The Sunrise Pearl Hotel & Spa counts a brilliant dining scene, a state-of-the-art spa and an attractive pool area among its best features.
This place has scored a plum position on one of the area’s best beaches. It means you’re only steps from the sand, and a short stroll takes you into Protaras, where you’ll find a cluster of tavernas and cafés.
The hotel is really stylish – think geometric marble pillars coupled with softly curved recesses. And there's a glass lift, so you get sea views as you zip up to your room. The pool scene’s pretty swish, too. You’ll find Balinese-style daybeds framing the water.

Relaxing stay at the Sunrise Pearl
My partner and I have just returned from a very relaxing 10 night holiday at the Sunrise Pearl. We arranged a private taxi from the airport which reduced the transfer time substantially and when we arrived we were swiftly checked in and the friendly porter took our bags to our room. Although we missed dinner that evening, we were advised that we would be on full board package the following day, which was greatly appreciated. The room we were allocated, unfortunately, had only a limited sea view, despite paying extra for a sea view. However, this was rectified a couple of days later by the exceptionally helpful Vera, who upgraded us to a sea view suite. The views from our suite were spectacular and we enjoyed many an afternoon sat out on the balcony with a cold glass of beer. The dine around package that the Sunrise Pearl offers is also exceptionally good. As we prefer to eat local cuisine we especially enjoyed the Greek restaurant, Kyklos, (try the chicken and pork starter and the seabass, its divine!) and Fishbone as well as the buffet restaurant Mistral. Breakfasts were also impressive, in particular the omelettes! The evening entertainment was pretty low key but I did enjoy the music in Verano bar and the relaxed atmosphere in the Island bar. The only negative for us is that there isn’t a bar overlooking the beach to relax in during the evening. The hotel does tend to capitalise on “the strip” at the front of the hotel which is a shame as its not at all pretty to look at. All in all, a very chic and tasteful hotel with excellent staff. Special mention must go to Alexandra who took the time to chat to us every morning poolside and made us feel ever so welcome, she truly is a credit to your hotel. I would also like to single out Vera on reception for whom nothing was too much trouble. I would also like to mention George, the maitre d’hotel, who is so professional. It is the brilliant staff who really make this hotel so special. I have seldom come across such pleasant, helpful and cheerful people. One word of caution, if you’re susceptible to mosquito bites, please ensure that you take precautions. I was pretty much eaten alive during a couple of nights spent in Verano bar and had to cover my legs for the rest of the holiday as my bites turn into painful blisters. I know this isn’t the hotel’s fault and I’m probably in the minority but there are some nasty little flies around Protaras and they don’t seem to mind repellent! On the two occasions I was bitten in Verano bar I actually caught the buggers doing it. This resulted in 20 bites on one leg/foot. As for the area itself, Protaras really wasn’t our scene. If you want to experience a slice of authentic Cyprus, unfortunately this resort isn’t it. I agree with previous reviewers who have likened “the strip” to Blackpool. Too many British orientated tacky bars for our liking. If this hotel could be lifted and taken elsewhere then we would not hesitate to return. But all in all, a lovely hotel and a very relaxing experience. Thank you Sunrise Pearl!More
Amazing hotel and location
My boyfriend and I arrived at the hotel late at night and was advised that as we were staying half board and they had stopped serving food, that we would be entitled to lunch the next day which was nice. We were shown to our room by the friendly porter who took our bags and showed us around the room, how to work the safe, air con etc. You are allocated your own sunbed which is a great touch as you do not have to get up at the crack of dawn to fight for a sunbed. You are given clean beach towels every day. If you wish you can sit around the adults only pool. The beach is seconds away from the hotel which has gorgeous clear water and golden sand. Right outside the hotel are lots of different water sports which is run by 2 lovely brothers. The dine around option when half board means you have the choice to eat in around 6 different restaurants which are all gorgeous! You are entitled to a 3 course meal. (note that men must wear long trousers to eat in the hotel restaurant). Our stay was for 7 nights, on the 4th day we were asked to go to reception as they "had an offer for us". We went to reception wondering what this was going to be to only be told they were upgrading us to a junior suite with a private swim up pool! As you can imagine we were so happy! We were told that the porter would collect our bags and move us! The original room we had was a "side sea view room" which we could not fault. The view wasn't amazing as you were facing another hotel but the room was gorgeous and it wasn't such a big deal to us. We arrived in the suite and it was just amazing! We are not sure why we was chosen as we hadn't made any complaints but we were so grateful!! We also visited the hotel spa whilst we was there and definitely recommend! You get a 20 Euro voucher off upon arrival. The staff could not do enough for you! They were so friendly and made you feel so welcome. The hotel is on the strip were there are plenty of restaurants and bars. We recommend that you go to the sister hotel, the sunrise beach to sit in their bar at sunset as there is an amazing view of the sea up there. The only problem my boyfriend and I have had were terrible mosquito bites. That is obviously nothing to do with the hotel just that we had never been bitten before so had not used any repellent so defiantly make sure you take mosquito repellent. Apparently everyone suffered so next time we will be stocking up. We will most defiantly be returning in the near future and recommending this hotel to family and friends. More
First class hotel and service
We have just returned from a week's holiday at the Sunrise Pearl for the 2nd year running and it is one of the best hotels I have found in all my years of travelling. All the staff are so warm, welcoming and helpful and the service is outstanding with every detail thought of to make your holiday relaxing and memorable. The location is perfect-the hotel is on the sea front with a white sandy beach and crystal blue sea and with restaurants, cafes and shops all just a short stroll away. We will definitely be returning again next year! A big thank you to all the management and staff who made our holiday so perfect! More

Absolutely stunning hotel, incredible service and a beautiful location!!!
My boyfriend and I spent a week at Sunrise Pearl for my 25th birthday, I had an absolutely amazing time!! The hotel was immaculate, its light and airy with a huge marble reception and glass elevator that looks out onto the grounds and the ocean. The staff were wonderful, they were so friendly and helpful. On arrival we were given fresh orange juice which was a lovely touch after a long journey. A staff member kindly helped us with our bags. For the whole of our stay we felt like we were being really looked after with little chocolates in the evenings and a lovely birthday surprise. The room was huge with a balcony that looked out on to the sea . The beach is just steps away from the hotel grounds and the sea is crystal clear. I'd really recommend the full spa treatment, the floatation pool is incredible. Also the 90minute massage is out this world. Definitely would recommend!!!!!!More
