Hotel Nestor

Location is king for this hotel. A 5-minute walk from the front door gets you to the centre of Ayia Napa, with its numerous restaurants, bars and clubs. The town's white-sand beach is the same distance away. It starts by the pretty marina and unfurls along the shore for a kilometre.

Back at the hotel, meanwhile, there's a big, rectangular pool with Jacuzzi® jets. There's a pool bar here, too, where you can try the local wine, spirits and cocktails.

Inside, the bedrooms are a fair size, decorated in pastel shades, and finished off with dark-wood furniture. And down in the buffet restaurant, pool views and country-hopping theme nights – like French and Italian – are all on the menu.

Stayed at this hotel many times , pool area has been changed since last visited . Nobody allowed to play with a ball in the water my kids were playing with a ball that was smaller than a tennis ball and we're told they were not allowed to play with it in the pool. Daily entertainment very poor. Not allowed to jump or splash in the water incase it splashed the people on the new sun beds on the edge of the side. Not for families , should be an adults only hotel. Some nights not much sleep due to the 18-30 age group having party's in their rooms. The food and staff were great. Do not think we will return.More

The rooms were not worth the price we paid , there was very minimal space and very old looking. The service at the desk was terrible, the ladies didn't give much help with directions and had to wait 3 days for our dry cleaning after asking at the desk several times and they didn't know anything about it ! Wouldn't recommend this place or stay here again.More

Great Holiday!

This was my first holiday without my parents and I loved it. The hotel was lovely and in the perfect location between the town and the beach. All of the staff was lovely, all was very friendly! There is loads to do around the hotel. Breakfast buffet was great, we didn't have lunch so I cant comment on that. The only bad point about meals was there was not my variety in the evening meals so we got a bit bored. Brilliant holiday, lovely hotel. Although I did pay rather a lot, might be due to the travel company though not the hotel!More

Superb Holiday

Just returned from 2 weeks in the Nestor good hotel ,nice position for getting around Ayia Napa without having to use taxis, bus stops close if you want to visit Paralimni or Protaras which I highly recommend, Fig Tree Bay in Protaras is superb and safe, must mention the staff at the Nestor who really make sure you have a nice time, the food was superb overseen by head chef Christos who comes in the dining room and will tell you how to cook it the Cypriot way, there's something for everyone's taste will be returning next year, a lot of Russian visitors staying here the bonus of which is they vary rarely use the sunbeds so no trouble getting one whatever time of day you go, roll on Sept 2014 !!More

The staff are the Jewel in Nestor's crown

We stayed at the Nestor from September 22nd to October 6th 2013, this was our 3rd visit. The staff were its great strength, very welcoming, helpful and friendly, from the cleaner, 'cala mera', to the bar staff, waiters and receptionists making the stay very enjoyable. The food was lovely with plenty to choose from. The standard room we had was clean but basic and ready for the complete refurbishment they will all have over the winter. There were some rooms already upgraded and some luxury Junior Suites, some with shower only so check this if you prefer a bath. We had a good view of the sea and pool from the 2nd floor The lobby area, bar, restaurant and pool had just been upgraded and look very swish and modern, however I found the pool temperature rather cold and it was often quiet compared to our last visit, it looked beautiful though. The guests were approx. 80% Russian, some Swiss and the rest British. We experienced more nuisance night noise this time than on previous visits, we had to call reception one night at 3.30am due to excess noise but the security man was excellent, he came and dealt with it promptly and we had no more trouble from that source. It does have a fair proportion of young people who come for the club scene but about a third or more are older too. We would love to visit the hotel again sometime after the refurbishmentMore
