Atlantica Oasis

This place gets the balance between adult-focused and child-friendly just right.

There’s a yin and yang to this place. There’s a quiet adults pool and a pirate one for children. Then there’s an adults-only bar, and a hotel-run kids’ club. And the outdoor cinema that appeals to all.

Location-wise, shops and restaurants are a 5-minute walk away, and the old town is about a 10-minute drive. You can be on the beach in just a couple of minutes.

High praise all round for superb hotel and staff

Cyprus was too hot. Otherwise, no complaints about this holiday at all. The hotel was superb in every respect, cool inside if too hot outside, but plenty of shade and enough parasols by the pool to keep cool. The pool itself (we didn't use the small adults' only one round the back) was just lovely, and with activities such as water aerobics and water polo and volleyball taking place throughout each day, there was always something to do or look forward to. The water temperature was spot-on, and the indoor pool (sunken adjacent to the gym and spa) provided a slightly cooler temperature and also a much quieter area which we found very nice to have in the afternoons. Seriously, the heat! It was 42 degrees several days running and, coming from England where it's almost always cold and wet or humid and rubbish, that was a bit of a shock for the kids. In any case, enough about the pools. The small beach almost opposite (warm sea water clear enough to see fish, etc.) is sandy and as pleasant as you'd like but the better stretches are further down. At least two minutes' walk, if you can manage that. Limassol is a bit rough, yes, at least in the area of the hotel, but in my experience so are many parts of the world (like England!) and it made no difference to us. We spent a wonderful day (by taxi for 20 euros each way) at the exceptional Fasouri Waterpark, the likes of which simply are not found in the UK. It's big, varied, hugely fun and well worth the 100 or so euros we paid for the family. Back to the hotel, breakfast and lunch and dinner were all superb, from the range on offer to the cleanliness and service. Table service for drinks, loads of fresh fruit and healthy vegetables, a wide variety of meat and fish... lovely. Other eating options exist but we only took advantage of the BBQ, which was also great. The staff were uniformly attentive, courteous, and I'd say fun, especially those in the entertainment section, which is outsourced to a company I recall as TMC. An internationally sourced bunch, there was English singer/songwriter Amy Jane Bennett (check her out on YouTube), energetic and hugely amusing Swedish Karl (everyone loves this guy and rightly so), laid-back but equally amusing Antonello (apologies for mis-spellings) and others whose name badges I didn't look at very closely, but all made the holiday memorable for positive reasons. Each night there was live entertainment from kids' party dancing to bingo followed by a cabaret act. One or two didn't hold our attention for very long but the others were surprisingly high-level. Great stuff. On two nights I got to play blackjack with spa treatments as prizes – very much enjoyed despite not winning personally. The rooms were very comfortable and the air-con essential. There were lots of cats about, which the kids loved. So before I sum up, special thanks to the management and staff on reception: when we arrived at 1am, one of our rooms (2253!) hadn't been cleaned. It had been left in a pretty dirty state! The staff dealt with it immediately but for the rest of the holiday took steps to ensure we knew we were valued, left us some nice treats in the room more than once, and when we checked out apologised again! Overall, I can't recommend this hotel enough. The reps were great too, and there was no hard-sell on excursions, just friendly service and useful information. We are definitely going back, maybe not next year, but at some point, and I hope at some point on our future travels we get Karl again. Legend.More

A very hot humid and extremely fun holiday

Got home earlier today and really missing the hotel already. We had two rooms side by side on a high floor as requested in an email after booking up. Hotel is extremely clean, modern and staff cannot do enough for their guests. On a late arrival we were checked in quickly and our cases taken to our rooms whilst we were shown to the restaraunt for a snack. The bedrooms were a good size, bathroom and balcony slightly small. The lifts again are small but that's only a problem during busy times, we generally used the stairs. Food in the restaraunt was excellent. Even the fussy eater in our party managed to find something. The waiting on staff were very quick, organised and polite. Tavern, cafe and themed nights were a nice change away from the hustle and bustle. The choice of drinks was also very varied. The staff work hard to keep the busy "traffic" moving and personally I didn't have an issue with the ticket system like some. The bar managers run a tight ship but you could see a great team spirit between the staff. We used the main and indoor pool with having children in our party. We did sit outside the adult bar at night for a late drink after the entertainment and were very grateful that the kids were allowed there too. Hubby loved the sport and daughter the friendly hotel cats. The pools were very clean. I do think a few more sunbeds and brollies would be useful and appreciated. If you want a bed then an early 7ish start is required. This was fine for us as we enjoyed the quiet whilst it's still cool and not busy There were a couple of incidents with the "sunbed police" but rightly warranted! The local area is good. Only a few minutes walk to a small beach and shops with lots to see and do. Kids loved the fair and bus trip to the new marina and shopping area. We took the catamaran trip booked through the hotel which I would definitely recommend. Despite some previous reviews I've read I can honestly say the entertainment was great! Good fun, mixed and the hotel attempted to cater to all tastes. Kids disco is energetic to say the least. Bingo, very popular and the shows were well put together. You'll never please everyone but come on its not Broadway just pure fun. The staff are honestly some of the nicest and hardworking we've ever met. I've never seen such crowd involvement and that's down to them. They all work tirelessly to make everyone smile and laugh and they truly did make our holiday extra special. Big shout out to the naughty pirate joanna, Karl and Antonita (sorry if I've spelt them wrong). Keep up the good work! All in all, a very fun family holiday which I will be recommending to friends and family.More

