Myself and my wife have just returned from Cyprus where we stayed at the Nissi Beach Resort. We were married on the 11th September 2014 in the Nissi Beach Resort gardens, and wow, i can honestly say the day went like a fairy tale wedding, the staff and all the wedding co ordinators were fantastic and very professional, Marios the hotel manager was very kind and helped us choose all the things we needed to make the wedding special, so thank you very much Marios, our day was 100% perfect. The hotel was spotless and all the waiters / Waiteresses are very courteous and professional. Anyone thinking of getting married abroad, this is the hotel to do it in, the food was excellent, as was the entertainment, even if you are thinking of a holiday, Nissi Beach resort is the place to do it, again a BIG thank you to Marios and ALL involved in our perfect wedding THANK YOU Jerry & Linday (Septerber 2014)More

Holiday & Wedding... Great place.. Other things not so good

We stayed here from the 27th august to 10 September for our wedding/honeymoon. All of our friends and family stayed at the sister hotel Nissi Park Hotel, which is lovely. The hotel was lovely no complaints, we were half-board they food was buffet style but there was different themed nights, the food was great tasty and lots of variety but it got slightly boring to the end of our holiday. The pool was lovely, lots of sunbeds always available and the snack bar done lovely food, and really nice smoothies. After reading reviews on the wedding team more so Marios, I had high expectations from him as of previous reviews I read, I was disappointed. I must say Tassos was amazing and made our wedding very special. As well as our wedding planner Orla via Thomson. I’m not too sure what it was, we had our wedding meeting it lasted for about 5minutes, he wasn’t that interested at all, and we didn’t really feel that welcomed, all the meeting involved was us paying for champagne for our toast, he didn’t explain anything, maybe it was the fact we wasn’t having our meal at the hotel and we booked it at another restaurant at the harbour (which I’m glad we did) and they wasn’t getting a lot of money from us I don’t know. We didn’t see him once at our wedding, and when we did in the evening, he didn’t say a word of congratulations! He didn’t even acknowledge me or my husband after the wedding, not even a hello or how the wedding go did. NOTHING. (we were still at the hotel for 7 days after our wedding date) We spoke to our wedding planner who was amazing, we told the situation she was shocked, and she had a word with Marios, that day we went back tour room to flowers, fruit and red wine, and a WRITTEN MESSAGE on the table congratulating us, and telling us to pop by to have a drink with him – he surely must of realised how he has treated us and felt bad. But Still he didn’t say one word to us at all for the rest of our holiday didn’t even acknowledge us. All in all the hotel was lovely, food is nice, good location. Would I come back? Probably not.More

2nd time and will come back

We had beautiful stay in newly renovated beach villas. The renovation was performed with taste and style. It is hard to find such comfort in first line on such nice beach. It was our 2nd time and I have to say that this is the hotel where the quality of your stay depends on the category of the room you choose. But so does the price. Beach - white sand and shallow water. Great for kids, but could be overcrowded. Food - buffet is rather correct if you consider the price of beach villas but is excellent if you consider the price of the room with no see view. Only the wine could be better. Waiters are very friendly and pleasant. My greetings to Giorgios. Animators were cool but the kids club shall have more shadow and could use some renovations works. All in all great experience. The only problem especially if you stay in beach villas are the weddings or rather wedding parties if they take play in beach bar or beach restaurant. Music gets sometime so laud that you cant stay on your terrace. During our 9 days stay it happened twice so we could live with it but shall it happen but shall it happen more often... Anyway if you travel with family this is the place to stay in Aya NapaMore

Fantasic wedding, holiday and honeymoon!

