The Secret Oasis Villas balance on the edge of Coral Bay, where banana and orange trees outnumber houses. That said, they’re also just a five-minute drive from the restaurants, shops and beach.
Smart, private pools come surrounded by terraces with teal sunloungers. The villas have their own barbecues and al fresco dining areas, too – all overlooking the orchard-dressed countryside.
Traditional and contemporary looks combine at the Secret Oasis Villas – you’ll find stone pillars on the outside and smart wooden furniture and mod-cons on the inside.
Thomson Villas with Pools is now called Villas Collection. Whether you’re after a place with a pool, or a rustic retreat in the heart of the countryside, this is where you’ll find it. Read more ››

Get away from it all
We booked a one week stay at the Anemona Villa through Thomson. It is a lovely spacious, bright and comfortable villa away from the main tourist hotels in the Coral Bay area. There were two of us and this villa was more than big enough for us, we were outside all the time. It is also very private. Anemona is a detached villa that borders a neighbours home occupied by a local family. They keep dogs that bark throughout the night, however they were really quiet during the day. The other Secret Oasis villas are pretty much opposite and look beautiful aswell. We chose not to have air conditioning as we love the heat, this meant that we could hear the dogs barking at night as we had the windows and doors open. This was our personal experience and perhaps other people would choose to sleep with windows closed and aircon on which may prevent the noise from disturbing sleep. We made the Thomson rep aware of the issue and kept recordings, the rep liased with the landlord and the neighbour did manage to reduce the barking. Aircon is an additional cost if you need it, we love the heat and hate aircon. However, it is worth factoring the cost of aircon into your holiday as there isn't a lot of breeze around and only x2 floor fans if you are too hot. The main bedroom has a firm double bed, dressing table, lots of wardrobe space (inc hangers) and a proper hairdryer. The bathroom has a shower over bath, basin and toilet. The second bedroom has two single beds, wardrobes and access to a family bathroom with a shower cubicle. Kitchen has a washing machine, dish washer, electric hob, oven, large fridge, small freezer box, microwave, basic cutlery, plates and pans. Dishwasher tablets are supplied along with x2 tea towels. Nothing else is supplied to clean or cook with, so buy at the local supermarket or bring your own. We took with us clingfilm, kitchen roll, anti bacterial kitchen wipes, wash up liquid, salt pepper, cafettiere, coffee, teabags, coolbags, water bottles, tupperware, bin liner and a spare toilet roll from home. Two bottles of water were in the fridge on our arrival. We should have also brought handwash for the bathroom. The outdoor pool area is lovely with x4 sunloungers an umbrella and access to shade if you need it. You need to bring your own beach/pool towels are they are not supplied. The wifi is good enough to stream, surf and download so we could watch films under the stars at night on our ipad and download lots more books to read during the day around the pool. Pool guy comes before 8am three times a week, very quiet and polite gentleman. The nearest supermarket is less than 5 minute drive towards Coral Bay called Phillipos. It is very well stocked and the bakery has the freshest and best bread, pastries and cakes. It never had Feta cheese though! The Lidl supermarket is approx 10 minutes away towards Paphos and they had a good selection too (especially Feta cheese) A car is necessary to get around, however once settled at the villa you can explore on foot the banana plantations around the villa. If you put Mavrokolympus Dam into Google Earth you can see whereabouts you will be. There is some construction going on nearby and you can see and hear the machinery and vehicles throughout the day. It is not horrendous and the works are not continuous. It did not affect our solitude or peace during our stay. My partner was badley bitten by sand flies outside at the villa, however I was totally OK. I would recommend bringing an insect repellent with you. There are lots of Gecko's and otherwildlife to watch around the villa. We were lucky enough to see a Whip snake one day by the pool - as soon as it saw us it took off straight away. The Thomson flight is basic, no entertainment and very cramped. Ensure you have got enough food and drink aswell as plenty of reading material etc to pass the time. We arrived late on a Sunday evening, I recommend buying food at the UK airport for when you land as there is nothing at Paphos airport and it may be tricky to eat at a restaurant late on a Sunday night. The free car hire is free if you ask for a full/full fuel arrangement, you don't have to upgrade your excess in case of collision etc. however, the Europcar agents do try and give you a scare story/hard sell. You have to allow them to hold £200 on your credit card incase you get any parking tickets etc, they don't charge anything though its just for security. The Kia Picanto is very small and will accomodate x2 suitcases for two adults but if there is anymore of you then you may have to upgrade the car. It was economical and easy to drive. We checked it over with the car hire firm in the dark for dents etc. It all went smoothly and I didn't feel as if we would be ripped off! We had a lovely, chilled out week and would definitely recommend the Anemona Villa for a laid back, relaxing holiday. Thank you very much to the Landlord for an enjoyable and much needed weeks holiday.More
