From the moment of arrival which was late, there was a warm welcome, food in our room. The rooms are amazing and very comfortable, excellent air-con. With only 88 rooms this is more of a boutique hotel and adults only. The pool areas are amazing and sunbeds really comfy, overlooking the fig tree bay....clear waters to swim in, plenty of water sports. The food at this hotel was excellent, the staff are very friendly, we could not fault this hotel.....close to a Protaras Main Street with restaurants and bars if you want a more lively evening....would definitely return. Stayed with friends (3 couples) and can only say it was MORE than fabulous. We had deluxe studio on fourth floor which was fantastic. The room was exactly the same as what was shown on photos on website no photography lies needed here. Tea/coffee making facilities, separate loo to shower, twin basins in room marvellous balcony and view. Food of the highest quality and variety. Three pools one being hydro pool kept immaculate. Spa treatments of which four of our party had not overpriced and lady from Lithuania (sorry can't remember your name) was friendly warm and knew her stuff, very enjoyable and beneficial. Now the staff - all I can say is if I had a business I would employ every one of them without a moment's hesitation. "What a team" a sentiment agreed on by manager Nickolas while saying they had a "good manager" which was confirmed by the staff we asked. It was leading by example because we saw and spoke to the manager for the 14 days we were there. Special mention to Nina who looked after us almost every morning and lunch time, Bogdan, Ioni, Nora, Sophia, Suzanne, Karmen, Katerina but thank you to everyone. Not forgetting Bryony Thomson rep keep up your 10 rating. The only small niggle was the music played throughout mealtime more obvious outside than in perhaps something more generalised as jazz is specific genre. This review is a little late as we stayed in June and have been on holiday since when our prediction came true that in comparison to the king Jason it didn't stand a chance!!!!!! Many many thanks love to you all Jean and IanMore
Double Anniversary and birthday celebration
First visit to the King Jason Protaras. Party of 6. Celebrating 2 Pearl wedding anniversary's and a birthday. We had informed Thomson about our anniversaries but were surprised to find Champagne and chocolates in our rooms on the respective days. Lovely touch. They also noticed the birthday from the passports and left a birthday cake in the fridge to help him celebrate.. All of the staff were very good and helpful making us feel very welcome. The food and drink were excellent. We did feel very sorry for the waitresses having to wear trousers and thick material T shirts in the high temperatures. Skirts and blouses would be more comfortable for them. Perhaps something that the management could review ? Our party all agreed that this was one of the best hotels that we have stayed at and we would like to return. Thanks again for all the effort put in by all members of the staff to make our holiday one to remember. Ludford party More
This is the best hotel I have ever stayed in, it's definitely earnt its 5 star rating. From arrival the manager is there to greet you and congratulated us on out wedding. The manger is often wandering around making sure guests are happy and have everything they need. Even when we checked put the manger was there to thank us for our visit and say farewell. The staff at this hotel are second to none and they treat you like kings! Unlike other hotels the staff seem genuinely happy in their jobs and really look after the guests. The food is top quality and very well presented and there is plenty of different types of food everyone. Thankfully the variety of food meant you didn't get bored as it was different each night & being a fussy eater I was pleasantly surprised. The hotel is spotlessly clean including the pool. It's about a 5 min walk to the strip which has a variety of bars and restaurants. We only went out a couple of times for a walk as there is only so many tribute acts you can see and there is a lot of cheesy bars around if that's your sort of thing. We had planned to go on a few excursions but we were so relaxed and enjoyed the hotel we didn't bother! We had a suite on the 5th floor with epic views and the room had a separate lounge, bathroom, wc & bedroom. Fully equipped with a fridge stocked with water. It also had a hair dryer (A decent one!), iron and ironing board. They also supply lovely shampoo, shower gel & hand soap (none of that rubbish you normally get). Towls are replaced every other day and the bedding was also changed whilst we were on our stay for a week. The drinks are plenty and there is a huge variety of branded spirits, beer & wine. As a non drinker I loved all the soft drinks and non alcoholic cocktails. This is a fantastic hotel and I would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for pure luxury! More
Simply the best
My wife and I spent two weeks at the King Jason in August and we cannot praise this hotel and its staff enough. The room was beautiful and even had a supper in the fridge as we arrived late in the evening. Every single member of staff from the manager to the cleaners deserves praise, never have we known such friendly hard working people, always keen to ensure all our needs were catered for. Special mention to George at the pool bar, Spyrus for his fantastic waiter service around the pool, Suzi in the restaurant who was so pleasant and happy from morning until night. The food was fantastic every day. We've stayed in numerous hotels in Protaras over the years and the King Jason in our opinion is the best. Martin & RosaMore
