Beautiful hotel, poor management
Was at this exceptionally clean hotel in August as a party of 8 including my 1 year old granddaughter. The hotel is spotless, the food is good, not the best I've had but good. Location is fantastic directly on beautiful nissi beach. Daytime entertainment team were lovely, evening entertainment was not so good!! A small glass of lime and lemonade at the pool bar was e3.50!!!! Ridiculous!!!! Buy your drinks at the supermarket across the road!!!! Now the not so good - my granddaughter contracted hand, foot and mouth disease on our 4th day from more than likely the pool area!! Having the decency to inform the hotel of this and agreeing to not using kids clubs or pool areas we were treated in the most unacceptable manner by the hotel manager. Firstly he wanted us to feed the baby in the room for the next 7 days of our holiday which as a family of 8 was not going to happen, but most importantly second he very rudely approached my husband at dinner (which we had to eat in the corners of the restaurant away from other guests) making it quite clear that we were not to tell other holidaymakers of our granddaughters virus as to not cause panic in the hotel. Highly unacceptable behaviour in any case especially having payed over the top for what this hotel had to offer. No apology, no concern for the baby in the following days, disgusting!!!!! This hotel caters for and cares more for its constant weddings. Nice for couples, not for families!!!!! Disappointing.More
Wonderfull hotel for family wedding
Stayed for a week at the beginning of August for our Son and Daughter in Law’s wedding and what a wonderful hotel and location they chose for their wedding. The hotel and it’s location we could not fault in any way whatsoever, and the wedding ceremony and arrangements handled by Thomas Cook were all provided to a very high standard resulting in a wonderful memorable and happy day for us all. The gazebo setting for the wedding overlooking the sea is beautiful and the immaculate gardens are a lovely setting for the photographs after the ceremony. The best meal of the holiday was without doubt the wedding reception meal at the hotel. The menu was tailored to suit varying dietary requirements and it was served and presented in an exceptional manner. The weather was very hot throughout our week and on arrival at the hotel we received a friendly greeting with refreshing hand towels and fruit juice. We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and the buffet at breakfast was very good with plenty of variety and choices to suit all tastes. We paid for a sea view room rather than a standard garden room and were glad we did as the view was spectacular. The room had good air-conditioning (necessary in the heat we experienced) and a mini fridge useful for keeping drinks cool. During our stay it was my husbands Birthday and the hotel sent a bottle of bubbly to our room which was a really nice gesture. Other family members in our party paid for a beach bungalow and we wouldn’t hesitate to book one of these rooms on a return visit to Nissi Beach. The reason for this is because each bungalow has its own terrace with table, chairs and sun beds and they look out over the beautiful beach and sea. The pool and pool bar are lovely and there was no issue even in August with having to reserve sunbeds with towels, sufficient beds for everyone. The swimming pool is one of the nicest pools I have swam in as the temperature was excellent, like getting in a bath! The excellent service of beach towel exchange each day (and the friendly helpful man whose job this was, George I think) was a nice touch by the hotel. There are some nice bars and restaurants about five minutes walk from the hotel and we enjoyed some nice evening meals (The Orange Grove and Ioassys Bar). Definitely would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and the Thomas Cook wedding team. Thank you!More
Another fab holiday
3 more days to go before we have to leave this fabulous hotel once again. We have watched 6 weddings again this year and as this is our 17th visit in 7 years I feel that we are established at giving this great hotel the fantastic review it deserves. The garden room's were second to none again, as was the food and all the services the hotel offers. Excellent once again Nissi Beach and congratulations to all staff, management across the board for another great holiday, thank you all and hopefully see you next year xx❤️ this place xMore
