The Hotel Avanti gives you easy access to the beach and Paphos' town centre. There's a lot going on back at the property, too, with a big pool and an impressive list of sports, activities and entertainment.
One of the Hotel Avanti’s major draws is its location. The property is a short walk from the beach, and you’ll find shops, restaurants and bars on your doorstep. Better still, you’re within easy reach of Paphos’ harbour and pretty old town – it’ll take you around 20 minutes on foot.
The swimming pool also deserves some credit. It’s a big, curvy number that snakes its way around a terrace that’s dotted with loungers, parasols and palms. There’s a swim-up bar, as well, so you can sip coffee and cocktails without moving from the water. Smaller guests aren’t forgotten, either – they get their own pint-sized pool.
In terms of what else is going on, days are pretty lively, with games, sports and competitions laid on. It’s a similar vibe come sundown – the restaurant hosts regular themed nights, with Greek, Mediterranean and Cypriot cuisine. Plus, karaoke, live music and dancing are all on the agenda.
Indulge in the buffet on offer, or pick a tasty dish from the à la carte menu. Themed evenings mean there is something different on offer every day, with a variety of Greek, international, Cypriot, Chinese, Mediterranean and Italian dishes. There's also a special menu just for children.
We returned to the Avanti after last staying here in 2008 (I think) we chose to return as we had such a nice holiday last time and liked the location. We booked with the hotel directly and flew with EasyJet which gave us a massive saving than had we booked as a package holiday. Dealing with the hotel directly was so easy and any queries we had were dealt with quickly. We asked the hotel to arrange taxi transfers for us which they did and all went smoothly even when we noticed our flight home had a delay so changed the taxi for the return trip at quite late notice. We had rooms on the 5th floor which has great views as we were high enough to have a nice sea view, rooms were quiet and were cleaned to a good standard. Breakfast had improved a lot since our last stay and I got very addicted to the omelette station. We used the hotel bar for drinks in the evening and found it very pleasant, although I donât normally get too into hotel entertainment we found the animation team really pleasant and friendly regardless of whether you were joining in with them or not. We used reception alot for information as we didnât have a holiday rep to ask and found them really helpful with whatever we needed. We managed to book a jeep safari and a trip to the North and with some good advice made our own way to Nicosia on the local bus. I would definitely return to Cyprus and would definitely return to the Avanti.More

Second visit almost as good as the first
Just returned from our second time at this hotel. We requested the same room as last year and that's exactly what we got so the holiday started well. Check in was pretty quick and painless, although reception staff are good at their jobs they aren't over friendly. We love the pool area, theres never a problem getting a lounger and there are plenty parasols if needed. The poolside snack bar is pretty reasonable and the food was enjoyable though we only used it a couple of times. The room was spotlessly clean and cleaned every day. Towels were also changed every day. The bed is one of the most comfortable ones we have ever slept in on holiday, it has a memory foam mattress and it is king size. We enjoyed going for breakfast and we felt there was plenty to choose from. I think its the first hotel ive been to where porridge has been on offer. We always found something to eat at the evening meal and thought having a different theme every night a good idea. The beach is only a five minute walk and the harbour maybe a 20 min walk. Our only problem was the renovation work going on across the road from us. They worked from 8am until 5pm every day. The animation team seemed to be lacking in the personality department, everything seemed a bit of a chore to them or maybe they were just worn out from the busy summer?. But if we were going back to Cyprus we wouldn't hesitate to stay at the AvantiMore

Very pleasant surprise!!
My husband and I visited the Avanti last week for one week. We had actually booked into the Avanti Village but were upgraded to the hotel on arrival. The hotel is lovely. Spotlessly clean and the staff are very pleasant and accommodating. The room was also spotlessly clean with a king size bed. There is a fridge and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. The bathroom has a powerful shower and was also spotless. The room was cleaned every day we were there. The food was excellent with very good choices. The hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport. We also had a look round the Avanti Village and that also looks very good and we would not hesitate in booking into there either but if you have the chance of going to Paphos I would highly recommend the Avanti Hotel.More

To begin i wanted to give this hotel a overall 3.5 rating. Its not a 3 star and
decided to rate as 4 star as half stars are not an option.
The hotel is located approx 15- 20 minutes from Paphos airport.
Its not on the beach but an easy 5 minute walk away, with the harbour being another 25 minutes or so walk away - nice scenic walk especially when the sun is about to set.
There are a few restaurants opposite the hotel, Luigis Pizza is great, best Pizza/ Pasta ive come across in years !
The grounds of the hotel are pretty good with a huge swimming pool and all areas are kept very clean. Although i did find that there was a lack of atmosphere..
Rooms are clean and comfortable ( UK plug sockets so no adapters needed ) but need updating especially the bathrooms - 3.5 star
There is a safe in the room but they charge you 2.50 euros a day to use it ! its
not even electronic having a normal key, cant remember when i last saw those, they should at least provide free modern safes.
Wifi was available throughout the hotel and grounds and the strength was very good.
Service is an area which needs improving, overall the front desk although not rude, we didn't feel a warm welcome to the hotel - management please note you don't have to be in a 5 star hotel to have 5 star service.
The clientele were distinctly older and we did feel a little out of place, there were some younger families.
Breakfast- well it was chaotic to say the least, people swarming around all over the place.
It was busy everyday - the choice was poor, fruit was mainly of the tinned variety
and same setup each day. Reminded me of a canteen buffet.
Would i come back again - no , not because it was awful, it wasn't and i wouldn't want to put some people off who may like it, it just wasn't my type of hotel.
If the choice of food at breakfast was improved, the
staff had some proper customer service training and the rooms were modernized it could well
be a four or even 4.5 star hotel. Its always the small things that let some hotels down
and as this hotel has a good location and large nice & well kept grounds it doesn't take too much to improve things . On a positive note it was very good value for money.More
