The Sunrise Beach Hotel’s best bits include an on-the-beach setting and a handy sunbed allocation system.
Thanks to its beachfront position, you can flip-flop between the hotel’s pool and the sea in a few steps. Protaras’ main strip isn’t much further away, where you’ll find a clutch of authentic tavernas.
One of the hotel’s big draws is its dine-around programme. It means you can have dinner in a choice of restaurants in the area, which serve the likes of American, Asian, Italian and Greek cuisine.
You'll find the restaurant in front of the hotel where you'll come across a large terrace that you can dine on. The kitchen is open for you to see meals being freshly made. Expect authentic recipes such as pastas, risotto, pizzas being made in the wood fire oven and a fine wine list. You'll need to book a table in advance here, bookings are limited to one reservation per week. Highchairs are available.
These superior junior suites offer panoramic views of the sea through large frameless windows and 2 balconies. They sleep up to 3 people with a king-size bed and an additional bed in the bedroom. And you'll also find air-conditioning to keep your room cool - plus bathrobes and slippers.
These bright, modern twin rooms provide you with plenty of space and natural light. They come with a balcony for that bit of fresh air. And they have an extra bed if you need space for 3 people. Plus you'll also find air-conditioning to keep your room cool.

Stayed here with my wife and 4 month old baby in Early May 2015.
First impressions were not good due to check in being a shambles, but once we got to our room things began to improve. The room was fairly spacious and the requested cot and baby bottle steriliser were ready and waiting, we also had a lovely sea view. Cleanliness was to a high standard.
Breakfast was a highlight, with an unbelievable choice of food from traditional Greek via continental to full English breakfast and everything in between. Getting a table was easy and even though the waiters were very busy they were always polite and helpful.
Evening meals were either buffet or at al la carte restaurants based at the 3 Sunrise hotels in Protaras. Booking are made using a computer in reception and the process was easy and hassle free. As long as you are flexible with your meal times. All the meals we had were to a good standard, and even though we had a young baby in tow we were always made to feel welcome.
A lot as been said in other reviews about the noise from the strip. I agree that it could be heard from our room but this was out of the hotels control so I can't criticise the hotel for it.
Communal area were again very tidy, and well presented. The Hotel entertainment was so so but watchable. Drinks were expensive in the hotel but bars on the strip are much cheaper at around â¬2-3 a pint for locally brewed beer.
Overall a good hotel, certainly one of the better hotels in Protaras and one that I would visit again.More
Stayed at this hotel again for the forth time now, all the staff was still all very friendly and helpful, especially the bar manager and staff, they still do the allocated sun beds which I wish more hotels would do, the hotel itself was still kept very clean, I believe they are going to renovate the hotel soon for next year. The location of the hotel is also very good for the bars and the beach. Already booked again for 2016 and looking forward to it.More
excellent hotel with excellent staff and service
If you're looking for a good friendly hotel in Protaras... Then look no further..Its set on the beach and also has great pools one of which is for toddlers another has a swim up pool bar. . Another thing I should mention are the allocated sun beds...which save so much trouble..no more running to get a bed in the morning, your bed is yours for your entire stay..
The hotel is situated off the main strip, so all the shops, bars and restaurants are all within easy walking distance...There are plenty of really good restaurants about and if you use the hotels dine around option you'll find some of them very good value...If you don't feel like going out then the Hotels own bars and restaurants will keep you happy, I really enjoyed my stay and have now booked already to return next year.More
Superb Hotel and Fantastic Food!
We visited here the last week in October as a family holiday. The Hotel is situated in a very convenient and beautiful Beach Location, Staff are extremely polite and helpful.
There is an amazing choice of well prepared food in the restaurant lead by a very competent Head Chef Ajith Perera. The soups are delicious! There are plenty of sunbeds and parasols which are allocated on arrival but you can change to a different area if you like. The Hotel is spotlessly clean and I would certainly recommend it.More
Excellent hotel and great staff
We stayed at this fantastic hotel at the beginning of October and cannot praise it highly enough. Location is ideal for the bars and restaurants of Protaras and direct access to the sandy beach. The staff are brilliant as we found out when my husband was taken ill during our stay and spent some time in hospital. Their help and kindness was much appreciated during this time, too many to mention but special thanks to Maria and Justine. Breakfast was superb plenty of choice and very good quality, we cannot comment on the food in the evening as we were on B&B.
We hope to visit again and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
Finally, we would totally agree with all the positive comments in the other reviews as the hotel and staff exceeded our expectations.More
