The Sunrise Beach Hotel’s best bits include an on-the-beach setting and a handy sunbed allocation system.
Thanks to its beachfront position, you can flip-flop between the hotel’s pool and the sea in a few steps. Protaras’ main strip isn’t much further away, where you’ll find a clutch of authentic tavernas.
One of the hotel’s big draws is its dine-around programme. It means you can have dinner in a choice of restaurants in the area, which serve the likes of American, Asian, Italian and Greek cuisine.

Marcello's Italian restaurant*
You'll find the restaurant in front of the hotel where you'll come across a large terrace that you can dine on. The kitchen is open for you to see meals being freshly made. Expect authentic recipes such as pastas, risotto, pizzas being made in the wood fire oven and a fine wine list. You'll need to book a table in advance here, bookings are limited to one reservation per week. Highchairs are available.
The lagoon like pool shines crystal clear waters because of the cloudless blue sky. You'll get views of the beach and there are sunbeds with parasols on the terrace.
Othello lounge bar*
A big must while staying in the hotel is to visit this bar. It's where the night comes alive. The entertainment in the evening is live singing acts, live instrument acts, dance shows and magic.

We are coming to the end of our 10 day holiday & I cannot find a fault anywhere! The hotel has been perfect from the front to the back! Sunbed allocation was perfect! Right next to the pool so our little boy can get in & out as he pleases as we are right here too watch. The rooms are lovely and spacious cleaned daily with fresh towels provided everyday. A very family friendly hotel. Perfect location right on the beach & some great bars and restaurants to the front. Love the dine around half board basis as then you have variety of different restaurants defo book in early though as they do get busy! All in all a fantastic family holiday! Will defo be back next year!! More
Second Visit meets Expectations
We returned to this hotel (25th July to 6th August 2017) for a second time, the last being 4 / 5 years ago, we had high hopes from the last visit and I can say that we have definitely not been disappointed. The hotel has recently been refurbished, with an excellent addition of an Adults only pool, which was fabulous. A quiet area with a bar, run by a very efficient guy called Lefteris. After only one day he had your order and room number memorised, and even when busy, did not let the standards of food or drink go down. All staff were very polite, always said hello and very efficient, nothing was too much trouble for them. The new restaurants owned by the hotel - Lemon Grass, Baserio and the Italian are all superb, possibly the Italian being the top one for me. Will definitely be returning to this hotel.More
Excellent hotel shame about the allocated sunbed service
We are currently on our 5th day of our 7 day holiday. The only holiday we have a year. On arrival we were greeted with a friendly welcome. Rooms are lovely cleaned each day and new towels when required great! The second day of our holiday, we arrive on Wednesday 2nd August, so the Thursday morning, we were allocated our sun bed for the week. Don't get me wrong these beds are fine right on the beach overlooking the see. We have travelled a family of three, with our son being 8 years old. Like any 8 year old all he wants to do is be in the pool. Fine he is a very strong swimmer, but as parents you always want to make sure that he isn't causing havoc and that he doesn't get himself into any danger. We asked if we could change the beds as there were not the greatest and in complete shade by 1pm. The reply was we are full Thursday and Friday come back Saturday to see if there are any free. I have asked each day to change our bed, to the reply of we are full. I totally understand that everyone wants a bed by the pool or close enough, but I think people with children should get priority. We have come down this morning to ask again about changing our beds, when a lot of people went home yesterday to be told everyone who has come yesterday has been allocated beds by the pool. As you can imagine my partner and I were not best pleased. The organisation of the allocated sunbed isn't the greatest and the guests should be allocated on children nearest to the pool, so that parents can keep an eye on them. I am also 24 weeks pregnant so being next to the pool would have been ideal for me to dip my feet into when I am getting too hot. I am never one to complain and I feel like one of those moaning British do gooders, but With reading all the review before hand, I couldn't see many of them with children on. We stayed at the brilliant apartments 2 years ago, which is part of this sunrise group, and as much as I was looking forward to coming to this hotel I think the sunbed allocation needs to be organised better. Such a shame as we have had a great holiday other wise. We will be looking to go back the brilliant apartments on our next trip. Please sort the sunbeds out sunrise. Your customer service regarding this wasn't the greatest. 😩More
Lovely Hotel , well situated
We spent a week here on bed and breakfast basis , we decided on B&B as we have been to this area several times and we knew that there are lots of places to eat very close by as the hotel is in a good central location but not too noisy. The rooms are spacious and clean with a lovely walk in shower. The breakfast was good with all the usual things on offer. The staff were polite and helpful. We were concerned about the sunbed allocation , but this turned out to be OK and a good idea as we had a lovely spot , and it means you don't have to be up with the sun to reserve a place. We used the adults only pool and its swim up bar as well as the beach bar on the grassy area all drinks were reasonably priced , but there were a kids pool and a family pool close by too as well as the sea and a lovely stretch of beach yards from the hotel. We really enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend and return here.More
