Atlantica Oasis

This place gets the balance between adult-focused and child-friendly just right.

There’s a yin and yang to this place. There’s a quiet adults pool and a pirate one for children. Then there’s an adults-only bar, and a Thomson Kids’ Club in July and August 2015. And the outdoor cinema that appeals to all.

Location-wise, shops and restaurants are a 5-minute walk away, and the old town is about a 10-minute drive. You can be on the beach in just a couple of minutes.

Excellent hotel

Stayed here 22/3/15 - 29/3/15. Had booked superior room all inclusive- wine, fruit, bath robe and safe included, tea and coffee facilities etc, well worth it. Room was a good size. Swimming pool looked good but we were told the water was freezing so we didn't use it, however there is an indoor pool. Hotel was spotlessly clean throughout and all the staff were friendly and welcoming. The meals were excellent, lots of choices so something for everyone. The Mocha Cafe within hotel was good and served the most delicious fruit tarts and lovely coffee. The Zeta Bar was open each night - they did some lovely cocktails. Entertainment each night bingo, karaokee etc. There was a pub just down from the hotel, The Nags Head and a couple of shops selling newspapers, cigarettes and other grocery items as well as postcards and souvenirs. There is a bus stop at the bottom of road from hotel No 30 (if i remember right) bus will take you all the way into Limassol along the seafront for only 1.50 - the centre of Limassol is a fair distance from the hotel, would be too far to walk especially in the height of summer.More

A BIT LATE BUT HERE'S MY REVIEW

Second all-inclusive visit to Cyprus and first to an Atlanica hotel. Visited Aug 2014. Great hotel, fantastic and varied food, everyone catered for, including my wife who's a coeliac and found them helpful. The restaurant is run with military precision by the Manager (who's name escapes me nice guy who shakes your hand as you enter,) there is a dress code men are supposed to wear long trousers, but it is relaxed a little, I wore tailored shorts mostly but as usual you get the swim shorts and vest brigade who take the you know what, he and staff greet you and escort you to your table where the drinks orders are taken, tables are cleared efficiently. There are a couple of speciality evenings A le carte and the BBQ, The BBQ was something to behold I've never seen so much choice of food in one place, and all good and plenty of it. Actually I don't recall them ever running out of anything, it is held outside under the canvas roof, The pool is busy and has the usual aqua aerobics stuff,, the girls and boys work hard there was water polo and volleyball,a quiz etc etc mind you I'm still waiting for the results of the famous tube station quiz! They weren't pushy either, a simple no thanks was enough, but there is a culture of bed bagging(and it was the brits who were the worst offenders). The hotel caters for wedding parties which meant we encountered large groups who took turns in reserving 10-15 beds, this does limit where you want to sit /lay, some people even reserved whole swathes of pool real estate as early as the night before, a practice I deplore but ended up getting up at 6.30am "to if you can't beat them join them", Adult pool is quieter but you have further to go to the bar!!,the Pool bar is good and efficiently run. When you first use the bar it seems strange to place your order then take the chit to the staff who pour your drinks but you soon get used to it and it did work well, The spa has a gym and is a nice size plus beauty treatment rooms, sauna and a steam room (which was shut). pool is cool and refreshing making a nice change. There is a no un-accompanied Children rule but wasn't always enforced. There is a small Café type place that serves cake tea coffee, and little bits and bobs, this doubled for a teenage club thing in the evening. My two teenage daughters 16 and 18 did use it but they made so many friends they were able to come and go as they pleased even eating with their new friends at lunch time, and hanging around in the resort in the evening There was never any trouble and on a couple of occasions when things got a bit high spirited the staff were reasonable ( I think there may have been a late night swim once or twice). The Rooms were pretty good, well decorated with cracking showers(well once i'd swopped over the shower head with the girl's room haha) Flat screen Tv with a few English channels enough to get by on. only one moan the balcony was small, but i suppose there's not a lot they can do about that now, I suspect this was a old hotel that has been refurbished numerous times, there are lifts two on one side in the main building and one on the other side ,they're good for getting close to other guests as they are small ( fits 4 at a push) but better than 8 floors of stairs, The Cocktail bar was a cool haven in the evening and the no children policy is enforced by the bar staff, and has a singer on a couple of night, just wish she'd not said Thank you after every song. The main entertainment is typical holiday stuff, its not caser's palace or Moulin rouge but what do you expect from a hotel in Cyprus, they sometimes run the entertainment from the indoor ballroom, which is air conditioned, there were a couple of professional acts. The magician was good he comes round the restaurant meeting and greeting doing tricks before his act, I liked him, had a good sense of humour (well the same as mine anyway) The beach is a couple of hundred yards away not the best beach in the world, but there was a couple of places to hire jet ski or pedaloes, There's not much around the hotel a couple of restaurants, there is also the Nags Head across the road, traditional holiday pub bar, the bus runs to Limassol at the main road which takes about 30 mins but not much else around.THE JEWEL IN THE CROWN OF THIS HOTEL WAS THE STAFF EVERY MAN JACK OF THEM from the housekeeping reception, animation team, kitchen staff and even the maintenance up to the restaurant /bar mangers they all deserves a mention, but far too many to name here ,fantastic service, but if you've reached the end of my short review lol you'd have gathered we quite enjoyed our stay at the ATLANTIC OASIS HOTEL. well done all.!!!More

