Avanti Village

The Avanti Village is geared up nicely for families, ticking off a huge pool, a lazy river, and a close-to-the-beach location.

It only takes five minutes to walk from this hotel to the honey-hued sands of Pachyammos Beach. A further 15 will land you on the water’s edge, in Paphos’ bar and restaurant-lined harbour.

The property has the look of a typical Mediterranean village – think low-rise, terracotta-tiled buildings and a clock tower. The grounds are also peppered with chunky palm trees and leafy shrubs.

Clean and Friendly.

The apartment was kept clean and tidy, as was the whole complex. Staff were helpful and obliging. Couldn't ask for more. My wife and I would highly recommend the fish restaurant on the complex, the fish Metz is to die for.More

Not what we expected

We spent one full week here in October for half term. Unfortunately the weather wasn't very kind for us we experienced the first rainfall they had had for 5 months. When checking in it was chaos only two people on the desk we had no information on where to go for breakfast or the local area. Our apartment was great top floor that we asked for and we had a nice outlook towards the pool. Unfortunately on the second night we came home after an evening out and our roof was leaking in the bedroom down the wall and into the electrics. Reluctantly we had to move rooms to which was a ground floor and was overlooked by the main walk through. On our first morning it was raining heavy, breakfast is served outdoors underneath a canopy and it was absolute madness we had no idea what to do, as to whether we just found a table or waited to be seated. We asked a waitress and we got a torrent of abuse not a good start, we never bothered again we bought cereal and ate in our room. The pool was freezing but due to the weather that was to be expected. The pool area wasn't clean bins not emptied and the sun beds broken. It was definitely the end of the season. But we had paid our money and should expect the same standard as those in the summer. We thought we would try the bar area but with only one barman serving and a few at the bar we gave up as the barman wasn't particularly enthusiastic about his job. Due to where our room was you could hear suitcases on the pavement all day and night as people arrived and left the complex. I wouldn't book here again, for the size of the complex there wasn't enough for children to do and the organised activities where all for children over 14/15 Aqua aerobic was advertised as being every day but only happened once. We made good use of the buses into the harbour to have our evening meal although the restaurants just off the complex are worth a visit. More

chocolate40,

NIce time

Great place! Its perfect for family's, large apartments, large pool areas (including poll for baby's). all of them really clean by the way. Quiet place with a really friendly staff. 5 minutes walk from the beach area. You can also walk to Paphos city center but that will take you 30/40 minutes but the sight-seen is totally worth it!! If not you can just take a bus or taxi.More

5 star all round.

My boyfriend and I visited the Avanti whilst pregnant for my birthday last May. We had an absolute incredible time. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. The cleaners were always happy and talkative and the atmosphere at the Avanti was calm, relaxed, friendly and safe. We were worried that the pool wouldn't be hot enough to swim in, but luckily the weather was kind and we made the most of the pool the full 7 days we were there. We will be returning again in May, this time with our beautiful boy!More

Love the Avanti Village!!!

Stayed at the Avanti Village for 1 week last June (2015).. As a family with 3 children, we always struggle with accommodation as it usually means we have to book 2 rooms. The Avanti Village has family apartments which means we could all stay together. The apartments are clean, spacious and have everything you need. The balconies are spacious with flat-screen televisions and there is also free Wi-Fi. Again, a big bonus with kids! The whole complex is well maintained and the pools are clean. There are no broken tiles or over-chlorination of the water. The shrubs/hedges/gardens/grass are all well-kept. There is a shop next to reception that sells everything you need and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The pool is large and split into 2 areas by a bridge. The water is ideal for children in that it is deep enough to swim in but not too deep for those who are not confident swimmers (about 1 metre). The larger pool has a gradual slope that again is great for kids as they can go as shallow or deep as they want. There is also a lazy river that all my kids loved and spent ages playing in! Eating at the hotel is good. Although we ate out most nights (our choice as that is a big part of our holiday), the food is fresh and there is a wide choice. The staff are also very eager to help and keep the place spotless. There are lots of other facilities available, such as the gym and indoor pool. There is also nightly entertainment and the prices at the hotel are well priced. There is a good cocktail menu too!!! The Avanti is a fantastic place to stay, Everywhere in Paphos is easily accessible. If you want a good place to stay in Paphos, I'd recommend the Avanti Village. We've just booked again for early Summer and can't wait!!!More