I stayed here for 3 weeks from the 20th August to the 10th September for our holiday/wedding/honeymoon. So sad to be home! Check in was very prompt where we were served a cold orange juice and cold flannel where I was given my appointment with Marios for the following day. The porter took us to our room - which was room 309 - a sea view room. The view was breathtaking - I would definitely recommend booking one of these rooms. A bottle of red wine and fruit was left on the table which I thought was a nice touch. We dumped our bags and headed down Nissi Avenue for a couple of hours and when we returned there was a bottle of champagne on ice and more fruit which we quickly drank out on our balcony taking in the view! The Wedding We had our meeting with Marios the following day to go through the wedding day where he talked us through the order of the day and what would happen. Marios sorted the drinks, flowers and cake we wanted for the day. I found Marios to be very friendly and helpful and I think people have to understand he will see many couples each day and it doesn't look like he ever takes a break! Our wedding morning was quite relaxed where Caroline came looking for me as she'd been trying to ring to ensure I was happy with everything and if I had any questions. I gave my ceremony music to Frank who I thought was very friendly. My bridesmaids and I got ready in my parent's bungalow (their bungalow was number 40 which was set back from the beach front, but I think I prefered this as it seemed less invasive and you couldn't have people looking in) as we decided to do our own makeup and hair. We ordered a couple of salads and sparkling wine which was delivered promptly. Tasos and my Dad came to collect us at 3.30 where I was given my flowers in reception, I went for pink, orange and yellow gerberas and they looked lovely! The gazebo was set up lovely and the ceremony was very quick but at the same time lovely - who wants to sit through a long service?! We were very lucky to be the only wedding that day so the photographer could take her time doing the photographs in the grounds after and we had more time for our marryoke which was so much fun! We had canapes and sparkling wine at the Bacchaus bar where Tasos announced us. It was a lovely setting with background music and tables set out for all the guests. We went for the one tier wedding cake through the hotel and it was the best cake I have ever tasted! Marios came and congratulated us both and presented us with a wedding card and a little charm with a card explaining which each one meant. I thought this was a really nice touch! We had our reception at the Rondavel which was set out beautifully - there were 35 of us and I went for the U-shaped table plan which I felt worked really well. Our speeches lasted around an hour which Tasos said was unusual but I think everyone enjoyed our stories. We had the Med buffet which was gorgeous - just wish I could have eaten more. I think there was loads left over at the end. DJ Lee was fantastic, he played music from all decades and we were up on the dancefloor all night. I think I was too busy having a good time as my Mum mentioned Marios had come down to ensure everything was going ok and keeping an eye on the open bar my parents put on! I honestly couldn't have asked for a better wedding day, although I am being biased it is definitely the best wedding I have ever been to! You can see how hard working Marios, Caroline and Tasos are. They deserve a medal! The morning after the wedding a champagne breakfast was delivered to our room which we ate out on the balcony and put the champagne in the fridge as it seemed wrong to be drinking so early in the day! We were also given a complimentary 3 course meal with champagne for a night of our choice after the wedding. They set up a table in the corner outside in the Ambrosia restaurant where the champagne was already waiting, a candle lit and a rose on the table. I have to say it was the nicest meal I had all holiday and we ate out a lot. We had a chicken and cheese savoury crepe, steak with bearnaise sauce and a giant profiterole for desert. The Hotel The hotel lobby was nice and cool if you wanted a break from the heat but I couldn't get over how many people were sat in there on their phones using the internet, you're on holiday! The hotel grounds are amazing, there always seemed to be a gardener on site maintaining the grounds. It was only a week and a half into the holiday that I realised they sold magazines and newspapers! The Pool For a hotel which was in full capacity, there were always sunloungers available. The pool was a good size and every day water aerobics was on at 12 o'clock. One day a russian family had their baby in the babypool with no nappy on and lets just say they left a bit of a surprise. The maintenance men came and quarantined the pool straight away and cleaned up. The snacks at the poolside were reasonably priced - about 10 euros for a Hallomi cheese salad which was lovely. I would like to give a special mention to the young girl who worked at the pool bar, service was always with a smile and always asked how you were. The other pool workers I thought, were quite stand offish. The man who worked on the towel exchange was lovely! Everytime you'd go past he would always see hello, kalimara, how are you! On the day we were going he seemed genuinely disappointed we were going home! The Bacchaus Bar As there was quite a large party of us this would be the meeting point every night where we would have a couple of drinks. The cocktails were very nice however a little pricey at 6.50 euros each but I suppose you are on your holiday. I am rubbish at names but I would like to give a special mention to the blond Lithuanian girl, the dark haired Bulgarian woman and Andreas. What nice bar staff they were and they are a credit to the hotel! The entertainment was decent aswell, there were different shows on every night. The Room As I mentioned before I would recommend a sea view room, it was great sitting out on the balcony as the sun went down. We booked a twin bed room as it was cheaper but we were given a double bed (not beds pushed together) and it was huge!! The only slight negative is I felt the aircon wasn't as cold as we needed it to be. Our cleaner was fantastic, always smiling and she made sure she said goodbye when we were going. I think the cleaners are a credit to the hotel, they looked like they never stopped! It was also my birthday whilst I was away and unknown to me my husband had asked at reception if they could sorted me out a birthday cake. On my birthday morning, one of the staff came up with a cake for me with candles lit where I made him stay there until I got a picture, the poor guy! They didn't even charge us for it! Overall this hotel is amazing, I will definitely come back, it is no wonder they have so many repeating guests! I think it is the staff that keep the hotel going, they all do a fantastic job!More

Excellent for our wedding and honeymoon!

We definitely chose the right hotel to host our wedding in August 2014. The gardens are amazing, and Nissi Beach is right on the doorstep. All of the staff were extremely friendly, especially the "Towel change" guy on the way down to the beach, and Andreas from the Ambrosia restaurant. We booked our wedding through Thomsons, and everything went very smoothly, with no stresses in ordering specific bits for the wedding thanks to the Thomsons wedding advisors and Marios the Weddings Manager. The main Ayia Napa strip is within walking distance, and the water park is only a 5 minute drive away. The best part about the holiday was relaxing on Nissi Beach, although we did have to pay 5 euro's per day to use the sunbeds and a parasol which we assumed were free if we were guests at the hotel. The part of Nissi Beach which is within the Nissi Beach Resort is a lot quieter than the main "party" part of Nissi Beach, so we didn't mind paying to use the sunbeds. Also look out for the "Loverly Juice" guy which walks along Nissi Beach selling his "Loverly Juice", which is apparently "very cold and very nice" although we didn't buy any. Overall the holiday at Nissi Beach resort was excellent, and we would return again. Thanks for a great holiday and wedding!More
