The Sunrise Beach Hotel’s best bits include an on-the-beach setting and a handy sunbed allocation system.
Thanks to its beachfront position, you can flip-flop between the hotel’s pool and the sea in a few steps. Protaras’ main strip isn’t much further away, where you’ll find a clutch of authentic tavernas.
One of the hotel’s big draws is its dine-around programme. It means you can have dinner in a choice of restaurants in the area, which serve the likes of American, Asian, Italian and Greek cuisine.

Marcello's Italian restaurant*
You'll find the restaurant in front of the hotel where you'll come across a large terrace that you can dine on. The kitchen is open for you to see meals being freshly made. Expect authentic recipes such as pastas, risotto, pizzas being made in the wood fire oven and a fine wine list. You'll need to book a table in advance here, bookings are limited to one reservation per week. Highchairs are available.
The lagoon like pool shines crystal clear waters because of the cloudless blue sky. You'll get views of the beach and there are sunbeds with parasols on the terrace.
Othello lounge bar*
A big must while staying in the hotel is to visit this bar. It's where the night comes alive. The entertainment in the evening is live singing acts, live instrument acts, dance shows and magic.

Just returned from this hotel where we stayed for one week bed and breakfast. We booked a sea view room. The room was a good size and had tea/coffee/hairdryer/ mini bar. Good maid service daily and towel change if required. There was plenty of choice as breakfast. Can't agree with comments about choice. There was more than adequate choice of hot and cold foods. Anything from croissants to porridge and plenty in between! The service at breakfast was efficient in that even when the restaurant was busy (9am) there was always an available table already set and we were served promptly with coffee on sitting down. I think the allocation of sun beds is a brilliant idea. Saw comments on here to the contrary ( but you can't please all the people.....) The system is fair and the staff are very accommodating to your requirements. I think other hotels would do well with this idea 👌. We didn't eat in any of the restaurants. Although, we had pre dinner drinks a few evenings before venturing out and the setting alone for this was beautiful. All staff were polite and courteous. In particular the bar man at the adult pool (Lefteras) was especially helpful and courteous. The hotel as commented on here is well situated on the beech front and central to the resort. I would definitely recommend this hotel. Well done to the management and to the hard working team especially Lefteras.More
Spent 11 nights here and had no negatives at all. Super clean, great staff, everyone extremely helpful when needed and would not hesitate in visiting again. Thank you all the staff. Close to restaurants and nightlife.More
Sunbed allocation didn't work for us!
This hotel is in a brilliant location, strip one side and beach the other. I found the room lovely and the breakfast was good (although water and coffee were always luke warm). The sunbed allocation didn't work for us. For one we were travelling with another couple and couldn't get 4 sun beds together. For two the sunbeds we got didn't get the sun until 1pm. They were on the grass in shade. It might stop the towel parade every morning but it causes a different kind of stress! People queuing at the desk waiting to swap their sunbeds daily ! Putting your name down for sunbeds as people leave. It's all too much and half the sunbeds never had anyone on them anyway! We are out and about people so only used ours a couple of hours a day on a couple of days (good job as no sun on them in the morning !). But due to not having sunbeds together we spent most our days on the beach. Which to be honest was annoying as I do like to swim in a pool ! I have been to Cyprus many times beginning of may and there really is no need to allocate sunbeds this time of the year . I've never had a problem getting one at other places. But on the other hand I can see in the height of summer it could be beneficial. So I'm 50/50 torn whether the system works. But it didn't work for us. I wouldn't return to this hotel because of the sunbed situation. More
A Quality Hotel in a Excellent Resort
We have recently returned from the Sunrise Beach and can only have positive things to say about the place. The hotel has gone through some changes and we experienced a few teething problems such as no water at all one night so only my partner could have a shower I had to use half the water in the mini bar to wash but the problem was resolved the next day. We stayed in room(145) - (sea room view) overlooking the sea which was perfect and the rooms have been updated. The bathrooms are excellent and have good pressure for a nice shower. The safe in the cupboard could be lowered as unless your 7ft tall you can't find what you need! We had a sun bed allocated next to the adults pool which is a great move by the hotel as if you want to be away from the hustle of the main pool and kids then it's the prefect spot to relax. The resort is excellent and we stayed B&B as we could eat at new places every night. Finally a mention to the excellent pool attendant Lefticus who was great throughout our stay and we would stay again. Finally we spoke to a few couples who were staying next door at the Sunrise Pearl and stated they preferred the Sunrise Beach because of its down to earth approach and excellent customer service.More

'A dream come true'
We stayed at this beautiful hotel in may, it was my partners 50th birthday surprise! Our four friends accompanied us , one couple had never been to cyprus, the rest of us hadn't stayed in protaras before.Where do I begin? Everything was perfect, from the the reception staff to our lovely spotless modern rooms! Cleaned daily , nothing and I mean nothing is too much trouble for the amazing cypriot people. All requests are met with a smile, humour and a sincere desire to accommodate😁.We met other guests who return year after year sometimes twice yearly and we will definitely be joining them, in fact we are all returning next may to celebrate my 'honeymoon ' . We will never top the magical holiday that we experienced this time, but hope to equal it next may . The breakfast was superb, everything from cereal to full english, freshly made omletes, delicious cakes , pastries all served hot, and then you could sit on the terrace outside looking out to the stunning colours of the sea, it just doesnt get better than that!! The chef made a cake for my partner brought to him at the beakfast table, it made his day! The hotel is perfectly placed bang in the middle of the protaras strip, with so many lovely bars and restaurants to choose from, we can highly recommend erato's oppposite the junction of our hotel , and molti's both excellent food, and a warm welcome from both😊 Reef bar in the hotel serve the best barbecue ribs you've ever tasted👌 Thank you to all the wonderful 'friends' we had the pleasure to meet at the sunrise beach, we cant wait to return next may.More
