This hotel prides itself on its home-cooking and peaceful pool scene. And the beach is only a minute away.
Run by two brothers, this traditional hotel scores highly on TripAdvisor for its cosy rooms, good home-cooking, and friendly staff. Location-wise, it’s just steps from a sandy beach and the local shops.
The restaurant serves local and international dishes in a leafy open-air courtyard, and puts on regular barbecues and other themed nights. There’s a bar indoors, too. As for sport, there’s tennis in the gardens.

Hit and miss for us unfortunately
We had a really mixed experience when we visited Anais Bay Hotel and unfortunately we didn't find it very relaxing. Before we left, I'd asked if it was possible to get the top room for views and some bubbly on arrival to surprise my husband, as he'd had such a stressful time at work. I was told this was no problem but we didn't get the top room (apparently there isn't one so I'm not too sure why I was told it was ok! Their website did say they had top rooms). Also, the bubbly wasn't a bubbly but a local white wine, which was ok but nothing special. It was quite an expensive surprise for what you got! Some of the staff were lovely but I did find one or two of the waiting staff rude. The food was a bit of a disappointment too, boring (very samey) and not tasting fresh. We have been in Cyprus many times before so this was a shame because the local food is beautiful. I would recommend eating out, which we ended up doing a lot, even though we were half board. Perhaps this was a one-off as some people seem to have had a good experience at the hotel but this, and the noise by the pool, in the bar, etc., did put us off. I guess we were looking for somewhere quiet to relax and maybe this isn't for everyone. We ended up using the pool on the other side of the road and going to the beach a lot.More

Great small and friendly Hotel, staff and food.
This is a little gem of a Hotel within Pernera area of Cyprus, it's an original small and friendly Hotel that certainly lives up to that description. It's a pity having also been to Paphos area recently that most of the popular tourist resorts in Cyprus are becoming grossly overdeveloped, detracting from the authenticity of Cypriot holidays yet......... this well run family hotel continues to break the mould, it was just to our taste. The friendly staff are all characters that added to the joy of staying here and getting to know them personally. Pool area is lovely to relax by with just about the right number of spaces available on a good day. (there is a very nice friendly pool bar directly opposite which also welcomes non residents, and also met the friendly welcoming criteria with excellent food and drink choices and prices ). There are three floors to this Hotel with two lifts available. We were is an excellent, smallish upgrade room on 2nd floor with a partial sea view and balcony that got the sun am only. The bathrooms had recently been upgraded with new showers and nice new bedroom furniture. These rooms were very pleasant indeed for a 3 star rated hotel. The buffet style breakfasts had plenty of cooked and uncooked choices meeting the needs of everyone. We had some evening meals which were also good and very good value for money, although we preferred to eat out and found some local standard traditional eateries really close by. Pernera is almost ajoined to Protaras now yet the 4-5km boardwalk along the coast is an excellent diversion from sitting at the pool sometimes. The local Kalamies beach is excellent and only 5mins stroll away from the hotel. This was a great value hotel and met our needs in every way. I'd much rather stay here as in a bigger hotel nearby as it had excellent staff and a very homely feel. You would be pleased with a stay here and I can understand why many of the guests return again and again. Recommended Highly thanks to all the wonderful staff. YAMMAS !More
