This place is only five minutes' walk from Paphos' beach and 20 from the restaurants at the harbour. There's a great pool, too, which comes with a waterfall and lazy river.
The Avanti Village’s main draw is its pool scene. In the heart of the gardens is an enormous lagoon-style pool with a waterfall and swim-up bar. There’s also a miniature lazy river, which the little ones can float down on inflatables.
On the food front, breakfast features everything from cereals and yogurts to fry-ups. Dinner, meanwhile, comes courtesy of the nearby Avanti Hotel. There’s plenty of choice, including children’s selections and lots of ice-creams and desserts.
Open for dinner at the Avanti Hotel next door. There are children's meals and daily themed nights - Chinese, a carvery, barbecue, Cypriot and international meals. There's a children's menu and highchairs available too. Gentlemen are asked to wear long trousers when dining.
1-bedroom apartment sleeps up to 5, with a double or twin beds in the bedroom, 2 extra beds in the living room, also used as sofas, plus a camp-bed suitable for a child up to 12 years and a cot if required. Kitchenette has a fridge, oven, grill and 2 electric rings, plus the 32 inch LED satellite TV has a cartoon channel.
We have just returned from a week here. I found the apartments to be very spacious and very clean. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
The beds were very comfortable (I suffer with a bad back, so worry that this will be affected by the beds but have to say it was the best mattress I've ever slept on).
The pool is huge and at Easter there is plenty of room around the pool area, although I suspect it will get very busy in summer.
It is a 25/30 minute walk into Paphos harbour area, but we love the walk, and there are many restaurants both near and far on the way.
Would I return, definitely.More

2 Weeks at the Avanti Village, Paphos, April 2015
This resort was recommended by a friend. Our expectations were high and were met brilliantly. Check in was smooth and our request for a higher apartment was complied with immediately. The performance of the staff from reception through house keeping and the entertainment team was always excellent. Our apartment was spacious, spotless and maintained brilliantly thoughout our stay. Next time we visit Paphos we shall certainly revisit the Avanti.More

Lovely place to stay
We stayed at the Avanti Village and arrived early afternoon, greeted by friendly staff and a glass of juice, check in was very quick and prompt. As we were travelling with family I had emailed to ask for 3 things, top floor, to be next to my parents and to be near the swimming pool. I am pleased to say that all 3 requests were met by the Avanti Village which was brilliant. We had a room in block A which gave us a view of the pool, lovely.
The weather during the week was cloudy, overcast, rainy - quite heavy at times, although the sun did come out and we still managed to come back with a tan. The weather of course is something you cannot request so you have to take it as it comes. As we were leaving, coming up to the second week in April (2015) the weather started to improve dramatically.
The rooms are spacious and clean, towels are changed regularly which is great and you do not need to bring your own pool towels as these are also changed daily. The beds were really comfortable which was nice surprise!
My husband used the gym at both the Avanti Village and Hotel, he found the Hotel had more of his type of equipment but thought they were both reasonably well equipped.
We ate at the Pegasus Pub which was a nice casual relaxed place to go and only a short walk from the Hotel and had very friendly staff, they had Connect 4 and Jenga games that they kept on site, you could just go over and pick them up. This was really nice as it kept the children entertained whilst you were waiting for your food.
The pool was nice, but cold at this time of year, the inside pool maybe slightly warmer but didn't necessarily feel heated.
You will definitely need warm clothing especially for the evening, some people even had coats on !!
Cats seem to be mentioned rather a lot on Trip Advisor, I can honestly say we saw only a few cats during our weeks stay. Whether this is because it was early on in the season I cannot say but they were definitely not a problem for us.
I would recommend the Avanti and would love to come back and stay.More

