Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa

The Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa counts a brilliant dining scene, a state-of-the-art spa and an attractive pool area among its best features.

This place has scored a plum position on one of the area’s best beaches. It means you’re only steps from the sand, and a short stroll takes you into Protaras, where you’ll find a cluster of tavernas and cafés.

The hotel is really stylish – think geometric marble pillars coupled with softly curved recesses. The pool scene’s pretty swish, too. You’ll find Balinese-style daybeds framing the water.

Great holiday!!

I just came back from staying at the sunrise pearl hotel! From the moment we arrived we loved it. Greeted with the hotel porter who got our cases from the coach checkin was fast and easy the cases delivered to the room within minutes of arriving. I had room 208 sea view. The air con wasn't the best In this room. Seemed to not be powerful and didn't stay on whilst being out of the room. The turn down service at night was a nice touch and was left chocolates at the side of the bed. We hired a buggy for 4 days and a car for one day from a hire company just down the road and managed to get a good deal and water park tickets for €35. Water park was very busy long ques to get the inflatables to use on the slides. The hotel provides towels daily and your sunbeds Allocated all week which is great! The Asian restaurant and Italian is a must! Lovely food and plenty of choice! In half board your allowed three courses! Visited the fishbone restaurant which is at the hotel and this was my least favourite. The scallops wasn't hot only warm and the black cod was very fishy and quite slimey. You get €15 per person to use in this restaurant. The Greek restaurant is nice with authentic Greek dishes. The reef America grill was also nice the fillet steak at an extra price only €8. We was upgraded for our last two nights to a private suite with hot tub! It was amazing! Try and ask for an upgrade on arrival. The only down side was on the last day there was no availability for late check out. The room to use to get showered was boiling hot and small. It is €75 to keep a room on until 6pm which is worth it in my opinion! Water sports on the front of the hotel stephanos water sports is a must! We hired a peso, speed boat and also went paragliding the prices are reasonable too. Fig tree bay is a short walk to the right song the beach only 6-8mins away. Drinks at the pool are pricey a small soft drink is €2.80 and a milk shake was €4.60. There was a ice cream can at the back of the hotel on the beach water was €0.50 and cans of coke and other soft drinks was €1 so I recommend to nip down to the ice cream van to save some money. Also a corn on the cob stand next to the ice cream van with the tastiest grilled corn for only €2. The hotel grounds are spot on can't fault one thing. I'd say this is one of the nicest hotels in protaras. Once you pull up at the hotel you realise instantly your at a 5* hotel and it was much nicer than hotels we stopped at along the way to drop people off. Ayia Napa is close by about 10 minutes drive- try to visit Nissi beach- gorgeous beach with warm water and a DJ is on each day at the bar on the beach. Lots of fun will definitley be returning to this hotel. More

peter w,

Just returned from the Sunrise Pearl Hotel Aboustely fantastic Hotel we stayed for 14 nights my 13 year old daughter and husband totally relaxed and refreshed. you are given your Sunbeds for the duration of your holidays so no worrying about getting up early to get your sunbeds. We went half board, however they had a dine around service were you are able to go out to other restaurants Lemongrass was our favourite. We were also upgraded on our second week with a swim up pool beautiful. The staff were great always ready to help nothing was too much trouble from the bar staff Maria to the Anna in the Mistral restaurant and George the restaurant Manager. The front desk and bell boys were also very helpful. The rooms were spotless and it was lovely to come back to the Hotel at the end of the night with a turndown service and 3 Praline chocolats waiting for us. We cannot find a fault with this Hotel. We will go back Thank you for a wonderful holidayMore

Relaxing time

We have just spent a week at the Sunrise Pearl. On the positive front we were greeted with a welcome drink on arrival. The room was spacious and the king size bed very comfy. The bathroom was well equipped (Villeroy and Boch sanitary ware and L’ocitane toiletries). The room was cleaned daily and fresh towels supplied. Tea and coffee making facilities and a mini bar with 2 x free bottles of water supplied daily. Free safe and also bathrobes, slippers and hairdryer. We were allocated sun beds which were ours for the duration. Pool towels had a pocket at the end so these could be looped over the sunbed. with three outdoor pools (one adult only) there was plenty of choice. Only issue is that you cannot alternate say between the beach sunbeds or the pool as you have to use the ones allocated for your whole stay Also many are in shade in the afternoon. In room lighting and gadgets included a button to show on the panel outside of the room when to clean or do not disturb . All staff were very friendly and the hotel was kept clean and tidy. The TV had ITV and BBC1 channels (although they only worked intermittently) Check in time is 2pm and check out time is 12pm They came at night to turn down the beds and left two chocolates each night which were lovely. Cold flannels were bought round whilst we were lying on the sunbed as was fresh fruit. We were given vouchers for two free drinks and 20euros towards any spa treatment over 60 euros. There was pool aerobics and a quiz sheet bought round on the afternoon Occasional piano player on an evening. We discovered the 26 seat cinema and watched a film one evening with the entire cinema to ourselves. The dine around option was good - we ate at the Lemon Grass (Pan Asian) the Reef Steak House (you have to pay 8 euros extra for the steak), the Italian (lovely panna cotta) and the Kyklos Greek (food lovely but spoilt by not such good service at this one unfortunately) You book via the system in reception We were told this was 24 hours in advance but it took bookings for the whole week, Only issue was that it usually meant we had to eat early 6.30 or 7 as most of the other slots were already full. Typical cost of a soft drink was around 2.50 euros and a beer around 3.50 euros. The buffet in the hotel was good with a good choice at breakfast and evening meals. The staff even made special shaped (Mickey Mouse) pancakes for the children there. The swim up bar during the day did snacks which were OK. The not so good points - we paid extra for the swim up room - however the water had not been cleaned (litter such as carrier bags / old ball in it) and was pretty much in shade most of the day so very cold . Rather pointless to pay for this upgrade. They did send someone to clean it out (but wasn’t convinced it had the right chemicals in it so avoided) There were some great double loungers around the pool areas but these were reserved for the top suites only (most were empty the time we were there) The noise from the nearby club was so loud on our first two nights that we could not sleep.. We spoke to reception when we were still awake in the early hours and they said they would report this to the police. The noise was lower over the following nights. Out and about - Trip to Famagusta with Mr John was very thought provoking (20 euros each) He showed us his home which he had to flee from aged 15 and 42 years later he still cannot return. You can now pass through the border (with your passport) and visit the beach with the ghost town literally the backdrop. Meals out start from around 10 euros upwards and soft drinks and beers around 3 – 4 euros. The hotel is in a great position, literally central on the main strip with bus stops nearby. It costs 1.50 Euro each on the local bus (to Ayia Napa bus 102 /Paralimni etc) They are frequent and run into the early hours. A taxi is around 18 euros to Ayia Napa Water sports on the beach were good Paragliding between 25 – 40 euros. Jet skis from 50 euros. Etc All in all the weather was fantastic, the staff were lovely and the hotel was to a good standard. Just a few hiccups, which were eventually sorted. If we come again we would not be paying for the room upgradeMore
