Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa

The Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa counts a brilliant dining scene, a state-of-the-art spa and an attractive pool area among its best features.

This place has scored a plum position on one of the area’s best beaches. It means you’re only steps from the sand, and a short stroll takes you into Protaras, where you’ll find a cluster of tavernas and cafés.

The hotel is really stylish – think geometric marble pillars coupled with softly curved recesses. The pool scene’s pretty swish, too. You’ll find Balinese-style daybeds framing the water.

Just perfect for us!

We booked this hotel based on the reviews on this site and I must say they were pretty much correct. We last visited Protaras 5 years ago and there have been some changes and I must say this hotel is one of the greatest! There is also a boardwalk all along the beach which is great for walking along day or night although it does mean the beach has slightly shrunk! On our last visit we stayed at the sister hotel the Sunrise Beach and the Sunrise Pearl is far superior. There is a calm and quiet feel which we liked very much. We had a swim up junior suite on the ground floor, room 816, so we did not have to bother with lifts. The room was very elegant and comfortable with a view over the adult pool to the ocean. We had a lovely wooden decked patio with direct access to the pool but because it was in the shade it was too cold for swimming and really should have been heated. The food was really good and we always ate in the buffet restaurant. We also loved the patisserie for coffee which is located at the front of the hotel on the main road. I had a spa treatment which was reasonable and very professional. We stayed at the end of the season so I think the resort was fairly quiet which we liked. We had amazing weather too. The reception staff were lovely as was the bell man who was beside himself as he could not catch our luggage when we arrived! For some reason the coach stopped on the main road and it was hilarious as all our luggage was rushing down the drive which is on a slope and the poor man was on his own. Fortunately the coach came to the door on the way home and our bell man was there for us. We also had a lovely send off from Lovisa. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay so relaxing and enjoyable. We would go back in a heart beat.More

Just perfect.

What a fantastic hotel. This was our first visit to Cyprus and we loved every minute. This was in no small part thanks to the wonderful staff at the Sunrise Pearl - from the moment we arrived they made us feel welcome, and nothing was too much trouble. Particular thanks to Lovisa for running great aqua splash sessions, and for the quiz! We enjoyed our winners' cocktails! The hotel itself is beautiful - our room was clean and spacious, and we loved the sea view. The spa is also lovely - very relaxing! We were really impressed with the quality of the food at the hotel - especially at the Waterfall restaurant, Lemongrass and Marcello's. We booked through Thomson and went on the half day trip to Famagusta, which I would really recommend to those interested in learning a bit about Cyprus' recent history. The sunbed allocation system at the Sunrise Pearl is a great idea and works perfectly. The beach by the hotel is lovely, and there are plenty of activities to do if you want - we tried parasailing. We enjoyed walking along the beachside promenade in the evenings, too. Thank you Sunrise Pearl for a truly memorable holiday - we hope to visit again some day!More

Great staff, food and accommodation!!

We stayed here at the end of October 2015. We selected the hotel because of the positive reviews on this site and were slightly nervous that it couldn't live up to the expectations promised. I'm pleased to report that it did and would like to endorse all the positive feedback that has previously been made. We just wanted a week away in the sun and were pleasantly surprised by the temperature for the time of year. It was too hot to be out in the sun at midday. The adult pool is perfect and you just select your sunbeds and the umbrella is clipped with your room number to reserve them for the week. This system worked really well and takes the hassle out of being concerned if you will get a sunbed if you go for lunch etc. Considering the food in the main restaurant was buffet style, we were amazed at the quality. The Head chef and his team prepared some exceptional dishes. Although you can eat at other restaurants, we didn't feel the need due to the quality and variety. If we had stayed longer, we may have ventured elsewhere but for a week, each night we said we didn't want to miss out on what was being prepared in the main restaurant. Everything is overseen by a lovely man called George - a true professional. We opted for a junior suite and would recommend. We stayed in room 125 which was a good location with a nice sea view. Do to the position of the hotel the majority of balconies are in the shade . We were thinking of the junior suites with a swim up option but were pleased we didn't because they were in the shade too. Having said that, we met a few people who had them and they didn't seem to mind the shade. Protarus is a pleasant small resort but not somewhere i would normally rush back to as there are so many places to see in the world. However, I definitely would come back to this hotel as you are spoilt by the lovely staff and don't really need to go out of the hotel anyway. One of the few places on our list of Hotels that we would return to. I would just like to mention we booked via Thomsons. We hadn't booked a packaged holiday for years as we normally book everything direct ourselves. We were very impressed with the service and value and would use them again. The local rep Jack was very good. Finally, a big thank you to all the staff at the Hotel for helping us have a very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.More
