Atlantica Miramare Beach

The beachfront Atlantica Miramare Beach is a contemporary hotel that offers a relaxing pool scene and first-class dining.

This hotel is pulled right up next to a beach, so you can get to the sand in a few steps. Take a 10-minute drive along the shoreline, and you’ll come across the area’s marina and a line-up of seafront tavernas.

Inside, the hotel is really stylish. We’re talking coffee and cream-coloured sofas in a softly lit lobby, a red-on-red restaurant, and all-white wicker sofas in a bar terrace that floats over a koi carp pond.

First time to Cyprus and all inclusive.

I haven't been all inclusive before as I personally like to get out and see the place I'm visiting, however my partner loves them so I thought I'd give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised. Hotel was excellent. Breakfast was very good, I only tried the lunch once which was fine. The evening meal was good quality. My only complaint, and it's not against the hotel, is that with it being a buffet type meal as a couple it's not quite the eating out experience that I like. The pools and there staff were very good. The all inclusive drinks were very good and the bar staff were fun and helpful.More

First visit to Cyprus

This was our first visit to Cyprus and we could not have been happier with the hotel Atlantica Miramare. The staff were very friendly and professional, nothing was too much trouble although we had nothing to trouble them about. It has excellent facilities, right on the beach, lovely swimming pools and bar areas. Managed to watch some world cup rugby despite there being a lot of football on as they had so many areas to watch tv including good coverage in the room. Food was excellent and being all inclusive there was no real any reason to leave the hotel. If there was any criticism it was the location being in a city but not much to do locally. As I have said the hotel was so good there was no real need to go outside anyway.More

I'm at the hotel now! Sitting on the balcony in mid October with the sun on my back, it's been around 28* all week, lovely, we had a late check in but we're very surprised to have a cold plate of food waiting in our room and a bottle of wine! Champagne on arrival also. We are half board and the choice of food at every serving is plentiful and tasty, We are only disappointed with the beach but we knew before we arrived that it is what it is, small and stones, there are a number of chairs facing the sea but very early on they are covered with towels, the same at the pool then left for hours with nobody on them! This should be stopped! The pools are both lovely and very clean, one is adults only but haven't seen any children at this hotel up to now. Bed is big and comfortable and bathroom is good too, rooms are cleaned daily and then checked if up to standard when guests are present, excellent! Off to find a sandy beach today! Apparently bus no 30 takes us to Raffael beach in 15 minutes! Check in later to let you know how it goes. More

First stay visit to this hotel

Without exception ALL the staff were excellent, friendly and helpful whether it was in the bar or the restaurants. I am a coeliac and at every meal time the chef came out and told me exactly what I could and couldn't eat. This still comes as a surprise and believe me it doesn't always happen, so well done to them.More

Ok, nothing Spectacular

Having read the reviews of the Atlantica Miramare I find it difficult to understand how visitors rate it the standard they do – either they have never been on holiday before or their standards are lacking, below is a very honest review.. Arrival: On arrival glass of champagne, warm cloth & selection of cold meats & cheese in room that tasted more like warm meats & cheese. Room: New block, big room not particularly clean, smeary balcony windows dirty seals, the odd hair on the floor, the valance of the bed had come away & was just stuffed between the two hoping no one would pull it away & see – I only did as I dropped my pen, no bag in bedroom bin, bathroom bin had seen better days with rust on the lid, every evening our hairdryers cut out approx 8 times – each time the room went into total darkness & we had to flick the trip to turn it back on - I have never been anywhere in CYPRUS, Europe or America where this has ever happened. On the night before we were due to leave we’d come back from dinner to find a massive Cockroach crawling on the floor!! We had no bath just a shower – all that separated the shower from the bathroom was a flimsy shower curtain so of course the floor got all nice & wet despite us having a towel on the floor, there was no shelf in the shower to put our products so we resulted to keeping them on the floor as we showered also a shower mat would have been handy as the shower floor could get quite slippery and dangerous. Pool/Beach: Big outdoor space plenty of beds & pool rather empty I guess probably due to being in September rather than summer months, beach ok very stoney as walking into. Pool staff/Atlantis Wet bar lovely friendly very welcoming. Was disgusted that mid-week into our holiday the maintenance guys decided to trim the hedge by the kids pool & play area the noise went on for hours – is this really what you expect when on holiday – I don’t – either do it at 6 or 7 in the morning or 6 or 7 at night but not at 9,10,11 am. SPA: Staff again friendly, it was good that the use of the steam room & sauna was free, the steam room could have done with a good clean between the tiles on the seats though. Dinner/Dining hall: Restaurant staff they were lovely very friendly & welcoming. Food – never hot always luke warm, selection not huge but on reflection enough considering what I saw on peoples plates it’s probably a good thing that there wasn’t copious amounts of food as it would have been a waste, tables at breakfast either had all the necessary things on it e.g. little bin for rubbish/teabags or it didn’t – it was never consistent. Tables could have done with a good wiping down. The barbecue night put on for new arrivals was lovely – proper traditional Greek cuisine – exactly what it should be. Entertainment: Was on the whole ok, typical hotel entertainment– the fire & magician show was good, Greek dancing ok, bar staff again were friendly. Departure: Unable to extend room until departure due to “full hotel” – never have I been in a hotel where this wasn’t possible; even if we were to be moved to another room, fortunately a couple of girls we met at the barbecue night let us use there’s to get ready they were in the same block as us but with a sea-view, yes it was nice but no way near worth all the extra money charged especially when all you should use your room for whilst on holiday is to sleep & get ready – our room in the new block faced the tennis courts & it was quiet as the hotel is situated down from the main road. The room our new found friends let us use to get ready did not have a problem with the electricity when we used our hair dryers – it didn’t cut out once!! We were given a sandwich & muffin to take to the airport with us – how insulting a dry roll with a bit of ham & cheese inside & a dry muffin – would have been better to have received nothing. To sum up my holiday it was on the whole ok, but nothing spectacular – I booked only 5 weeks prior & was fortunate we paid what we did no way would I pay over £650 or close to £834 which it was the price it was going up to nearer the time, we had good weather something that’s nearly almost guaranteed so I can’t complain about that. Visit the Miramare if you are after the weather & get a good deal – don’t pay over the odds as it is so not worth it. Definitely not Thompson Platinum more of a tarnished gold!! More
