Holiday & Wedding... Great place.. Other things not so good

We stayed here from the 27th august to 10 September for our wedding/honeymoon. All of our friends and family stayed at the sister hotel Nissi Park Hotel, which is lovely. The hotel was lovely no complaints, we were half-board they food was buffet style but there was different themed nights, the food was great tasty and lots of variety but it got slightly boring to the end of our holiday. The pool was lovely, lots of sunbeds always available and the snack bar done lovely food, and really nice smoothies. After reading reviews on the wedding team more so Marios, I had high expectations from him as of previous reviews I read, I was disappointed. I must say Tassos was amazing and made our wedding very special. As well as our wedding planner Orla via Thomson. I’m not too sure what it was, we had our wedding meeting it lasted for about 5minutes, he wasn’t that interested at all, and we didn’t really feel that welcomed, all the meeting involved was us paying for champagne for our toast, he didn’t explain anything, maybe it was the fact we wasn’t having our meal at the hotel and we booked it at another restaurant at the harbour (which I’m glad we did) and they wasn’t getting a lot of money from us I don’t know. We didn’t see him once at our wedding, and when we did in the evening, he didn’t say a word of congratulations! He didn’t even acknowledge me or my husband after the wedding, not even a hello or how the wedding go did. NOTHING. (we were still at the hotel for 7 days after our wedding date) We spoke to our wedding planner who was amazing, we told the situation she was shocked, and she had a word with Marios, that day we went back tour room to flowers, fruit and red wine, and a WRITTEN MESSAGE on the table congratulating us, and telling us to pop by to have a drink with him – he surely must of realised how he has treated us and felt bad. But Still he didn’t say one word to us at all for the rest of our holiday didn’t even acknowledge us. All in all the hotel was lovely, food is nice, good location. Would I come back? Probably not.More

2nd time and will come back

We had beautiful stay in newly renovated beach villas. The renovation was performed with taste and style. It is hard to find such comfort in first line on such nice beach. It was our 2nd time and I have to say that this is the hotel where the quality of your stay depends on the category of the room you choose. But so does the price. Beach - white sand and shallow water. Great for kids, but could be overcrowded. Food - buffet is rather correct if you consider the price of beach villas but is excellent if you consider the price of the room with no see view. Only the wine could be better. Waiters are very friendly and pleasant. My greetings to Giorgios. Animators were cool but the kids club shall have more shadow and could use some renovations works. All in all great experience. The only problem especially if you stay in beach villas are the weddings or rather wedding parties if they take play in beach bar or beach restaurant. Music gets sometime so laud that you cant stay on your terrace. During our 9 days stay it happened twice so we could live with it but shall it happen but shall it happen more often... Anyway if you travel with family this is the place to stay in Aya NapaMore

Excellent for our wedding and honeymoon!

We definitely chose the right hotel to host our wedding in August 2014. The gardens are amazing, and Nissi Beach is right on the doorstep. All of the staff were extremely friendly, especially the "Towel change" guy on the way down to the beach, and Andreas from the Ambrosia restaurant. We booked our wedding through Thomsons, and everything went very smoothly, with no stresses in ordering specific bits for the wedding thanks to the Thomsons wedding advisors and Marios the Weddings Manager. The main Ayia Napa strip is within walking distance, and the water park is only a 5 minute drive away. The best part about the holiday was relaxing on Nissi Beach, although we did have to pay 5 euro's per day to use the sunbeds and a parasol which we assumed were free if we were guests at the hotel. The part of Nissi Beach which is within the Nissi Beach Resort is a lot quieter than the main "party" part of Nissi Beach, so we didn't mind paying to use the sunbeds. Also look out for the "Loverly Juice" guy which walks along Nissi Beach selling his "Loverly Juice", which is apparently "very cold and very nice" although we didn't buy any. Overall the holiday at Nissi Beach resort was excellent, and we would return again. Thanks for a great holiday and wedding!More

Good hotel. Perfect beach. Dull breakfast. No Wi-Fi available

The hotel is generally good. 1. WI-FI. Althought there are Wi-Fi networks in the hotel - free in the lobby and paid in rooms - but Wi-Fi does not work even for money. So the hotel is not suitable for business man. As a good alternative - there is ODYSSOS cafe just in front of the hotel entrance where the staff is friendly and kind 2. BREAKFAST. Very dull. The choice is the same every day. Be careful of FRESH ORANGE JUICE. I drank it once and then felt no good. Even called a doctor 3. TERRYTORY. It's wide, green and clean. Perfect for weddings. 4. POOL. Many sun beds - free and available at any moment of the day. Many children. Aqua aerobics and fun for childred are arranged by the hotel animators. 5. BEACH. 50 meters away from the main building. Quite shallow. Clean. Perfect for small kids. A friendly pelican walks on this beach a few times a day with a man selling soft drinks. Sun beds and sun shades are at 2.5 euro per day. There are a couple of cafes on the beach offering drinks and some sandwitches. 6. CHILREN PLAYGROUND. Good-equipped playground is offering a few facilities for children. Overcrowded in the evening. Animators look after kids during the day.More

Lovely hotel - rooms are a bit drab though

Overall its quite a nice hotel, beautiful gardens which I LOVED! Its right on the beach, staff were lovely, Our hotel room was a 'garden view' which faced a brick wall...I quite like a room with a view really so that's just my preference. Food was ok but as I'm a Vegetarian I didn't feel there was anywhere near enough to eat ...or variety. I dreaded every meal time. I felt a nuisance having to ask staff, nothing is labelled and there isn't 'meat alternatives' its chips...salad...bread...that kind of stuff. Even on Italian night I couldn't get a plain pizza...or just a vegetable one. Also there was a lot of cross contamination with serving spoons which would drive me crazy!!!! :( Apart from that though its a very relaxing lovely hotel :)More
