Avanti Village

This place is only five minutes' walk from Paphos' beach and 20 from the restaurants at the harbour. There's a great pool, too, which comes with a waterfall and lazy river.

The Avanti Village’s main draw is its pool scene. In the heart of the gardens is an enormous lagoon-style pool with a waterfall and swim-up bar. There’s also a miniature lazy river, which the little ones can float down on inflatables.

On the food front, breakfast features everything from cereals and yogurts to fry-ups. Dinner, meanwhile, comes courtesy of the nearby Avanti Hotel. There’s plenty of choice, including children’s selections and lots of ice-creams and desserts.

Good holiday resort for families on a budget

I stayed here for an extended family event of over thirty of us earlier in the year. For this the hotel was ideal. An extensive collection of self catering apartments with bedroom, kitchen/living room and balcony to terrace. Nice pool but busy during the day. Some other smaller water areas to. There is a small group of different restaurants within the complex, not authentic but practical for those with families wanting to eat nearby. There is a large reception area with wifi although it gets busy in the evenings. A good budget option for those with young families.More

May 2014 - wedding at Avanti - Liza the star!!

We stayed at the avanti village but we got married over in the avanti hotel. Liza the assistant manager and wedding planner at the hotel was terrific , staff made our day , we felt very special and everything was done and organised for us. Lovely touches everywhere and one in particular was the chef coming out at out meal. Meals provided were excellent and again service was terrific. We had a fan holiday on yip if this with facilities being excellent and the normal buffet breakfast being better that we normally have when we go on holiday. The area was a bit quite but we were there to get married and the hotel Nd specifically Liza made it a magical day and stay... More

Kevin C,

Excellent accommodation and facilities

We visited the Avanti village for the second time in October 2014 having previously stayed in 2012. We had contacted the hotel in advance to request a similar apartment to our previous stay (upper level) as it had been so quiet. We were surprised and delighted on arrival not only to receive a warm welcome, but to be give exactly the same apartment as we had enjoyed in 2012. As a family of 4 (2 adults, a 14 y/o and a 12y/o), the apartment was perfect - clean, with plenty room and enough equipment for simple meals ( we had our breakfast and most lunches in our apartment). The pool is great, with plenty of sun loungers beach towels and great service from the poolside bar. All the staff in the hotel were really nice and helpful throughout our week. The Avanti Village is well located for a great range of restaurants, whether close by or in the town centre- the walk along the seafront to the harbour is a nice way to work up an appetite. Check the tripadvisor recommendations- we found it to be very reliable. All in all, a great return trip. Thanks to all the staff.More

Lovely, large apartements, lots to do.

Spent a week here in October and loved it. Weather was superb. It's very clean, the apartments have two rooms and excellent self catering facilities. It's also very modern. The TV picks up BBC and ITV, and WIFI works in the apartments and was better than I've had in 5 star hotels in Greece. On-site facilities were good if a little expensive, but stright outside there are loads of bars and restaurants and Pathos town is in easy walking distance (and the buses are excellent). One thing to note is that being self catering this does attract families, and hence the swimming pool is quite shallow (1.2m deepest). Perfect for kids, but I would have prefered a deeper pool. Overall this was a great place to stay, great location, great price, just great :) I Would definately go back!More

Excellent resort

Stayed in apartment mid October 2014. The apartment was huge and so clean. Upstairs apartment at far end of 'village'. Excellent quiet location. Balcony very large and lovely view of gardens. Lounge has sofa to convert to double bed and we used to lie and watch tv, which was great. Bed was the most comfortable ever known in holiday location. Housekeeping staff excellent. Would really recommend this location and would definitely return. Pool area excellent. Great experience overall. Did not want to come home - also a first as we are usually ready to go after other holidays. Use the local bus service - excellent value, particularly the day ticket (5 euros up to 11pm).More
