The beachfront Atlantica Miramare Beach is a contemporary hotel that offers a relaxing pool scene and first-class dining.
This hotel is pulled right up next to a beach, so you can get to the sand in a few steps. Take a 10-minute drive along the shoreline, and you’ll come across the area’s marina and a line-up of seafront tavernas.
Inside, the hotel is really stylish. We’re talking coffee and cream-coloured sofas in a softly lit lobby, a red-on-red restaurant, and all-white wicker sofas in a bar terrace that floats over a koi carp pond.

Nice hotel although location not great
The hotel has many good features but unfortunately some not so great features. Thomson's say it is a five star platinum, it is not five stars, indeed the hotel itself states it is a four stars. I personally would say somewhere between 3.5 and 4 stars. On arrival you receive a lovely greeting with an explanation about the hotel's facilities while enjoying a glass of fizz, and your cases are whisked off to your room. We had a sea view on the fifth floor and it was a very reasonably sized room, clean and no problems at all, the bathroom has a bath and shower over, with a curtain to use when showering, the type that sticks to your leg uggg. There is a safe, fridge and kettle, but unfortunately you have to pay for each of them. Why hotels need to add these charges in this day and age is ridiculous, if you stayed in a 4 or 5 star hotel in the UK these would be included. Apparently if you use the fridge to cool a bottle of your own water there is a daily charge - just nonsenses. The hotel itself is not in a great position, not far from the hotel it seems quite run down, with very few restaurants and bars that I would have wanted to visit. There was only one bar in the hotel open but that will increase as it moves into the summer and I'm sure the outdoor spaces in the evening will be good. The bar staff are all very helpful and cheery, some more so than others (Yanis and Mia in particular were excellent). The restaurant was a big let down and I've noticed others commenting on this. The selection of food was very average, although the sweets were excellent. The biggest criticism is something that many others have commented but the hotel has not taken it on board, the fact that the food is never hot, indeed on many occasions it was cold. I don't know if it is a British thing that we like our food hot but it was a real problem constantly eating at best warm food. It wouldn't take a lot for the hotel to upgrade their facilities to ensure hot food. The more 'senior' waiters in the restaurant don't know the meaning of a smile and chat (with the exception of the Liverpuddlian waiter) while the younger waiters would chat away and engage with you. We were all inclusive which I would recommend as drinks are around 5 euros and 6 for cocktails, with current exchange rates it could get expensive. There is plently of room around the pool and no problem whatsoever getting sun beds. You can get a bus into Limassol for 1.5 euros or walk along a costal path which is approximately 5K. Limassol itself is not great, they have spent lots of money around the Marina area and old port and it is impressive with the Yachts, but the Old Town is poor with little to see apart from lots of tacky tourist shops - a real disappointment.More

Met at airport and shown to coach and then told our journey would be 45 minutes. Don't believe it, double it at least! The score I have given is for the hotel and staff not the area which unfortunately is a bit run down. If you want to be pampered and looked after in a good hotel then this is it. Arrived to a warm welcome, champagne and cold towel. The staffed did everything apart from sign our name. Room was well appointed (more later) after a quick spruce up we went down for dinner. Others have said food was never hot and there is some truth in this but it was good! A drink in the bar followed and pleased to say AI drinks were a very good quality. The room was noisy as we we over looked the car park which wasn't pleasant and not very picturesque. After two days we upgraded to a sea view room for just 10 euros per night, a good decision and I recommend you do it. We were not lucky with the weather but this was not the hotels fault. Also, it was early in the year so not every bar or facility was open Josh, the rep is very good. No matter how you approach him or with what his calm cheerful and very helpful character will win you over. He always seems to be around which is also good. Only went on one trip, to Nicosia, a place I frequented a lot in another life. Don't bother with it, guide was good but I felt I was on a school trip. Someone told me they hired a taxi between for if them for 190 euros for the whole day, do that instead. Sorry Josh. Did use the bus to go to the new Mall, a bit like Meadowhall, just a bit smaller. 1.50 euro each way, and buses a great. It is a long way so don't panic and it is worth a visit. Red Room was only open twice a week for invited guests only. This was fantastic! Silver service and great food. One last one on food, you can order bar food outside normal times, well worth it. Menu on the bar. All staff are great, special mention to the bar staff, especially the two girls and Yanis, always seem to be at your elbow offering drinks. William is an English guy in the restaurant and helpful, but they are all good really. The staff in reception and the porter could not be more helpful. I saw people complaining, can't think what about but they were very professional as were customer service girls. All in a good hotel which I think will be even better in high season when weather is better and everything is open.More