Jo H,

Great hotel

Just returned from a lovely time at this hotel. Upon arrival we was greeted and told there was drinks and sandwiches available in the main restaurant which was a great welcome as we was all hungry from our journey. The rooms (family room) where okay not the best size for a family but clean and the bed was comfy, but the camp bed for my 2 children was not big enough which resulted in my 5 year old sleeping with us every night as the bed was just not big enough for my 2 children. Food was amazing big thanks to the guy that made the omlettes each Morning as these where lovely. Also the bar staff at the pool side where great really friendly and great cocktail Choice. Great choice of snacks in the day too. Bbq night was a big hit for me, but the Italian night not so much. Evening entertainment was okay but not enough to entertain me. Great water park about 20mins away there is a bus that takes you or a local taxi station outside the hotel. Cats everywhere if your a cat lover then great but for me just to many. All in all a lovely time was had and I would recommend this hotel but just a few little down points but not enough to ruin the time we had. Well done to all. More

Amazing Holiday and dream wedding

Well, what can I say! We arrived here on 24th July for a 2 week holiday and our dream wedding, from the minute we stepped in the hotel I knew we made the right decision. There was 23 on our booking aging from 10 months right upto 64. This Oasis provides something for everyone. The staff will do anything for you and I will never forget the bar manager Demitrie, he always put a smile on my face whenever we was in the adult only Zeta bar. Our wedding day was amazing (but extremely hot) we had the BBQ and it was delicious. There are also other themed nights at the hotel that you can book in for aswell as booking a picnic if you are ventuting off for the day. The Mocha Cafe is an added bonus that serves sandwiches, toasties, pastries, cakes and drinks if you fancy a change from the restaurant. The large lagooon pool and pirate ship was loved by all the kids we had with us whilst my husband and I relaxed round the tranquil adult only pool which does have its own bar where we made great friends with Martynas and Gabriel, thanks guys!! I will never forget the cockatail challenge!! I could go on and on but this will be somewhere we return in the future, maybe with our own children. Thanks again Atlantica Oasis for the best holdiay.More

Brilliant Hotel, Fabulous Holiday!!!

Just returned from the Atlantica Oasis in Limassol after a fabulous 10night stay. First of all when we arrived at the hotel, the staff were straight out to collect our luggage which got took to our room whilst we had a welcome drink, we also went for a cocktail as the bar was still open when we arrived. Some people have said the balconies were small and you couldn't fit on them but to be honest, there were three of us and we used the table and chairs provided but also managed to fit the third chair (from the room) as well, yes you couldn't lie out but you don't expect to lie on a sunlounger on your balcony either. The following morning we went down for breakfast, this was fabulous with a lot of selection, also a smaller section for little ones. We never queued the only exception being 1 night around half 7ish when the restaurant was a bit busier and I say queue-we literally waited 2 mins. It is a really good system they have, you're never fighting to get a table, the staff had it well organised and managed and constantly cleaning. The staff never stop!! There was always different food available every evening (we didn't eat there through the day so cant comment). There is also BBQ, Italian and an A'La Carte evening free with all inclusive so you can experience different nights, think there was also a greek night and a managers cocktail night (but didnt go to those two). Again the same for round the pool, there were plenty of sunloungers and they have the rule you cant put your towels down and leave them before 8 as they will be removed. We went in the summer hols and it never seemed too busy, there was always room in the pool to play games and have your floats, it didn't seem overcrowded. The bar staff were very friendly and there is a good selection of drinks available. You can also get your snacks i.e. kebabs, burgers and salads throughout the day at the pool snack bar which is near the kiddies pirate ship, all the kids there seemed to be having a good time. And the mocha café do some fab cakes. There was plenty of entertainment throughout the day in and around the pool which my 15year old loved, she was always waiting for the volleyball and the aerobics to start when we were around the pool. There was the usual kids disco at 8.30 and a bit of bingo then the entertainment starts on an evening, but we didn't really see much of that as some nights we went out or a couple of nights had a drink in the Zeta bar which is adults only while our daughter was on her Ipad for a bit chatting to friends as the WIFI is really good here. There is the bar system which has been mentioned but we thought this was a really good idea as no one can push in. You give your room number, order your drink if no one is waiting they give the slip of paper straight to the bar staff, if theres a couple of you, you give your slip to the bar staff, drinks made, done. Don't see the problem. I don't know what some people are comparing this hotel too but our experience was brilliant. Yes if you go out of the hotel its not buzzing - if you want clubs then go to Ayia Napa, but theres a friendly pub just seconds away which does lovely food and further down the road theres a couple of bars/restaurants, turn right and that's where your shops etc are. Get on the number 30 bus and go to the marina which is lovely, its only 1.50 or you can get a day ticket so you can hop on and off numerous times throughout the day. The weather was a bonus to, red hot although a lot of places air conditioned or shaded so you could escape if you wanted too. This hotel was brilliant all the staff worked extremely hard and didn't stop including the poor ones you never see behind the scenes like all the kitchen staff, cleaners and maintenance etc, just constantly on the go. We will definitely be returning and hope our experience is again a great one, which I'm sure it will be! Thank you for our fabulous holiday.More
