This place is only 5 minutes' walk from Paphos' beach and 20 from the restaurants at the harbour. There's a great pool, too, which comes with a waterfall and lazy river.
The Avanti Village’s main draw is its pool scene. In the heart of the gardens is an enormous lagoon-style pool with a waterfall and swim-up bar. There’s also a miniature lazy river, which the little ones can float down on inflatables. Add regular pool games and it’s the ideal place to spend the day with the children.
In terms of location, the complex is just five minutes’ walk from Paphos Beach and 20 from the main harbour. Plus, local buses will run you into town and to a nearby waterpark.
As for accommodation, the village-style apartments are clustered around flagstoned paths and pretty gardens. They’re spacious and open onto balconies or terraces.
On the food front, breakfast features everything from cereals and yogurts to fry-ups. Dinner, meanwhile, comes courtesy of the nearby Avanti Hotel. There’s plenty of choice, including children’s selections and lots of ice-creams and desserts.

Hotel is a 3 star, would be a very good 4 star plus, but lacks as below. 1970s style Dated rooms, but clean. Our half board offer of Food - abysmal, the negatives on trip advisor are true re food quality. The birds feeding from cereal trough has not been dealt with, on our visit as mentioned by another visitor on trip advisor. Eggs cooked till crispy only on one side only. Same Dry pastries everyday. Dry bread. Tasteless beans, Only pork based meats. Cheeses looked bland, Same basic standard breakfast everyday. Dinner was no better, all tasteless. I asked for halloumi for our little girl and it was delivered to our table with grill burns and black grill deposits. We got up and left to eat out after that. Felt insulted as this is a Cypriot speciality served so badly this was our hint to the week of food ahead. Mums gone to Iceland desserts also on offer, plastic tasting. Again only ate the fruit. No care for food standards at both hotels whatsoever. Spent a fortune £400 extra eating out, same was said from other families who mentioned this wasn't mentioned in trip advisor!! Gym, in the hotel avanti small very dated, bike still broken and nothing is serviced, old cranky machines. Animation is exactly the same everyday. Aqua aerobics guy does in pool so you can't see anything. Wednesday is the best day as there is no animation, sorry, peace and quiet. Taxis to and from harbour works out expensive, some overcharge on route back. Too hot to walk and wait for buses. Saw no Cypriot culture in Paphos, very commercial. The best thing about Avanti is the pool, that's it. Trip advisor please add a food advise area, it is important, prompt contributors to advise. WIFI, Not offered to purchase in room. Only pool and lobby you have to go back and forth with valuable devices to lock away. Not practical if you want to catch up on emails etc. all in all, basic hotel. On arrival in the dark had to find our own rooms. No welcome pack of Our holiday would have been brilliant but the food here needs to be addressed, total let down. Won't do a 4 hour plus flight again and feel like you could be in Spain, and pay to do a 5 star plus. not worth it. Disappointed family!More

Good base to explore Paphos and Cyprus, OK accomodation
Good to know - You have full access to the facilities of two hotels: Avanti Village and sister hotel Avanti Hotel. They are a five-minute walk from each other. - The nearest beach, which is 10 minutes away on foot, is rocky and not particularly pleasant. To get to a sandy beach, you need to walk a further 10-15 minutes. - Otherwise, the hotel is well-positioned for Paphos, being a 30 min walk to the action of the port. - Staff is generally pleasant and helpful. Dos - Do choose the Avanti Village if you have children and you need an apartment. These are large apartments (1 bedroom + living room with fully equipped kitchen) which are ideal for families. If you only need a hotel room, go for the Avanti Hotel. - Do ask for an apartment on the first floor to get more privacy. - Do ask for an apartment close to the swimming pool if you need wifi in your room. There is otherwise no wifi in individual apartments. - Do spend your time at the hotel, not the village. The hotel is more pleasant and the breakfast is better there than at the village - Do book direct with hotel, it is slightly cheaper than on the internet and they will take a 25% deposit, the rest is paid on arrival. Packages including flights are more expensive. Don'ts - Don't feel you have to go full-board, or even half-board. There is a dizzying array of restaurants close to the hotel. Food quality is ok but rather bland and it gets boring after a few days. - Don't bring any valuables with you. The safe is expensive (â¬2.50 per day, for something that arguably should be included in the price of the room). It is also super easy to break into the apartments as the locks are very basic. - Don't rent a car from the hotel. Take a five-minute walk outside of the hotel, go to Pentaras Rental or any competitor (check the cars parked in front for ideas) and save 30pc compared to hotel prices. - Don't buy from the hotel supermarket (if you have a car). Go to the Kings shopping centre (5-minute drive) and do your grocery shopping at Carrefour and buy kids and beach stuff at Jumbo. - Don't go if you don't have kids or want a romantic getaway. There is no adults-only pool and kids are everywhere. - Don't choose this hotel if see yourself as a "posh" person! At lot of people come because of the hotel rates are relatively low. Suggestions for management Breakfast is served outside, when it is already hot, while dinner is served inside, at the best time of the day when al fresco dining would be the most pleasant. Why not have breakfast inside and dinner outside instead? Also, it would be good to have some sort of activity pack on arrival, otherwise you have to come to reception to see what is on. Finally, about the TV - most guest are families with young children, who in general sleep in the living room. Because the TV is in the living room (and you cannot move it), it means no TV for the parents at night... It would have been better to provide either a TV you can move or a second (smaller?) TV in the bedroom...More

A bit above average accommodation, with large well equipped apartments. Huge swimming pool, which fairly shallow and ideal for families, though not great for adults wanting a proper swim. ( Was chance of going next door for swim in sister hotel) Lots of loungers meant not usual scramble to claim one. Everything well maintained and clean. More
