Avanti Village

Loading

This place is only 5 minutes' walk from Paphos' beach and 20 from the restaurants at the harbour. There's a great pool, too, which comes with a waterfall and lazy river.

The Avanti Village’s main draw is its pool scene. In the heart of the gardens is an enormous lagoon-style pool with a waterfall and swim-up bar. There’s also a miniature lazy river, which the little ones can float down on inflatables. Add regular pool games and it’s the ideal place to spend the day with the children.

In terms of location, the complex is just five minutes’ walk from Paphos Beach and 20 from the main harbour. Plus, local buses will run you into town and to a nearby waterpark.

As for accommodation, the village-style apartments are clustered around flagstoned paths and pretty gardens. They’re spacious and open onto balconies or terraces.

On the food front, breakfast features everything from cereals and yogurts to fry-ups. Dinner, meanwhile, comes courtesy of the nearby Avanti Hotel. There’s plenty of choice, including children’s selections and lots of ice-creams and desserts.

Just what the doctor ordered!

The Avanti village is a great apartment complex. It is well maintained and cleaned. Avanti Village also offers the usual range of restaurants, facilities and features. All are excellent and the staff are helpful and friendly. The apartments are spacious with all the equipment to self cater easily for 4 people. The apartments were cool and air conditioned. This was needed as it reached 45C on several days. The Avanti village is slightly out of town, but near many nice restaurants and a short bus ride into Paphos. The buses are frequent, modern and air conditioned. A great base for a holiday with all you could want from a beachy holiday within easy reach.More

a wonderful relaxing holiday

My family and I have just returned from a lovely holiday at the Avanti Village, 11 nights mid August. We are a family of 5, 2 adults and 3 children aged 11, 8 & 5 and had a great time. I've just read some of other reviews and do not let them put you off. They clearly have unrealistic expectations of a summer holiday at peak time! We arrived at 10 pm and check in was smooth and straightforward and despite being in block E we found our apartments easily. We had emailed ahead to request a first floor aptmt away from the pool area and this request was made. The hotel staff all work very hard to ensure all your needs are met, every time we made a request or had a problem (eg. air con not working) someone came along to investigate and you never felt like you were asking too much. The breakfast buffet offered a huge choice of food and catered well for all ages at a very reasonable price. However if you wanted to eat in your apartment there are sufficient facilities in your kitchenette to do so and there are easily accessible supermarkets very close by. the restaurants on the Village Piazza are reasonable value for money (beware of the wait if you go to ocean basket)-and the food was always generous in portion and nicely presented. Paphos harbour is a 30 minute stroll away or a 5 min taxi ride. There are also buses that go down there just a 2 minute walk from the village. The entertainment program was good too. Various activities during the day: water aerobics (more strenuous than you might imagine); water polo and water volleyball, archery and ping pong. My children enjoyed kids club with Adina - a big air conditioned room with various activities to keep them occupied and out of the sun. There's also a daily kids mini disco and some sort of bingo or quiz which we tended to skip as we'd be eating dinner at that time. The pool itself is big enough for everyone to enjoy and there's also a lazy river which was shallow enough for younger children to enjoy. There is a bit of a battle for sun loungers in the morning but we usually managed to grab a couple at 9.30 no problem. Maid service was efficient and more than adequate and the towel swap scheme very easy to use. The issue with air con going off when you leave the room is no different to any other place I have visited, as with all resorts they prefer to save energy if you are not in the room but obviously if you want to leave the key in you can choose to do so - as long as you get a spare key first. There is free wifi in the reception area, around the pool and bars. I didn't mind not having it in our room as it meant we had to switch our devices off! We travelled with Thomas cook but lots of other UK tour companies book here too. I definitely recommend this holiday village for families.More

Tinks 45 great holiday made better by the friendly staff

we have just returned from the avanti village a perfect holiday clean pool and the rooms were also cleaned regularly, pool towels were supplied so you can keep the luggage wait down. The food was excellent it didn't matter where you ate it was all good especially the steak at the fiesta bar. checkout is at 12 oclock so plenty of time to get ready i would personally recommend a taxi transfer if you don't like long waits at the airport 25 euros. If i could find a fault it would be security cameras should be fitted on the outside perimeter of the village this would give a little more piece of mind. Overall a great stay and i would returnMore

This hotel could have been in Spain!

We have just come back from the Avanti Village and can safely say we will never go back. Good points, the apartments were ok and spacious and the pool was great for kids. Bad points, it's a 3 star hotel at best which attracts huge tattooed crowds from the UK. Horrendous on many levels (too many to write about). I will never trust the reviews on trip advisor again. However, if you have a small budget and want definite sun, don't mind getting up at the crack of dawn to secure your sun lounger and don't mind eating sub-standard food, this is ideal.More

Fantastic

I have just returned from a 10 night stay here and I already want to go back! The village itself is nice and spacious and the pool is a great size. The hotel staff were fantastic and super friendly, nothing was too much trouble. Katerina on reception, was the main member of staff we were in contact with and she was more than helpful on every occasion and remained friendly and professional all the time. We were booked on a self catering arrangement and found plenty of options for food inside and outside of the hotel. In the apartment itself, there were more than ample utilities available if you wished to cook/prepare your own food. Also, upon arrival, there was a complimentary large bottle of mineral water in the fridge, which was very much appreciated! On our first full day there, it was my friend's birthday and we had been around the pool for most of the day. When we arrived back to our room, a bottle of Champagne with two flutes and a note wishing Him a Happy Birthday had been left on the table with compliments from the hotel management, which we thought was a lovely gesture. (This had not been organised by myself or anyone in our family party.) Wifi was available in the hotel reception and around the pool area which was handy to keep in touch with the world. I quite liked that we couldn't access it in the apartment to save us from being glued to our devices the whole time. (I know some people may prefer to have complete access everywhere, but it was a nice break whilst on holiday.) The pool bar was a great touch, knowing you could swim up and order a drink instead of having to get out, get dry and have a drink, to then get back in the pool again. With the added convenience that you could charge anything ordered to your room, it took away the concern of always keeping money with you around the pool area. The hotel provided daily entertainment that catered for all guests and this was well spread out throughout the day. There are also plenty of games/activities around the reception area to keep occupied. Overall, we couldn't fault the hotel or the fab service we received. Great staff, and lovely holiday. We would return in a heartbeat.More