Very friendly staff
Friendly greeting on arrival with a glass of orange juice started out holiday off on the right foot. Clean and well kept apartments with maid service five days a week and rubbish taken/towels changed on other days. Two storey buildings with four apartments in each block. A and B apartments are nearest the pool but far enough away not to suffer from noise and the pools close at 6pm. Upstairs ones have balconies, while downstairs rooms have patios with a step down at edges and no railing so potentially hazardous for very small children. Floors are tiled so there was quite a bit of noise from furniture being moved across the floor upstairs. One bathroom off the bedroom with shower over bath. Living area has small table with four chairs, two beds which double as a sofa. Kitchen has oven, microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. Separate air con/heating units in bedroom and living area. You are given one key with card to activate power attached. Door locks behind you without the need for the key so very easy to lock yourself out but they were very understanding and very quick to let us back in again. We then asked for a second key which they had seemed reluctant to give us when we checked in. Make sure you pull the door tightly shut as ours opened in the night when we hadn't realised it was only pulled too rather then closed. Well kept grounds with winding paths on one level so possible to get from reception to accommodation without encountering any steps although there is a slope down through the apartment area
Tv has limited channels but includes BBC1, ITV1 and Channel 5 and CBeebies. Resort wide free wifi is real bonus - up to 5 devices can be connected. In room safe charged at â¬2.50 a day.
Large clean pool with no morning rush to put towels on sun beds when we were here although it was very early in the season and weather was overcast and cold on a couple of days - bring long trousers and jumpers/fleeces just in case! Lazy river is only about two foot deep and very short so really only suitable for young children. Indoor pool was as cold as the outdoor one and definitely did not feel heated. Pool towels handed out/exchanged for new ones by member of staff at breakfast time next to Village Taverna, you just need your room number. Free gym for residents. Sauna and steam room â¬5 per person per half hour. Animation Program (entertainment) included archery, table tennis, pool and there is a kids club but ours are a bit old for that so I can't comment on it. AJ and his side kick were doing a great job organising the other entertainment although there didn't seem much going on at night but again probably because it is early in the season.
Small supermarkets on site - village (closes 7pm) piazza (closes 11pm). Neither of them take anything but cash payments.
Cocktails available at the swim up pool bar and in the lobby bar from 4pm -â¬4.90 each.
Breakfast is served at the Village Taverna from 7.30am to10am with a definite rush from 9.15am onwards - coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice drinks (as UK would know them rather than pure fruit juices). Full English cooked breakfast, English style pancakes, rolls, croissant, toast, fruit, yoghurt, cake, three cereals. We enjoyed eating outside but plates were not warmed and the food did quickly cool. Would have preferred a nice mug rather than the cups and saucers which were provided for tea and coffee.
Dinner served at Hotel next door from 7pm to 9.30pm. Smart casual dress code which seemed pretty relaxed. Hotel is less than 5 minutes walk down a dedicated (but slightly isolated if travelling on your own) path which connects the two car parks. Each night is a themed buffet. Monday - Carvery Tuesday - Italian Wednesday - Avanti Thursday - Cyprus Friday - Chinese Saturday - BBQ Sunday - chef choice Good range of salads for starter. Different soup each day with bread and rolls also beef, chicken, pork and fish dish differing according to the theme with vegetarian options. Range of cake, fruit and ice-cream for dessert. Children options include pasta, chips. We enjoyed trying small amounts of different dishes rather than having to choose a single option. The salmon was a particular highlight and the Italian evening was our favourite overall. Drink prices range from â¬2.50 for soft drinks with a glass of wine â¬4.50 and a bottle for â¬12. Thank you to Claudio for letting us know it was cheaper to buy the bottle and to Radmila for remembering us! Drinks with dinner can be charged to your room as can other purchase around the resort. If you don't go half board there are options to buy dinner or breakfast for three days at reduced rates when you arrive. There are also other places to eat within walking distance including restaurants in the piazza at the bottom of the village - Fiesta (burgers, chicken, pasta etc and 100 cocktails for â¬3.50 each after 5pm) Little Eataly (pizza, pasta etc), Ocean Basket (seafood) and Captain Hook (sports bar).
Managers reception on Friday evening included complimentary wine or juice served by Ina who was very friendly and progressing brilliantly with learning English. Management were keen to resolve issues as they arise rather than find out about them afterwards so ask for Agatha if you do have problems. Customer service does really seem to matter to the staff so would be very happy to return here in the future.More
