Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa

The Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa counts a brilliant dining scene, a state-of-the-art spa and an attractive pool area among its best features.

This place has scored a plum position on one of the area’s best beaches. It means you’re only steps from the sand, and a short stroll takes you into Protaras, where you’ll find a cluster of tavernas and cafés.

The hotel is really stylish – think geometric marble pillars coupled with softly curved recesses. The pool scene’s pretty swish, too. You’ll find Balinese-style daybeds framing the water.

A real find!!!

I have to say this hotel really impressed. Everything very modern and exceptionally clean, staff friendly and extremely helpful. A real treat is having allocated sun loungers by the pool, which means no pressure to get up and sit on one every morning to make it yours. Probably the best hint about the hotel though is the dine around option. I am never a fan of buffet food, no matter how well they are done they are always boring and just not the same as having an individual meal cooked for you. The hotel has 5 restaurants around Protaras that you can choose from. While I don't suppose they are real gourmet options, i found these much better than eating at the hotels buffet restaurant all week (which we did twice). I never really want to go back to the same hotel more than once, but in this instance i would certainly go back, which from me is a massive endorsement!!More

Wonderful hotel!

Had a fab 1 week stay here for our Honeymoon in mid October. Had a partial sea view room which did feel set back a bit but had the sun on the balcony all morning. The room was spotless and the fittings were of a very high standard. We were half board and really enjoyed the main hotel restaurant (Waterfall) which was buffet style but loads of choice. Went to the hotel fish restaurant which was great but pricy - you got 15 euros towards your meal but most of the mains were more expensive than that. Went to the hotel linked Greek restaurant which was better value - you could chose any starter, main and dessert so just paid extra for drinks which was same as the main hotel restaurant. Protaras is very 'resorty' - didn't feel like real Cyprus but the hotel and gorgeous clear sea made it an enjoyable, relaxing holiday. They put flowers in our room and when they found out it was our honeymoon we were given a bottle of bubbly and fruit hamper. It was also my birthday so was given another bottle of bubbly! Lovely staff members, very helpful. Pools were a bit cold but the whole outside area was spotlessly clean and looked great from every angle.More

Pleasure

This hotel is absolutely beautiful, the hotel staff can't do enough for you,I can't wait to visit this hotel again. The location is central but set back from the main strip so you don't hear any noise. The rooms are absolutely beautiful and very upto date. The only slight pMore

Not worth the money.

Everybody in the town will tell you that this is the best hotel you could choose - well, then don't go to Protaras. But let's start with the good things. Staff is very attending, they spare no efforts to make your stay pleasant. Hotel is new, clean, modern. You can use facilities of the sister 4* hotel - like indoor pool (nothing special), tennis courts (neglected, artificial grass), restaurants, and that's it. Junior suite with garden view and wooden terrace is dark and rather small. Not enough space in the wardrobes for a 4 persons family, which could be easily amended by adding missing shelves. Bathroom small, f.e. our parents double room had two sinks we had just one. Garden view means looking at the neighbouring building wall with few plants in between, it feels really claustrophobic. Pools are freezing, all of them, even those tiny ones for children. Sun beds are alocated at the beginning of your stay, which on the one hand saves you waking up at dawn but on the other hand what if you don't get the one that you would prefer? For example we were 4 adults with 2 children and they could not find us neighbouring sun beds on the "hotel beach", so playing in the sand was gone unless you go and pay for the sun beds on the real beach wich does not belong to hotel. "Hotel beach" means some sand in front of the promenade. Beach with the direct access to the sea is extra payable and exactly in front of our 5* hotel the most narrow, with a cracked concrete sewage? pipe going straith to the sea. Beach was very dirty, maybe due to the big waves that lasted for 3 days. Unfortunatelly after those three days there were no actions undertaken to clean the beach not even an intention of it. So cigarettes, glass bottles, plastic bottles, wood, and whatever you consider as trash was at a full display on the beach. Food is our last dissapointment. Evening buffet in the main restaurat - they try to make it look sophisticated and they even succeed somehow, but unfortunately in taste it looses all it's glamour. Dry and tasteless. If they do serve a good quality f.e. duck one night, it finishes after hour, and never comes back. Almost no fish - I guess they try to make you go to the fish restaurant. No theme evenings - like maybe at least cyprian evening? Fish restaurant expensive, f.e. 85 Eur per 1 kg of fish and still they make it dry. Breakfast is ok, but nothing special, egg buffet saves the day. One morning the weather was bad, wind and rain and capacity of the indoor restaurant is maybe for 30 persons - imagine that with fully booked hotel. I would not come back and would not recommend, there are just better places for the same price.More

Last of the summer sun!

We spend a lot of time and effort looking for suitable places to chill out for a week! The Sunrise Pearl Hotel and Spa did not disappoint in any department. The reviews were all positive which gave us a warm and fuzzy feeling for the coming week. Due to arriving on a later than normal flight we pre warned the hotel regarding miss meals and a special request. The hotel staff were warm and charming on arrival catering for our fatigue with a welcome drink, and a not too detailed in brief! The porter was an imposing gentleman with a very pleasant demeanour and of course super helpful! He attended to every last detail during our arrival and departure! Without exception, all the staff were well mannered, courteous and always willing to assist where possible. Nothing too much trouble! One person stood out during the stay. He was Stellios (Barman) A very pleasant young man indeed and a credit to The Sunrise Pearl. The dine around experience was also worth the effort to try different cuisines. You must try the A La Carte sweets in the hotel - To die for.... My only comment would be that the 'Greek' Kyklos experience was below par and wanted improvement for our liking! But in comparison, The Lemon Grass experience was fantastic. Great staff and a good laugh. Overall, we'll definitely return and recommend this lovely Hotel to all our friends/family. Well done guys - Enjoy the end of season parties! More
