The Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa counts a brilliant dining scene, a state-of-the-art spa and an attractive pool area among its best features.
This place has scored a plum position on one of the area’s best beaches. It means you’re only steps from the sand, and a short stroll takes you into Protaras, where you’ll find a cluster of tavernas and cafés.
The hotel is really stylish – think geometric marble pillars coupled with softly curved recesses. The pool scene’s pretty swish, too. You’ll find Balinese-style daybeds framing the water.
We stayed here as an elderly couple for 2 weeks in September/October this year. A fabulous hotel, immaculately clean with friendly and obliging staff throughout. Excellent food with plenty to suit all tastes, great service from all the kitchen and serving staff well led by George, who was very much hands on. Special mention to the wonderful Maria and friendly Sakis for the poolside bar service. Although we don`t sit by bars (age thing!) the bar staff seemed friendly and efficient. We really couldn`t find fault with anything at the hotel (to be really picky-some of the pool towels need replacing). We have already booked to return next September!More

Was I dreaming?
Imagine a hotel where all the staff are friendly and welcome you, where you are not fighting for a sun bed every morning at 6am, where the food for breakfast and dinner is great and the chefs will prepare your meal to your liking and the restaurant manager greets you like a long lost friend. Now imagine that you are by the sea sipping a cocktail, given a cold flannel to cool yourself down and fresh fruit to nibble on, your beach towel is provided and changed every day. You phone reception with a query and they phone you back immediately, where every member of staff says good morning/evening and come round to ask if you need extra towels in your room in the evening, where you have a television with BBC1 and ITV, and a fantastic shower and a kettle and to top it all the safe is free! Well my dream became reality when I stayed at the Sunrise Pearl!More

Fantastic hotel yet again
We again stayed in the Sunrise Pearl for 2 weeks during September. This is a fantastic place with exceptionally friendly service from all the staff.
The location of the hotel within the Protaras strip is ideal.
The beach can get busy during peak periods but the hotel grounds are always relatively quiet as only guests of the hotel are allowed to use the grounds and bar.
The sunbed reservation system is a great idea as you reserve your beds for the duration of stay. There is also a choice of Adult Pool / Children's Pools / grassed or sandy areas.
Another great idea is the dine around option. We like to eat in different restaurants and this hotel gives you six to choose from. The hotel buffet restaurant 'Waterfall' was excellent and is a cut above. The seafood restaurant food was good but I thought wasn't worth the extra charges, particularily Lobster Thermador at 38 Euro's. The hotel only gives an allowance of 15 Euro's off each meal. Of the 4 restaurants outside the hotel we thought the Greek and American Steak were average compared to the excellent pan Asian 'Lemongrass' and Italian 'Marcellos.
A special thank you to Maria who spent all day walking around the sunbeds serving drinks & snacks with a smile and a chat.
This year we stayed in a partial Sea View room due to our late booking. The room itself was excellent again but we rarely used the balcony as it faced onto the neighbouring hotel. A full sea view room would definitely be my preference.More

What a fantastic relaxing week!!
We have just returned from a week at this hotel. We just wanted a bit of luxury and to relax for a week and we got just that! Every single member of staff was friendly and worked so hard. You have a gorgeous sea view while you sit round the pool, while you drink your cocktail at the pool bar, while you eat your lunch in the restaurant..... Bliss!!
Only a couple of minor points which did not affect our holiday in the slightest.
The air conditioning in our room was not very effective - glad we were not there in the heat of July. The buffet food was sometimes not as warm as it should be. Thomson's description of a partial sea view was a bit off - a partial sea view if you stood at the front of the balcony and looked round the corner!
Great, great hotel, Protaras probably not quite so great.
Thoroughly enjoyed our week :)More
Best Hotel in Town
I recently had the pleasure of staying a week at the Sunrise Pearl Hotel and Spa. I could not have made a better choice. The service was impeccable and the staff second to none. I have never seen such attention to detail among members of the cleaning and maintenance staff, Personnel at the reception desk went out of their way to accommodate us. The food and service in the on-site restaurants were first rate. We were sorry we had not opted for half or full board since we took most of our meals at the hotel itself. On the one occasion that we had dinner at one of the sister restaurants off site, we were disappointed with the food. The spa treatments were the icing on the cake,
Our room was lovely, the pools first rate and the beach most welcoming. The system of assigning lounge chairs for the duration of your stay was an excellent one. There was no jockeying for position when looking for a place to lounge for the day. The boardwalk between the hotel property and the public beach in front was a real bonus. It was the perfect spot for an early morning or evening walk.
On my next visit to Protaras, I am sure to stay at the Sunrise Pearl and Spa Hotel again.More
