Hotel Nestor

The Nestor Hotel is really modern, and comes with a smart pool area. Plus, it puts you within 5 minutes of Ayia Napa’s beach and nightlife.

This hotel goes heavy on the style front. It’s all clean lines and contemporary furnishings, with futuristic LED lights wedged into roof recesses and underneath bars. The smart, unfussy motif carries on into the rooms.

Location is king for this place. A five-minute walk from the front door gets you to Ayia Napa’s famous nightlife, and the town’s white-sand beach is just as close.

Great hotel ............. shame about noisy neighbours ....

Starting with the negative ............. we were given room 216 at the back of the hotel , not much of a view but I don't spend all day looking out of the window. Nice little balcony with built in washing line. Unfortunately we were directly above the rooms with long patio areas and there were certain groups of people that decided to party into the early hours ( last one was 6am) So sleep was quite hard to come by and I ended up using ear plugs , the people in question were young East European and extremely loud round the pool area and invariably drunk in the evening as they were all inclusive and took very good advantage ............. Now the good which will outweigh the bad .......... The hotel itself is lovely , welcoming and friendly staff , the rooms are not over large but adequate and comfortable for our weeks stay. WIFI IS NOT FREE anywhere in the hotel , this was a pain as you had to keep putting your pass word in every time you logged on , 15 euro's for a week , this could have least been free in the lobby and pool areas it is 2014 after all. The pool bar is great , staff attentive and quick with orders. George is a credit and quite funny , If you pay for one of the softer loungers , you get fruit kebabs and cold towels , the pool is one of the warmest I have ever been in and it was like a tepid bath. and lovely to get into. The food choices were excellent and well presented and cooked , something for everyone, breakfast was huge and so much to choose from , cereals , toast , full cooked , salad , meats , breads and rolls , juice and tea and coffee. The dinner in the evening was good too , at least 4 choices of meat dishes , potatoes , salads , chips , vegetable's , soups , vegetarian dishes and fish dishes. The only bug bear is they have a policy that NO SHORTS or flip flops to be worn in the evenings to the dining room , this was a bit hit and miss , sometimes allowing it and other times not , when it's 27 degrees in the evening how can you expect men not to wear shorts ? This aside the waiters and waitresses cleared tables efficiently and were very polite and attentive. Drinks were reasonable priced for a hotel and the bar although never really crowded was lovely by the pool. , we had no trouble securing sun beds of which there are loads , the soft ones you pay for were snapped up quite quickly and they weren't available after 10am , (TIP: the right hand side of the pool as you look at it from the bar get the most sun) The hotels location is very close to the centre although not close enough to have the nightlife on your doorstep and really close to numerous restaurants and bars. There is also a handy supermarket at the end of the road. All in all a pleasant break and yes I would return , the only thing that spoilt it was the antisocial young crowd underneath us. We would definitely come back but perhaps request a higher corner room .............More

Margaret H,

Just come back from this hotel,we went for a holiday and my sons wedding, lovely hotel, staff are really lovely, only a couple of things that I didn't like, paying for the wi. Fi,it should be free, you had to keep putting your pass word in if you moved from pool to room.we weren't leaving till 1.30 pm so when you checked out at 12 the all inclusive stopped and you had to pay,we asked for 2 cokes and the pool staff gave them to us on the house which was good of them, would go back to the nestor again.More

Amanda G,

Another return visit!!

This is our 5th stay at the Nestor and it only gets better! The whole hotel has had a total makeover since our last stay and it looks fantastic. We now live only 10 minutes from this hotel but had a long weekend here to celebrate our wedding anniversary(see review below!). Deluxe poolside sun beds are so comfy and worth paying the little extra for. A big thank you to Markos and nice to see George is still putting a smile on everyones face!More

Nestor, best positioned hotel in Ayia Napa

First of all, let me say that the rooms are kind of small(I can say the same thing about the bathroom). Since we are on negative comments, Nestor administration should make an effort and offer free Wi-Fi to all the rooms(we are in the internet age, after all). Price to pay for Wi-Fi for 7 days, was 15Eur(which is not much). And that's about it with negative things. Although the room was a little small, it was newly refurbished and looked great. The AC works really well. All the rooms have balcony. We received room 407, which was a sea view room, and it was really nice and offered a great panorama! The room was cleaned every single day(although we had the DO NOT DISTURB light turned on in some of the occasions)! Regarding food, from what I have read on tripadvisor, everybody said that the breakfast was great and dinner was not that great. We stayed demipension(with breakfast and dinner) and let me say that the dinner was excellent. Every night we had a different cuisine(spanish, french, mexican, italian etc.). So food is great! Regarding the pool, I can't say much about it, because we didn't stay at it(we went for the beach). What I noticed though, is that it was cleaned every day, and looked really nice, especially in the evening, when some of the sunbeds are illuminated underneath. I also saw a couple swimming in the pool after 22:00, so that is why I think that the pool is not restricted to time intervals(which is nice). About the hotel position, I can say that it has the best position ever! It's 3-400 meters away from Limanaki Beach(which we didn't like, because it has rocks at the shore and is very rough). We only stayed at Limanaki in the first day. Second day(and all days after), we went to the Blue Flag awarded Nissi Beach(the best beach I saw in my life). Also regarding the position, it is very close to the clubs in Ayia Napa(about 700m away). You should go to CastleClub(cause all the nice ladies come here :-D and it's so much fun). But once you're there you can choose on your own! Ayia Napa has a great nightlife!!! Regarding Nissi beach, you can take the bus to get to it(the bus station is very close to the hotel; what you have to do is when you walk outside the hotel yard, make a right, go to the end of the street - on the left you will see BestBuy supermarket, once you've reached the end make again a right turn and after the bar with Shishas/Kalyans is the BUS station). The price for a ticket is 1.5Eur. If there are at least 4 persons, you will get asked by taxi drivers if you want to go with them and not wait for the bus(which comes at about 30-40 minutes intervals), and they will charge 2Eur/person. Arriving at Nissi, when we saw the beach, we were: "WOW, this is the most beautiful beach we've ever seen". The water is amazing, the sea is really calm here due to the fact that Nissi is positioned in a small bay. Even after 60 meters from the shore the water is about 1-1.2 meters deep which is nice for the ones who don't know how to swim(including myself :-D). To make the story short: best vacation I've ever had.More
