don't delay book today!More

Nearly perfect !

Stayed July 10 - 17th. A relaxing week away and this hotel is nice. Room clean and had everything you needed. Was cleaned daily but the beds weren't that comfy so may need upgrading in the future! I found the food excellent and was really flavoursome for a Buffett as some can be quite bland. Japanese restaurant was interesting for a change whilst I'm not keen on sushi I gave it a try and the main meals were brilliant. Pool area clean and nice to have drinks brought over to you. Could not fault the staff, most are very friendly. Maria and the bar staff in Fontana bar are lovely and work so hard. Overall, I would definitely stay here again if I visit Paphos again. More

Best sunshine holiday

Really pleased with this hotel. From first arrival late at night, where we were greeted with some drinks and snacks in the café, to the helpful and accommodating staff, who really couldn't do enough to make the stay lovely and relaxing. The hotel itself has two outdoor pools, a family pool and quieter adult oriented pool, plus an indoor adult only pool. Everything was clean and tidy from the room to facilities. The beach is only 100 or so Meters away, although I'd advise flip flops or better yet pool shoes as it's quite rocky. You can usually get a lounger, but still may have to resort to the pre-breakfast lounger raid to secure enough for the whole family. Towels can be obtained from reception without a deposit. The restaurant is excellent with each night a different themed buffet (international, Cyprus, Italian etc) but each night always has Cypriot dishes, which was what I was looking forward to. Even the fussiest 12 year old will find something that they'll like. The food quality whether breakfast, lunch or dinner was always excellent and staff, again so helpful, attentive, polite and pleasant. There is waiter and waitress service at the pools and bar and you never have to wait too long for a drink. There is free Wi-Fi in the lobby, but we got the room Wi-Fi at €15 for a week. It's OK, but the free option in the lobby would probably keep most folks happy. This has been the best sunshine holiday I've been on, and my first in Cyprus after going to Spain and the Balerics numerous times. Highly recommended and amazing value for money and high quality. Brilliant. More

Great Hotel for a Great Holiday

Just returned from a fabulous 2 weeks at the Louis Imperial Beach Hotel, again. This hotel makes sure you have a memorable holiday, with service to your sun lounger thoughout the day and an entertainemnt team to keep you entertained day and night. I have to mention the food. You have to diet before you go, and then afterwards as there is a wide variety for Breakfast Lunch and Diner, not to mention midnight munches for late arrival. For a treat there is a Japanese Fusion restaurant on site which in included in the all inclusive. I would recommend this hotel for couples and families. the hotel has 3 pools with grounds going down to the sea so you can be by the pool or away on the grass area. There were more sun loungers than guests, yet the hotel was full . We enjoyed a walk in th evening down to the harbour where all the activity tends to be which takes about 25 minutes along the coast path, but dont try and walk back along the road as it is sweltering hot. No wonder this hotel has a lot of guests who return year after year, thank you for a great holiday.More
