The Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa counts a brilliant dining scene, a state-of-the-art spa and an attractive pool area among its best features.
This place has scored a plum position on one of the area’s best beaches. It means you’re only steps from the sand, and a short stroll takes you into Protaras, where you’ll find a cluster of tavernas and cafés.
The hotel is really stylish – think geometric marble pillars coupled with softly curved recesses. And there's a glass lift, so you get sea views as you zip up to your room. The pool scene’s pretty swish, too. You’ll find Balinese-style daybeds framing the water.

Very nice hotel with fantastic food
Ok before I start, this is a very nice hotel. I have deducted a star for reasons below which may very well be due to the time of year which we stayed. Firstly I must say that the food here is excellent. Breakfast and dinner were included and both had a fantastic selection and the food was fresh and of a very high standard. If I had any criticism it would be the lack of childrens food - you know what I mean - bland type stuff that children fall back on when they won't eat the beautiful marinaded food that the chefs have worked on so hard. Anyway we got by with our kids by removing sauces etc. The hotel itself was very clean, and the room we had was very spacious. We had a deluxe suite with a hot tub which had two floors. We had a large super king bed upstairs with en-suite, and downstairs was a lounge with two small beds for the kids. It suited us perfectly, although the view was non existent as it was on the town side of the hotel. We went at the end of the season and many other hotels had closed for the season. There was a strange 'ghost town' feel about the resort with many bars and restaurants closed. The swimming pools and out door areas are very clean and beautiful to look at. The pools are unfortunately unheated and too cold to actually swim in though at the end of October. Maybe in the heat of mid summer, to cool off, but not when we were there. Other hotels in Cyprus heat the pools a few degrees but it seems not here, which was a shame. Kids wouldn't stay in for more than 10 seconds, so we ended up spending more time on the beach than round the pool. The only other word of warning is more about the resort (Protaras)- it is North East facing and so if you go early or late in the season, you loose the sun by 3pm. However Fig Tree bay which is 5 minutes walk from the hotel is stunning and great for kids.More
In September, this was our second visit to this hotel and it was just as good as last year. We were immediately recognised by several members of staff who were very pleased to see us back. We had a junior suite again which gave us plenty of room, lots of hanging space for clothes and storage drawers in the sitting area. One especially good idea is dedicated sun beds which you choose with the towel attendant. You do have the opportunity to change, if one becomes available that you would prefer. There is a dine around option in the hotel, with five restaurants to choose from for your evening meal. The main buffet is always available but you book the other four. We liked the Italian and the Asian and ate there a couple of times. Staff very friendly and attentive. Special mention for George and Anna in the Waterfall and Mistral. Angelos, Maria and the lovely Mirella in the pool bar, Simona in the indoor bar and Christina at Patisserie Amelie. Only grouch is the pools are too cold for me, but I went in the sea several times. The hotel is right on the beach. Go to Konnos Bay about 15 minutes away. Wonderful beach and nice lunch at restaurant under the trees.More
One word sums this hotel up and it's EXCELLENT. The staff are absolutely amazing. Attention to detail is amazing. Food is amazing. George and his team are incredible. Rooms spotlessly clean. Gorgeous crisp white bedding. Pools gorgeous. Beach fronted and just perfect. I have no hesitation in recommending this wonderful hotel. Another stay is most certain. More
Went here June 2016 with my 6 year old son. We both had a great time. The place was lovely, nice clean rooms & right on the beach. Good pools. Very good choice for dining with super breakfasts! And of course all the staff were excellent.More

Went to this hotel with my wife on recommendation of our son who visited the year previously. Really enjoyed ourselves. Our first time to Cyprus and very easy holiday. There is a path you cross to go to the beach. Hotel policy is for reserving sunloungers so no need to rush for these each day ! Accommodation very clean- we stayed in high up floor (6th) lift was frequent and regular. We stayed on B&B basis with half board supplement where you could choose 4-5 evening eating places ( who seem to be partnered with hotel group). They were ok but the hotel itself had a lovely outside dining area overlooking pool. And, they kept to strict trouser policy for malez ( so no shorts guys!) . Sister hotel next door supposed to be 5 star but frankly didn't impress us - we liked it where we stayed. Overall- excellent for couples, maturer people , some families- great for beach and good value.More
