The beachfront Atlantica Miramare Beach is a contemporary hotel that offers a relaxing pool scene and first-class dining.
This hotel is pulled right up next to a beach, so you can get to the sand in a few steps. Take a 10-minute drive along the shoreline, and you’ll come across the area’s marina and a line-up of seafront tavernas.
Inside, the hotel is really stylish. We’re talking coffee and cream-coloured sofas in a softly lit lobby, a red-on-red restaurant, and all-white wicker sofas in a bar terrace that floats over a koi carp pond.

We had a fabulous holiday at this hotel. The weather was fantastic and the sea was just beautiful. If you are a beach lover like me, you just need to travel about 10 minutes walk to find a relatively nice spot and sun beds. The food in our opinion was the best we have had in a hotel of this standard for years and always found a good variety. We ate out of couple of times but found the hotel food better. l dont usually touch the desserts as they have not been very nice in the past but at this hotel they were so delicious. Room was very comfortable, although the fridge because it contains the mini bar, is not too good if you are like me and need somewhere to keep your water cold. Division of Supreme Sea view rooms not very private as you can see into rooms either side but can live with this if you bare it in mind. A special mention to all the staff in the restaurant as they are all so nice and brilliant. Monday night barbeque was also a very nice touch, got to meet two lovely guests and a lot of the mangers of the hotel. Entertainment has two really great acts, being the fire act and magician but they seemed to struggle the rest of the time. There isn't really much entertainment available outside the hotel either although the Marina is nice and not too far by local bus. Overall I loved this place and was very sorry to leave.More

Fantastic Relaxing Holiday
Stayed for a week mid August, myself and my husband with three children, ages 14,11 and 8. We had two rooms interconnecting which I had upgraded to sea view. All inclusive. We arrived early hours of the morning. Wonderful check in and an icy cold freshen up towel as soon as we came through the revolving door! Platter of cheeses and biscuits, fruit, water and wine in our rooms. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room. It wasn't until we opened the curtains on the first morning that we realised how close we were to the sea, it was a stunning view. Rooms were modern, spotlessly clean, fresh towels daily and beds changed mid week. Beds firm but comfy. Food was excellent, always plenty of choice, even for fussy eaters. Lots of different snacks available all through the day. Kids loved the ice creams and milkshakes. If you are lucky enough to get an invite to the Monday evening management BBQ, go! It was amazing!! All inclusive drinks were fine, plenty of choice and of a perfectly reasonable quality. We stayed at the family pool as we had children but the adults only pool always seemed fairly quiet, we never saw children in it. Not a huge family pool but it was never busy, there is also a shallow toddler pool. Always managed to get sunbeds for us all, even if it was mid morning. There was a member of staff walking round checking that sunbeds with towels on were actually being used! Pool towels provided, change daily in the spa. Entertainment was ok, a couple of excellent evenings, the fire act and magician in particular. During the day there were various activities but you never felt bullied into doing them like in some hotels. Huge variety of watersports available on the beach. Wifi available all through the hotel but it was a bit temperamental at times. There is a little computer room with 2 desktop pc's available to use for free. In the rooms there is a high speed internet connection through an Ethernet cable if you have a laptop with you. Sockets are standard U.K. 3 pin plugs but there were only 2 in our room so maybe take an extension cable with you if you need a lot of sockets for charging phones, tablets etc. Not really a hotel aimed at kids but we knew this and our children are perfectly happy entertaining themselves in the pools. Staff were absolutely first rate, couldn't fault a single one of them. We didn't use the Red Roon restaurant as we had the children and it is over 14's only but we did go to Il Mare fine dining restaurant one night which was a fantastic experience. Beautiful food served with such attention to detail. You will come away feeling full! The hotel as a whole is very tastefully decorated and incredibly clean and well maintained. We would love to return one day and I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel. Deserving of 5*More
Definitely not a 5* Hotel
A very disappointing stay at the Atlantica Miramare Beach Hotel in Limassol/Cyprus, especially as Thompsons advertises this hotel as a 5* when clearly it does not meet with the 5* standards which I have experienced at their other hotels. At best, I feel that this hotel should be rated as a 4*. I believe that if Thompson’s were to re-evaluate this hotel and grade it accurately and truthfully then guest would not be disappointed and have unrealistic expectations. There are some good points to highlight, as the hotel was very clean and the staff go above and beyond to ensure that they provide excellent service. The two ‘al a carte’ restaurants were very impressive and definitely worth a visit. Unfortunately the bad points: • The food was repetitive and limited and the restaurant often ran out of dishes especially if they had other functions taking place the same day. • All-inclusive guest appear to be frowned upon, as you are penalised in terms of what times you can access food from the outdoor restaurant compared to half-board guest. • All-inclusive drinks are their own bands, with a very limited cocktail section. The Koi bar refuses you entry upon spotting your all-inclusive wrist band. This is due to the fact that drinks are at a cost in this bar. Very humiliating as I was more than willing to pay for a decent cocktail had the bar staff given me the option to speak before shooing me away. • I was shocked to have to pay for the use of the Safe. This is something