This place is only five minutes' walk from Paphos' beach and 20 from the restaurants at the harbour. There's a great pool, too, which comes with a waterfall and lazy river.
The Avanti Village’s main draw is its pool scene. In the heart of the gardens is an enormous lagoon-style pool with a waterfall and swim-up bar. There’s also a miniature lazy river, which the little ones can float down on inflatables.
On the food front, breakfast features everything from cereals and yogurts to fry-ups. Dinner, meanwhile, comes courtesy of the nearby Avanti Hotel. There’s plenty of choice, including children’s selections and lots of ice-creams and desserts.
Open for dinner at the Avanti Hotel next door. There are children's meals and daily themed nights - Chinese, a carvery, barbecue, Cypriot and international meals. There's a children's menu and highchairs available too. Gentlemen are asked to wear long trousers when dining.
1-bedroom apartment sleeps up to 5, with a double or twin beds in the bedroom, 2 extra beds in the living room, also used as sofas, plus a camp-bed suitable for a child up to 12 years and a cot if required. Kitchenette has a fridge, oven, grill and 2 electric rings, plus the 32 inch LED satellite TV has a cartoon channel.
We stayed here from 6/8/15 for two weeks and our room ( 241B ) was broken into on the evening of 15th August ; everything ( even the safe) was taken. Obviously, our holiday, which we were enjoying until this point, was ruined. If you plan to stay here refuse rooms on the ground floor or facing the field adjacent to the complex - there's no CCTV or fence and local Police have informed me our burglary/break in was not a one off. The resort management were however, really helpful and very kindly relocated us to the adjacent hotel providing us with meal vouchers etc. Its a nice place, but it isn't secure and I wouldn't advise leaving possessions or teenage children alone at any time - luckily, our teenage daughter was with us. The best holiday ever.
Me and my family have just returned home from a weeks holiday at avanti village. Ive never been moved to write a review but i feel the need to let everyone know how hard working, dedicated and helpful all the staff at avanti are.
Nothing was too much trouble. Our apt had everything we needed and was spotless, thank god for the air con as temperatures were searing hot at times.
Slight negative was the english (mainly southerners and scousers) pushing in, demanding service to the pool bar girls, and general arrogance. Plus up at crack of dawn to dominate sunbeds.
The pool gets very busy at peak periods but the pool is so big it can cope.
Look forward to visiting again.More

A great holiday all round
Just got back from a 2 week stay here at the Avanti Village.
After reading previous reviews I emailed the hotel prior to our arrival and asked if we could have a first floor room near the pool. Unfortunately due to the village being full during our visit we could only be offer a ground floor apartment in B25, which turned out to be great. We didn't get inundated with cats as other reviews lead me to believe would happen, although we did get one or two visit us on a daily basis, which was fine as they were rather sweet.
The rooms themselves are a little outdated but we're more than adequate for our needs. The kitchenette has a 2 burner hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and a full built in oven (not that ours ever got used)
Beds were very comfy and maids came in everyday to empty bins and towel change.
The hotel does provided you with a sunbed towel per person which can be changed daily by taking the used ones back to reception. Talking of sunbeds, there was plenty go around, could still find spaces at midday. The kids loved the pool and with it only being 1.2m at its deepest they could still stand up. The lazy river was smaller than I expected but was great for the kids on their inflate able rings âºï¸
The swim up pool bar was great for an afternoon freshment, however for a change of scenery if you go out to the bottom on the village and over the road, there is an ally that goes down to the beach, turn right at the end and about a couple of hundreds yards further there is a beautiful beach bar that serves an amazing Piña Colada. There is also a watersports centre there for jet skiing & parasailing amongst other things.
Eating out - we ate at The Rib Shack a couple of times as my boys loved their ribs, must admit they were very tasty! Just a little further along was a lovely restaurant called Ficardos, which was also really nice. If you like fish, there is an amazing smelling restaurant at the bottom of the village called The Ocean Basket, we never ate there as myself and the kids don't eat seafood, however it alway smelt fabulous.
The harbour is only about a 20 minute walk away, however gets very hot if walking it during the day. We took a taxi anytime we went down as was easier as there were a lot of us. Our favourite place to eat in town was Pinguinos, lovely relaxed atmosphere and there food was always spot on, and very reasonably priced, probably the cheapest meal we found.
All in all we had a great holiday and would definitely consider going back again. More
