The Hotel Avanti gives you easy access to the beach and Paphos' town centre. There's a lot going on back at the property, too, with a big pool and an impressive list of sports, activities and entertainment.
One of the Hotel Avanti’s major draws is its location. The property is a short walk from the beach, and you’ll find shops, restaurants and bars on your doorstep. Better still, you’re within easy reach of Paphos’ harbour and pretty old town – it’ll take you around 20 minutes on foot.
The swimming pool also deserves some credit. It’s a big, curvy number that snakes its way around a terrace that’s dotted with loungers, parasols and palms. There’s a swim-up bar, as well, so you can sip coffee and cocktails without moving from the water. Smaller guests aren’t forgotten, either – they get their own pint-sized pool.
In terms of what else is going on, days are pretty lively, with games, sports and competitions laid on. It’s a similar vibe come sundown – the restaurant hosts regular themed nights, with Greek, Mediterranean and Cypriot cuisine. Plus, karaoke, live music and dancing are all on the agenda. Guests may also use the facilities of Avanti Village.

Returned to the Avanti after visiting last year. Once again enjoyed a weeks break in the sun. What you get is what you pay for. The hotel is very clean and very well laid out. The pool area is very spacious with plenty of sunbeds and along with the pool is cleaned daily. The pool bar serves meals from mid morning to about 5-00. The drinks choice is very good and very reasonable charge wise. You can pay cash or have it charged to your room, which saves you taking cash to the pool area. The rooms are very good and are cleaned daily. Television, fridge, hair dryer, air conditioning and tea/coffee making facilities all provided free of charge. Good buffet style breakfast selection cooked/continental etc. Dinner at night good choice of hot and cold meals mainly done on a theme night(Italian/Greek/BBQ/etc). The staff throughout the hotel are very friendly, polite and go out of their way to make your stay perfect. I have no complaints to make about this hotel based on my 2 stays here and can only advise people to try it out, I am sure you will enjoy a reasonably priced holiday with great value for money. My wife and myself will certainly be returning in the near future.More

A nice walk down to the harbour of a evening or just out the door to lovely restaurants . Breakfast was fab plenty to choose from and the lady cooking the eggs and omelettes was amazing . Then there is natalie & Kirsty the entertainment team they did a amazing job doing aqua aerobics and archery and lots more a great laugh and a good team , I would defo recommend this hotelMore
My wife and I have just returned from what is probably the best holiday we have ever had. We stayed at the Avanti for 10 days on half board accommodation, and were very impressed with all aspects of the hotel. Firstly the reception we got when we arrived was very friendly, with a glass of refreshing orange juice served as we checked in.- we were given the opportunity of transferring to the Avanti holiday Village , but declined.( You can use the facilities anyway). The Hotel itself is clean , well tended , and modern. The pool area is large with ample sunbeds for the number of guests at the time we travelled.. The restaurant was spacious , with a different room for breakfast and Dinner. The food was excellent , with a themed night every night .I must mention especially Renata , the restaurant Manager who is absolutely inspirational . I know she works very hard from 6.00 a.m to 11 p.m. 6 days a week , and is always available to chat to the guests. She alone would give the hotel 5 stars for me. Whilst we were there it was my birthday. we had not notified the Hotel in advance as it is not something I would do . However on the day of my birthday , we returned to our room to be greeted by a full size chocolate cake , with 'Happy Birthday' written on it. Thinking that one of our friends had advised the Hotel , we asked how they arranged it . Apparently , when you check in , they check your passport , and if your birthday occurs whilst you are there , they arrange for a cake to be left in your room . And who organised it ? Yes , Renata. Brilliant !! I appreciate everyone has different expectations of Hotel standards , but I can give it no higher praise than to say that I wish I could pick this Hotel up and take it wherever else we holiday.More

Great family hotel
This is a friendly hotel with nice facilities and comfortable rooms now with WiFi. The breakfast is very good and the snacks buy the poolside are good as well. About 20 minute walk from Pahpos Harbour but there are plenty of restaurants and bars within minutes from the hotel. We have stayed there 3 times to date and will continue to use them in future. It is a popular hotel for weddings.More

Great holiday but average hotel...
We arrived late ( about 11ish) at this hotel with high expectations after reading some of the more recent reviews, but come away feeling slightly let down . We were welcomed with a warm glass of what was meant to be orange juice. As far as first impressions go the man on reception who checked us in was clearly looking forward to heading home for bed and was very blunt with us. We was advised that there would be a sandwich awaiting us in the fridge when we got to our room to enjoy after a long journey but stale bread and processed cheese didn't do it for me either so we headed down to the crocodile pub for a takeaway pizza which filled a hole. Rant over. So here's my positives and negatives of the hotel - POSITIVES - great pool with decent atmosphere and it's warm! - pool bar offered a decent array of drinks and you can charge it to your room so you don't have to worry about carrying money in the pool -nice grounds so plenty of decent spots for photos - great location with it being surrounded by plenty of supermarkets and a bus stop outside to get you to the harbour. - room was fairly good for what you get although it could of done with a few less fluorescent lights. NEGATIVES - Decor is stuck In the early 90's inside and I literally felt like we had walked into a time warp. This place seriously needs to be brought into the 20th century with a refurb. - staff was okay but nothing amazing. - After reading so many reviews raving about the food at breakfast and dinner I was expecting it to be good.... The food was always Luke warm and the variety at dinner was terrible. For breakfast you could choose from a delicious array of COLD bacon, Luke warm sausages and if you wanted a delicious egg cooked for you you could visit the 'really friendly' egg lady and she would grunt back your order to you. As for dinner you were 'half' shown to your seats in a dining hall that had an atmosphere and look of a funeral home . We had half board but we ate out every night because it was so poor and would recommend staying B and B as there is such a variety of good restaurants at the harbour. I also couldn't understand why even on 'BBQ night' when we watched them cook the food on a lovely open bbq near the outside seating area they still chucked everyone inside when they have an outdoor area where you would have breakfast in the morning. - for â¬4.20 a cocktail the quality was poor and you can get a much better one down at Suite 48 on the beachfront just 5 mins from hotel . - lastly the entertainment was appalling! I loved Paphos and the bus network is brilliant . I highly recommend doing the Ocean Flyer half day cruise and getting yourself to coral bay and down the harbour in the evening as it has a great feel to it! If you want a really good pizza head to Soliemos in the harbour. Would happily return to Paphos but not this hotel unfortunately. This review may seem harsh but after reading so many good reviews we were expecting a lot more. More