that I have never encountered before at 5* hotels. I expected to pay a deposit, but felt it was a bit of a money making scheme to charge guest for this facility. • The in-room mini-bar was locked and should you request for this to be open it was again at a cost. • The adult pool was constantly being used by young children and this was overlooked by the staff. I felt that this was a safeguarding issue as the pools depth is not suitable for young children. • I am not against males being expected to wear long trousers for dining, however, it really was not fitting at his hotel as it was not a 5* dining experience However, the worst aspect of this hotel came about when a member of our party got stuck in the lift. I received a text from a family member who said that they were stuck in the lift and had been there of over 30 minutes. I went to the reception desk and asked what was being done to help the people who were stuck in the lift. I was told that it was all in hand and that the maintenance team were on their way. Alarmingly, this was not the case and 20 minutes later my family member appeared covered in blood as she and other guest had cut their hands on the doors as they climbed through an 18inch gap in order to get out of the lift. The shocking fact of this incident was that the maintenance team were never contacted and the role of opening the lift doors was left in the hands of two young porters who were totally out of their depth in this situation. More horrifying was the lack of after-care. The guest was visibly distressed and hurt upon their release and clearly in need of First Aid. This was not provided, as there were no trained First Aiders on site. Although it can be argued that the guest had exceeded the maximum weight restriction as there were 6 people inside the lift at the time, this information is not visible upon entering. Once inside the lift you may notice a very small sign stating a maximum of 5 people. This is not really suitable signage and I feel Management must address this situation and place a clear sign on the outside of the lift to avoid this happening again. Sadly I would not return to this hotel or recommend.More
Amazing Family holiday
So we decided to stay at the Atlantica Miramare Beach and were hoping the reviews were spot on...which they were. This hotel we found in the Thomson Platinum brochure so the hotel was going to have to live up to some high expectations and we were not disappointed in any way. So this is a 4 star hotel, not 5 star although it has 5 T's in the Thomson brochure. Check in was probably the best we've ever experienced, quick and efficient. Champagne and orange juice plus a hot towel. Manager also introduced himself on check in and the hotel had laid on bottles of wine, cheese and biscuits due to late arrival. They also gave us a dining card to use on our last day as we had missed the evening meal. We had originally taken the holiday as half board but after spending 120 Euros on our first day in drinks alone (£5 for a beer £3 soft drink £3 milk shakes...there are 5 of us!) plus ice cream etc we decided to upgrade on site. Initially the reception informed us that we could only upgrade both rooms to all inclusive not just one (my 15 and 17 year old children do not drink alcohol nor eat during the day). 25 Euros a day each for my wife and myself and 12.5 Euros a day for our 10 year old to upgrade to all inclusive. However when we spoke to Mira, guests relations, she was extremely helpful and ensured we were able to upgrade just the one room instead of two which was great for us. As mentioned in many reviews it's the staff that really make this hotel special. Nothing ever seems too much for them and they really make you feel special. Professional and attentive at all times, extremely friendly, always smiling, they are absolutely fantastic. The whole staff training ethos is spot on, couldn't praise them highly enough. Food is excellent, lots of choice, gammon is fantastic! Red Room...7 course meal, lamb is devine, excellent meal. The outside restaurant is also excellent (albeit food was a bit on the luke warm side). Buffet restaurant is really good, always seated by friendly staff and waiter service for drinks was efficient and quick. The Monday evening invite to the BBQ both weeks was vey welcome....fantastic evening and an opportunity to meet other English guests, nice touch by Thomson. Entertainment in the hotel was really good. Paul Thomas, the magician, was absolutely brilliant and both of his weekly shows were very enjoyable. He engaged with the audience really well and some of his magic tricks were just brilliant. We ventured out to the water park in Limassol for the day and it was great, kids really enjoyed themselves hurtling down the slides there. 15 euros in a cab if you don't want the stress of waiting for a packed bus (that actually didn't turn up at our stop as it was too full already). Location of hotel was excellent, right on the beach...not a great beach but sea was cool and refreshing and water sports are excellent (banana boats, crazy sofa rides, para sailing, jet skis etc). There was jetty that you can jump off rather than negotiating the rocks if you walk into the sea. Sun beds were never a problem especially around the adults only pool. Indoor pool was excellent, always empty and had a jacuzzi. They could probably do with a better teenage games room as the hotel is definitely not catered for teenagers. One room with a shoddy old table tennis table and a pool table (and dart board) wasn't really great for youngsters. My wife got locked in the bathroom due to a faulty lock one evening (don't laugh!) and the maintenance guy was there in minutes, managing to free my wife in next to no time. Mira, guests relations lady was really sympathetic and offered my wife a massage (in the spa I hasten to add). This was a nice touch....I believe....and once again showed how wonderful the staff are at this hotel. So to sum up our holiday we had an amazing time, wonderful location and fantastic staff made our stay very enjoyable. The weather was 36 degrees and we didn't see a cloud for 2 weeks. Thank you Miramare Beach for a wonderful family holiday, you certainly excelled yourselves.More
