The Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa counts a brilliant dining scene, a state-of-the-art spa and an attractive pool area among its best features.
This place has scored a plum position on one of the area’s best beaches. It means you’re only steps from the sand, and a short stroll takes you into Protaras, where you’ll find a cluster of tavernas and cafés.
The hotel is really stylish – think geometric marble pillars coupled with softly curved recesses. The pool scene’s pretty swish, too. You’ll find Balinese-style daybeds framing the water.
Stayed here from the end of August to the start of September and just had a great time! Being someone who checks everything against tripadvisor and being put off hotels very easily with bad reviews I was relieved to find this place with only one terrible review and even that was just from somebody complaining that it was cold in October...seriously?!!
The hotel is the best looking in the whole area and it was clear everyone on the coach was a tad jealous when we were dropped off. Check in was quick and easy and we were given a nice glass of fruit juice too which was welcome after the coach ride from the airport! Porters took our luggage to our room and showed us around. We stayed in 217 and it was just great! Clean, simple modern room (with a bed wider than I am tall) and bathroom - you could get the sound from the tv in the bathroom which we weirdly enjoyed! Rooms were kept really clean by the lovely staff, with chocolates and fresh bottles of water each day.
Reviewing two rooms as half way through our stay we were called to reception to be told we could be upgraded to a suite with a jacuzzi for free if we wanted, which of course we did! Two floors, with a bathroom and living room area on the ground floor with the jacuzzi outside and another bathroom, bedroom and walk in wardrobe on top! It was just lovely!
Allocating sunbeds is the best idea! But make sure seeing the pool attendants is one of the first things you do if you're picky about where you want to be placed, say if you wanted to be by the adults pool as opposed to the kids pool. Ice cold towels and fresh fruit are handed out every day poolside which we loved and the attendants are constantly making the rounds if you wanted bedside service. The pools are great, there was an aqua aerobics session on most if not all days and the ladies hosting them were fab! There are poolside showers and toilets too. The beach is literally at the rear of the hotel and the water was just beautiful, clear blue and warm! There are also plenty of watersports and activities on the beach - parasailing, waterskiing, pedalos etc. which was great.
The food at the waterfall (buffet) restaurant was soooo good! Plenty of variety and in small portions so you can try everything, make sure you try the chocolate cake it's incredible! There was a pianist playing every evening and it just created such a nice atmosphere. We had pretty much every lunch in the mistral restaurant which is poolside and the food was always great, but if you're particularly fussy there is a pizza hut opposite the hotel and a mcdonalds a walk up the road to the right! We also tried the dine around option where you could trade your evening meal at the waterfall restaurant for any of the restaurants belonging to their sister hotel. We went to the Italian and the pan-Asian restaurants and the food was great at both, well worth a try but remember they need to be booked at least a day in advance at the kiosk in reception!
The location is so handy; beachfront and with a strip of bars, restaurants, shops and very handy supermarkets. There's a good atmosphere at night there but I do stress absolutely not in an obnoxious way, but if that's what you want luckily you're not far from Ayia Napa and there are cab companies up and down the strip to take you!
Thomson offered plenty of activites and excursions which we didn't try this time as we were just there for a lazy beach holiday, but they looked pretty cool like underwater scooters! Wanted to try the spa and the snow chamber but sadly it was a bit pricey!
Most importantly, the staff were just all so fantastic, so efficient but more importantly just so friendly and committed to making sure you had a great stay. Poolside attendants really made an effort to get to know people and just have a nice chat with you without any agenda. One night someone took my dinner and carried it to the table for me, I felt so spoilt!
I'm very sceptical of rave reviews on trip advisor but I genuinely had a great stay.More

Stayed here in June 2014, for the first time. All i can say is that this hotel is top class. I've been abroad many times over the years and stayed in quality hotels, but this hotel is without doubt the best i've ever stayed in. The staff are wonderful and work so hard to make this hotel the top hotel it is. The hotel is well positioned, right on the beach in the centre of the resort.
The beach is lovely but the resort looks a bit tired, but its ok. I think if this hotel continues to maintain the very high standards it has set, it will become difficult to book as the demand to stay here will be so high.More

Just returned from a two week stay at the Sunrise Pearl The whole stay was absolutely first class The food was excellent The cleanliness of the whole hotel was second to none and the pools were well looked after with the added advantage of your sunbed being allocated for the duration of your stay A real winner.! The main thing I would say about this hotel is that I have never come across hotel staff of such a high standard Nothing was any trouble for them all with no exceptions with a special mention of the restaurant manager and Island Bar StaffMore
