Avanti Village

The Avanti Village is geared up nicely for families, ticking off a huge pool, a lazy river, and a close-to-the-beach location.

It only takes five minutes to walk from this hotel to the honey-hued sands of Pachyammos Beach. A further 15 will land you on the water’s edge, in Paphos’ bar and restaurant-lined harbour.

The property has the look of a typical Mediterranean village – think low-rise, terracotta-tiled buildings and a clock tower. The grounds are also peppered with chunky palm trees and leafy shrubs.

Great place to stay

There's not much more to add from the review from evangeline8. Only we found it was quiet at night ,plenty of sun beds too be had (as long as the Brits don't put their towels on them, there's NO need to). The location of the avanti was good as there were a few good restaurants within walking distance , try the Rimini it serves a couple of set menus at a reasonable price ,and the food was great. You can hop onto a bus for 1.5euros which takes you to the harbour, where you will find plenty more places to eat and drink. I would recommend you eat in the Alkion Taverna Restaurant when you are in the harbour area its on St Antoniou St . Another place to eat for authentic Greek food would be the almyra hotel , if you walk along the sea front away from the harbour it is tucked away at the rear of the hotel almyra.More

Another Fantastic stay at the Avanti village

This was our third stay at the Avanti village. It is such a lovely complex with excellent amenities. The staff are all very friendly and helped to make us feel very relaxed. Our apartment was very comfortable and was cleaned daily, including the sheets and towels. There were always plenty of sunbeds and parasols. We booked directly with them and received a discount as we had visited before. There is also a great system where you don't have to take your money out by the pool that you can sign for what you have and settle up at the end of the week including lunch at the village taverna. It also has free wifi. There are lots of great places to eat nearby. We will definitely be back as we never want to leave!More

Just returned from Avanti village on 16/7 and had a fantastic time. The apartments are really spacious, large lounge with sofa that goes into 2 single beds, a table and chairs in the kitchen area, microwave, toaster, fridge, plenty of cupboard space and a separate bedroom with double bed (really comfy) with a bathroom just off it with a bath and shower overhead which works well, rooms are kept spotless and are well equipped. The TV has British channels bbc1-5 and 2 kids channels (Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network) which is really great for the kids after returning from a busy day at the pool. Wi-fi throughout the resort is fantastic and by far the best I have ever known whilst being on holiday.. The balcony is a great size and there's plenty of space and a clothes rail to hang your clothes out to dry. I do recommend taking some pegs as things can get blown away easily with the wind. The pool area is fantastic with plenty of sunbeds and space and the entertainment team work hard and do aqua aerobics classes and games if you want to take part throughout the day. The swim up pool bar was great and you just gave your room number and signed for it. There's also a small pool at the back over a little bridge with a volleyball net, it was really shallow and had a waterfall at the back of it which was a nice feature. The magician at night was quite good but the rest of the entertainment wasn't great to be honest. They have a laundrette service with 4 large machines and 4 large driers at a cost of €3 each and they only take 40 mins.. They also have 2 ironing boards. We ate out most of the time but breakfast at the hotel was good value and offered a good selection. There's a piazza at the bottom end of the apartments with different restaurants, little Eataly, Ocean basket (fish) and Fiesta (most foods) and all meals we had were really good. We also ate at Xiang Xong Chinese and it was lovely. Teafortwo just past piazza is also good for breakfast. We visited the waterpark which was approx 5/7 mins drive and €14 in a taxi but that was for 9 of us so it may be cheaper. The waterpark was fantastic, be prepared there are lots of stairs everywhere even when not needed. It costs €30 adult €17 child but can be booked cheaper online and if you have a 2nd visit it's 1/2 price. The beach is approx a 10 min walk but not much to look at. A taxi to the harbour is €8 and def worth a visit with lots of shops and restaurants, I would recommend Bacchus, great service and food. If you wish to keep the room it's €30 till 3pm and €50 till 6pm and you can also upgrade to include breakfast for a flexi 3 day or the remainder of your holiday. €8 adult €4 children. There's an onsite supermarket that is well stocked and reasonably priced, although I recommend taking t-bags and coffee as it was really expensive everywhere. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and everyone we met around the pool was lovely as well as the housekeeping, restaurant staff, bar staff and reception staff. Thank you for a fantastic holiday Avanti, we hope to return soon. More
