We have visited Paphos many times and wouldn't stay anywhere other than the Avanti Village. We have just returned (Jun 16) from a two week stay here. The location is great (30 min stroll into the Harbour along the beach front). The amenities in the rooms are excellent - very comfy bed, cooker and microwave and good air conditioning (both in the living area and bedroom)! The housekeeping staff are great and keep the apartments pristine. The pool area is absolutely gorgeous and there are always plenty of loungers and parasols for everyone. There are two well-stocked, onsite shops, which is very handy. Overall the Avanti Village has everything - great apartments, great location and first class staff who make your holiday enjoyable and memorable.More
Quiet, which was perfect
Came away for a relaxing week away, very impressed with the village. Apartments are big, well equipped, clean and modern. The pool and pool bar are great with plenty of space for all who wish to use it, whether they're just looking to sunbathe or swim. Separate pool with volleyball meet and shallower pool for small kids.
Staff are really friendly and try and get people involved in events-we really weren't there for that sort of thing and they were cool with that and not pushy.
The village is nice and quiet, our apartment was right next to the pool and we were rarely disturbed. There is a "piazza" which still has a lot of empty shop fronts so plenty of potential. There are a couple of very reasonable restaurants there which if you're not looking to venture far from the village have plenty of choice. "Supermarkets"are available but these are more akin to UK convenience stores, if you want a supermarket you need to go into Paphos.
Central Paphos is about 20 mins walk away, or 5 mins on the 611 bus which runs regularly and is only â¬1.50 for a single journey.More
A wonderful holiday
The Avanti Village is very pretty with two storey apartments surrounded by lovely trees and flowers. Our apartment was very big and really clean with everything we needed. The air con and WiFi was free and there was a flat screen TV with channels 1,2,3 and 5 and two kids channels as well. The pools was lovely and clean with steps that made it easy to get in and out of. The staff were friendly and the people at reception were always helpful, our maid was lovely too, she kept making swans, hearts and roses with the clean towels we got every day. Our stay included breakfast which was available until 10am, they had a good choice and it was very nice (the cooked mushrooms were especially delicious). We had most of our evening meals in the nearby Village Piazza, which has some restaurants including a Seafood and Italian restaurant called the little Eataly, the food is very good and nothing is too much trouble to ask, it's reasonably priced and they also do take aways. We were give a discount voucher to try it when we first arrived. It took us about 10 minutes to walk to the beach and about a 40 minute stroll to the harbour. We had a wonderful relaxing time and we would certainly love to holiday at the Avanti Village again.More
A fantastic, memorable family holiday. Great Atmosphere. Well worth visiting.
I always intend to write a review, but never get round to it, however we had such a great time at the Avanti Village I wanted to thank the Palas family and their staff for a fantastic holiday!
As soon we drew up in the taxi, I was impressed by the beautiful Mediterranean style architecture of the foyer entrance. We were greeted by the lovely Andrea who offered us a welcome drink and swiftly checked us in and arranged for our luggage to be taken to the room by a porter. We were half board and as we had missed our evening meal, we were advised that a sandwich and bottle of water had been left in our fridge and were given a voucher to dine in the restaurant on the last night as we had a late night flight after we checked out.
Our apartment was spotless and very spacious. There were separate, remote controlled air con units in the bedroom and living areas with timer settings. The apartments were also well equipped, with everything you would need to cook a meal. There is also a hair dryer and pool towels provided so I didn't have to pack my own which saved valuable luggage space. The TV had quite a few English channels, and I noticed a cartoon channel too (great for young children) My teenage daughter was suitably impressed with the FREE WIFI in the room and throughout the village which kept her up to date with social media and access to uninterrupted netflix....Happy teenager = Happy parents!
Our ground floor apartment had patio door leading out to a large sun terrace with table and chairs. This was surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens with citrus trees and herbs.....very aromatic.
Breakfast was served in the open air village Taverna, we were greeted by friendly professional staff and it was a lovely setting. There was an abundance of food to suit everyone, from toast and cereal, yogurt and fresh fruit, ham and cheeses, sausage bacon and eggs, freshly made croissants and pastries and a favorite with the children pancakes and nutella. Lunch and snacks were also available here, to dine in or take away, serving salads, toasties, kebabs, burgers, calamari, omelettes etc all reasonable priced and enjoyable.
The pools and surrounding areas are spotless and well maintained. There are plenty of sun loungers available. I also enjoyed a refreshing swim in the indoor pool which I had to myself a few evenings, I had a look at the Jacuzzi and sauna which did look inviting I just didn't get round to using them. These have to be booked and you can book with a minimum half hour notice.
There is also a reasonably priced well stocked supermarket on site which is open until 11pm.
Dinner was served in the Hotel restaurant , the staff were welcoming, attentive, friendly and helpful. Thank you Renata. Each night was a themed night and it was a self service buffet. Again there was plenty of choices and the food was to a high standard. We particularly enjoyed the Italian night.
The village piazza has bars and restaurants and is well worth a visit. Little Eataly make the most delicious authentic Italian pizzas and the Carbonara and Seafood pasta dishes are also lovely, again the staff are great... Thank you Louis and your colleague.
The animation team; Doris, Elena, Adriana, Thomas, Gary and Andrea are so enthusiastic and work tirelessly to keep everyone entertained. Their musical shows "Grease" and "Mama Mia" were fantastic. During the day they have water aerobics, water polo, archery football etc and in the evening they have a mini disco for the children followed by a live show by the animation team or entertainer.
The Management invite you to a welcome reception to introduce themselves and their staff, this was a lovely personal touch. There were also a number of returning guests at the reception who the managers seemed to recognize and who recognized each other, I took this as testament to the standard of service and holiday they provide. I had a birthday whilst I was on holiday and was very pleasantly surprised to return to my room in the afternoon to find a Happy Birthday post card, and a bottle of spumanti compliments of the management!! Thank you once again Zoe.
The harbour is a 20 minute coastal walk away or 10 minutes away by taxi 8-10 Euros. Or there is a frequent bus service from the main road which is 1.50 for a single trip or 5 Euros for an all day ticket. (If you are looking for something different to do during your stay I would highly recommend "Georges Fun Bus" Check his reviews on trip adviser or facebook page...Brilliant day out)
All in all we had a fabulous 10 days at the Avanti village, and the friendly, helpful staff go above and beyond to make sure you have the most enjoyable experience, nothing is too much trouble! I would highly recommend the Avanti Village and Hotel, and will definitely be back. The only downside of this holiday was having to come home!More
Very nice hotel
We stayed in this hotel in June 2016 (a family with 2 kids). We liked our stay very much. The hotel is well suited for family holidays as well as couples. It has nice territory, big pool for adults and bigger kids, smaller pool for kids, playing ground for kids. Lots of sunbeds by the pool. Rooms are big, clean and well maintained. Food is of good quality, for breakfast it's almost the same everyday but variety is wide and you have lots of options to choose. Food for dinner was also very good, large variety, every day some specific themes of food was also provided (like italian style dinner or greek style dinner). There was animation for kids and for adults every night as well as some leisure activities during the day.More
