Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa

The Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa counts a brilliant dining scene, a state-of-the-art spa and an attractive pool area among its best features.

This place has scored a plum position on one of the area’s best beaches. It means you’re only steps from the sand, and a short stroll takes you into Protaras, where you’ll find a cluster of tavernas and cafés.

The hotel is really stylish – think geometric marble pillars coupled with softly curved recesses. The pool scene’s pretty swish, too. You’ll find Balinese-style daybeds framing the water.

Out of this world!!

My wife & I stayed last week and although we had seen the previous reviews, we were still amazed at what we experienced at this hotel. The food was good, however my wife is a vegan so most of it was not suitable. This was picked up by the staff and on the 2nd day the head chef came to see us and arranged some special meals for her. The allocation of sunbeds was a first for us & avoided the hassle of the early morning race to get towels on sunbeds. We booked a spa visit and although we have been to spas before, this was a cut above anything we have seen before and the snow room & flotation pool were new experiences for us. It was also a pleasent surprise that we were not charged for any extras such as air con, use of safe, tv and wifi, all of which included with the room. Also worth mentioning that rooms were serviced every day and towels changed, there was also an evening visit at which towels could be changed again, beds turned down and chocolates left for us! Finally, probably the best part of this hotel are the staff, who are all pleasant and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. Special thanks to Maria and Christanoss working round the pool as well as all the reception staff. Hope to see you all soon!More

Sheffielder36,

Lovely hotel with very good staff

Stayed at this hotel for a week. We booked through a travel Republic and our room was a side sea view. Firstly it overlooked a hotel next door and the sea view was seen only if you got into the far left hand side of the balcony so a little disappointing. Nevertheless the hotel itself is beautifully designed and has a real feel of luxury about it, our room was lovely and large with a huge super king bed, and the bathroom had the benefit of L,occitaine products which I love so that really was lovely. Super staff who really were helpful and friendly and the pool areas were really good. Having your sunbeds allocated to you for the week was so civilised- no scrambling for beds or having to get up early to reserve one, a really great idea. The restaurant was good, lovely food, a good choice for breakfast and dinner. My only criticism of the Waterfall restaurant would be the pianist playing; I didn't enjoy a lot of the tunes he was bashing out, it was a bit jazzy and I thought he could have played some more mellow, appealing to all music but that may be my taste. The other thing that I did struggle with was the noise, people shouting late at night and doors slamming, and we were woken regularly in the early hours by inconsiderate guests. Although I did ask for a quiet room and I don't think we were given one as we were overlooking a side road and we could hear traffic etc. If you are used to this it would not be a problem, but we live in a quiet village so of course this was not what we usually hear!More

Beautiful hotel, fantastic staff

We booked this hotel because of the excellent Trip Advisor reviews and we were not disappointed - in fact it still exceeded all expectation. The hotel is the most attractive on the "strip" with beautiful big rooms with simple, neutral decor, enormous beds, brilliant showers etc, amazing sea and pool views - the junior suite worked brilliantly with our little girl and travel cot and bottle steriliser were provided free of charge. The staff from the porter to the receptionists, housekeeping to all of the waitresses and waiters were exceptional - they knew our names and went above and beyond in terms of professionalism, efficiency and frinedliness - they really thought of everything and wanted you to have an amazing time. The buffet restaurant for breakfast and dinner was lovely - sitting outside overlooking the pools and sea with delicious food and a great choice and the "wrap around" half board was a great idea - we didn't think much of the Reef american restaurant but the others were fantastic - great range of choice and delicious. Being on the beach with the long esplanade was also perfect for the buggy and walking our baby to sleep. It really did tick all the boxes and we wouldn't hesitate to go back. To be hyper-critical - the kids pool could have been heated as it was too cold for little ones and it would have been nice if there was a really shallow pool for tiny ones.More

Great holiday, great people & great food

Myself 22 and partner 24 stayed at the Sunrise Pearl from the 13th to the 20th of April 2016. We had a lovely time last week and will definitely be returning. Room- we stayed in a double sea view room. It had an amazing view, and was faultlessly clean. The shower gel and soaps etc were amazing quality and smelt great! A turn down service was provided every evening which was a really nice touch. The bed was really comfy and the shower was huge and powerful. All cleaners which we encountered were very friendly and a credit to the hotel. Also a note which might be useful plugs are 3 pinned same as the uk :)! Food- As mentioned on other reviews there are several restaurants to chose from. We paid for Half Board on our stay and we'd definitely do the same again. Breakfast was spot on, plenty of choice and the chefs were always on hand to cook anything you fancied. Dinner was equally as lovely in the main buffet restaurant. The food was delicious- only downside would possibly be pudding- not my cup of tea but that's personal preference. The only point I would make about dinner would be I think there could be a clearer structure I.e do you chose your seat or get seated by someone? We had a little bit of confusion one night which left us with a bit of a sour taste in our mouth as a table we had picked and were pulling out the chairs of then was given to another couple. However, we also tried the Fishbone (twice) Alex is a real credit to the Sunrise Pearl very attentive and couldn't do enough for us! The lemon grass was nice enough & the reef was pleasant food wasn't amazing a bit like weatherspoons. Drinks in the hotel are however on the pricey side €7odd for a cocktail adds up over a week! Team- The team at the Sunrise on the whole are amazing! Extremely polite and attentive. Maria at the pool bar was lovely, always had time for a chat. Reception team and porters work extremely hard! Especially the gentleman (so sorry I didn't get the name) who helped load luggage on the transfer on the last day he was so so helpful! Pool attendant was a bit slow and not particularly helpful although he was nice enough it seemed a bit of an international effort to help us. Pool- COLD! I only attempted the pool once as it was freezing but this didn't bother us. We were more interested in the sun! Also don't worry about which sun bed to pick! All get the sun but if you do need to change there is always the option! Beach was beautiful, shops were plentiful and prefect for what we needed. All in all a lovely week and can't wait to return. Thanks Sunrise Pearl you were a delight :)! More