Relaxing family holiday
Just returned from a fabulous holiday at villa yiasmin. Just to warn people who book through Thomson, the free car hire is not free. Unless you don't upgrade... After arriving late in the evening we were forced into upgrading our insurance otherwise we would have had a â¬1000 holding fee. Due to flying in late at night and expecting one car for six, not two little cars, we were exhausted and just wanted to get to the villa. Please check the cars over for every scratch and dint, we held a few torches to do this as it was dark. Otherwise you may not get your money back at the end of the holiday. I downloaded the map from paphos international airport to dam service Road so that you can view it off line, it took us straight to the villa and didn't eat my Internet data. Otherwise the lovely rep Gives you paper directions. Onto the villa. It was lovely, it has three bedrooms and has an open plan kitchen, lounge and dining room. Two bedrooms have single beds & one double. Two rooms had ensuite. It was clean & tidy. The villa is homely & has a TV, radio & dvd player. Their is lots of kitchen essentials, we took kitchen roll & washing up liquid, however their was a dishwasher and tablets to use. We used the oven, microwave & washing machine. All were clean & worked well. Outside there is a nice sized pool, with 6/7 sunbeds, bbq area, table and six chairs. Their is a large shaded area & garden. Plus an area to peg your washing out. The villa over looks the valley and sea. Their is nothing about other than a few other villas dotted around. Please note, the air conditioning is an extra cost. It cost us â¬7 per unit per day. Their are three units in the bedrooms We had read other reviews so were prepared for the extra coat. These are essential as the temperature was around 30 degrees in the evening. Their is a fan in the lounge area, but isn't of much use in the stifling heat. If you let the rep know on arrival she sends the owner to turn it on the next day, so be prepared for one hot night. We spoke to the pool man on the first day & he was lovely, iv seen some reviews saying he was on his phone & woke them up. This isn't true, we didn't see or hear him during the rest of the holiday. He comes on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturday's. Car hire is essential due to the remote nature of the villa. It's five minutes to coral bay & about twenty to paphos, where their are loads of restaurants, bars and shops. In coral bay their is a good supermarket called phillipo's & it sells everything you will need. We took a few bits with us, to tide us over. If your looking for peace & relaxation this is the villa for you. We will definitely return! Iv added a few pictures of villa yiasmin, as their are none on thomsons website. More
Fantastic views and great space at Villa Yiasmin, Secret Oasis, Coral Bay
Just a note before you get to meat of this review (my first, please be gentle!), I'll preface the below with a note that we bought time at this villa as part of a package from Thomson Villas in the UK. Our family arrived off the plane in Paphos from the Birmingham flight that gets in quite late at around 2300. We were met just outside customs by the friendly Thomson rep (Bridie) who gave directions to the villa, basic instructions for opening the keysafe and turning on the electricity. It is worth spending 15minutes at your leisure at home familiarising yourself to the villa's location on Google maps before you go. The villa isn't hard to find, but you'll be fore-armed to know that if you hit Coral Bay, you'll know that you've gone past the entrance to 'Mavrokolympos Dam' on the main Paphos-Coral Bay road. This villa does need a car as it's far enough away from amenities to make walking impractical for necessities. Take the time with the car rentals team at the airport to make sure you're not charged for extras you don't need (E.g. don't buy the full tank of fuel, but do a full-full return and top up at the many filling stations in Paphos before you return. You'll be asked for a larger pre-auth on your credit card, but will get this back on return). Be prepared to spend some time working out whether you want extra collision insurance (your credit card may already cover this), an upgrade (the basic car will fit 3 adults with 3x20kg luggage, using part of the back seat), sat nav (your phone may do this) or any other doodas. I emphasise working a strategy for this out beforehand as all this can start your vacation with a sour note as you could easily be down â¬200+ or so before you leave the airport. If you're late arriving like us, it'll be dark and the car rental guy checking the car for dents should do it with a torch. Again, take your time with this and point out any chips, dents, deflated tyres, or nicks in the windscreen - it could be a painful airport return, possibly when you're in a hurry, if there's an unnoticed dent in the door. OK, on to the villa! The directions for the villa were pretty straightforward from Paphos airport and it was around 30mins with no traffic. Again, if you're arriving