Fantastic Family Hotel

We have just returned from a weeks holiday here at the Oasis and it was very special. We travelled as a big group of 12 over 4 rooms to celebrate mine and my friends birthday. Our family consisted of myself, husband and our 2 children aged 4 and 9. We only booked a couple of weeks ago. I emailed the hotel prior to arrival to ask if they could accommodate our children into 2 single beds rather than a sofa bed (we had paid for a superior room) They promptly replied and said they will try their best and noted it was my birthday too. On arrival we were not disappointed and we had a marvellous room which ticked all our boxes....so many thanks to Anthi for the great communication and sorting out our request. The hotel itself was very clean and well looked after, just a shame the outdoor pool was so cold but our kids made up for it in the indoor pool. Somebody mentioned children in the Zeta bar, they are permitted until 8pm and there is no where else for families to go as the pool bar and coffee shop close at 6pm. We enjoyed an hour in the bar from 6ish until 7 for pre meal drink. Think some people are slightly narrow minded. The food was amazing, we enjoyed every meal and they catered very well for all tastes, even serving diabetics jam. The Sunday roast was beautiful. We booked an A La Carte meal one evening and had a lovely 5 course meal with great service. My only critism is the evening dress code. Men HAVE to wear long trousers, fair enough.....but when you see ladies wearing hot pants with their bums hanging out, vest tops and bikinis underneath I have to question the rule here?! The men in our party were very hot in long trousers but adhered to the rule as were told to change from their smart long shorts yet I feel some ladies walk in as they please. Surely shouldn't be one rule for one and not the other. A kids play park would be a great addition too.More

Great Hotel

We have just got back from our stay at the Atlantica Oasis Hotel in Limassol from 11-18 April. Weather We had a couple of days that were overcast but the rest of the time it was hot around 20-25 degrees. Hotel The staff were really friendly, the food was the best food we have ever had at an all inclusive. You can also have 1 night a la carte, the food was excellent and service fantastic. There is also a cafe that serves cake, pre-packed sandwiches and salads, ideal if you're going out for the day or fancy a bite to eat by the pool instead of the restaurant. The pool was quite cold but perfect for when it was a hot day. There's also an indoor pool which was great. The rooms were comfortable and weren't noisy. The cocktails in the Zeta bar were fab and kids can go into the bar area until 8pm. We also celebrated 2 birthdays during our stay and the hotel provided balloons, a birthday cake and fruit & wine in the room. Entertainment There is a kids disco every evening followed by bingo (not our thing but only lasts for 15 mins) then there is entertainment, cabaret, magician, quiz etc. there was also entertainment in the zeta bar which we didn't go to as we had kids with us. Limassol There is a bus stop at the end of the road, it runs every 15 mins and it's €1.50 each and no charge for kids, you can get to the marina about a 10 min ride, The beach and also the last stop is a shopping centre, about 15 min ride. There are a few bars and restaurants near the hotel but a lot wasn't open due to the time of year. Overall, the hotel was brilliant and we had a great holiday.More