late it'll be worth stopping to pick up breakfast essentials at one of the many kiosk shops on the roads through Paphos. The villa is at the very end of the public road on the way to the Mavrokolympos Dam signposted from the main road between Paphos and Coral Bay. Villa Yiasmin has a spacious open plan kitchen/living dining interior, clearly designed for 6 people. The downstairs is configured as one double room with en-suite, one twin room and one main bathroom. There is one upstairs twin room with en-suite and access to the large rooftop balcony area. Facilities wise, the villa is very well equipped. Bedding and basic bathroom towels are provided (you will need to provide your own beach towels). There is a hair dryer. Showers are good and, between the 3 of us, we never ran out of hot water. The kitchen area is spacious and has all amenities one could hope for. A good size fridge/freezer, kettle, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, electric hob and electric fan oven. Someone mentioned that there wasn't a sharp knife in the kitchen drawer - there is now. Everything was clean and tidy and there was enough basic amenity stuff (dishwasher powder, dishwashing soap, bin bags etc.) to get you started. There was also tea and instant coffee. Outside the kitchen area, there's a 6-seater dining room table. In the same area, there's a bookshelf with some UK paperbacks that other holidaymakers have left behind. There is wifi through the villa with a decent speed (about 10Mbps) for those people who can't be without it (me!). It is worth noting that there is air-con *only* in the bedrooms, and this has to be bought separately. In June 2016, this was â¬7 per room, per day, but for me, this was an essential, especially as temperatures climb into the 30s (and up) during the day and may not get below 25 outside at night. You will need to call the owner or contact your Thomson rep to make this happen - the owner will then come and set-up the aircon and will expect payment in advance for the rest of the week(s) that you'll be using this facility. Seven nights will be another â¬98 onto your holiday that you need to budget for. Outside, around the pool are sun loungers for 6 and in the shade next to the living area is a table and chairs, also for 6. The pool is clean and was cleaned regularly during our stay, but we didn't notice the person doing the work. Size-wise, though the pool is stated as 8m, that's probably not really true unless you count the steps as well! It's definitely a leisure rather than a swimming pool, but great for cooling off in when the sun gets too high. Depth was <1m to around 1.8m at the deepest. The covered area is also a brilliant relief away from the heat and we spent our time moving from pool, to sun, to porch. Repeat. The whole pool area is also blessed with an amazing view, all the way down the valley through distant banana fields to the sea, and while it was warm, almost every day had a nice breeze to help offset the heat. In addition and also outside there's a good sized metal barbecue in an area adjacent to the pool. Nearby there's also a decent size area for hanging out washing. We did use the washing machine and, while it took a long time to work, it did a decent job of getting the grime out. We did discover (after the fact and via google translate) that there is a quick-wash setting. The villa is about 4km from the nearest decent size shop (Phillipo's in Coral Bay) where you can expect to pick up pretty much anything you'll need - it's incredibly well stocked, including UK stuff, if you're looking for the comforts of home. Definitely a supermarket in the British mould. Credit cards are taken. One note on Coral Bay - it does have a small but decent strip of eating and drinking establishments. We sampled one (Blazing Saddles) that had domestic and imported beer. Food was ok, not great. Even though the villa is only 3.5km from the Coral Bay "strip", you'll pay â¬12 *each way* for a taxi (this is the Paphos rate, twice what you'll pay for a similar ride in Limassol). Drink driving rules in Cyprus are similar to the UK. In summary, Yiasmin villa is good sized interior space, with a nice open view that's also very private and offers inside-outside living that really made our holiday something special. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it for families looking for a fantastic place to relax and chill.More
This is our second visit to the villa violetta. And i have to say it was just like coming home. Andreas still comes to clean the pool and is still just as helpful and friendly. Has updated the pool furniture since our last visit, and replaced the curtains in the bedrooms with blinds. But was still just as clean, tidy and peaceful as always. The perfect place to relax and unwind. The only downside is they no longer provide a welcome pack and if you arrive late in the evening there are no shops open to buy supplies. More

We stayed for a week in the villa Yasmine. Spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The villa is not over looked so very private. It's location at the head of the valley gives a fabulous view out to the sea. Paphos and Coral Bay are not far away for those that want restaurants, cafes etc. We made use of the excellent fresh produce available at the Philipos supermarket and barbequed most evenings. Air conditioning is available at extra cost.More
