Hotel Napa Plaza

Loading

If you want to be in the thick of it, the Napa Plaza is right on the money. It’s tucked among olive trees, so feels pretty secluded, but it’s only a couple of minutes from Napa Square, and a 5-minute stroll from the beach. The hotel is laid out in whitewashed, terracotta-topped blocks, which huddle around a rectangular pool. As well as the bedrooms, they house 5 restaurants, including a buffet restaurant that hosts Cypriot nights, a café serving à la carte food and a Taverna. Full marks go to the sushi bar, though, which serves hand-rolled temaki against a backdrop of funky green lighting.

Cyprus - a pleasant surprise, Napa Plaza good hotel choice!

Loved most: -lovely hotel for adults only -clean, nice views, great food ESPECIALLY CAFE CENTRAL, where i tried the best carbonara spaghetti ever -tennis, table tennis ,spa, pool. -nice hotel stuff -quiet -hotel lobby (amazing) Made the right choice by choosing Napa Plaza, instead of higher ranked hotels that look worse than in pictures.I would definitely recommend it to everyone.More

Solo female - good hotel. BEAUTIFUL CYPRUS BEACHES

I stayed in the Napa Plaza Hotel for 7 nights in April 2014 as a solo female teenager. I did not go for the night life, I went on a little adventure and to relax. This was my first holiday alone and it was very successful. I would stay at the Napa Plaza Hotel again. The weather was warmer than anticipated (definitely sunbathing weather) although it was very windy. Pool was too cold but the sea is lovely to swim in! Pros: -Friendly staff always willing to help -Room cleaned well daily -Very modern rooms with a large TV, kettle, fridge, apples and bottle of water upon arrival. -WIFI ACCESS EVERYWHERE!! This was fantastic for me. I paid 30 euros to have it in my room for the week but there was wifi around the pool and all around the hotel. -Lovely selection of foods morning and evening (I was half board) all meats, lots of vegetable dishes etc. -Beautiful pool and lounge area -Not noisy at all at night Beach tips: -Limanaki Beach is about 10 mins walk away and it is STUNNING. Walk straight down from the hotel, through the harber and you'll be there. White sandy beaches and crystal blue waters. Beautiful. -Would recommend hiring a bicycle from the local dealer for 25 euros, it has a basket and gets you to the beach in 5 minutes. You can chain it to anything. -Lots of souvenir shops surrounding hotel and nice ice cream parlour down the road. Delicious and does every flavour of ice cream (including banana and fererro rocher!!) -Nice boat trips at harbour, glass bottom for 10 euros and speedboat trips for 20 euros -Most places have wifi, even on the beach the restaurants have wifi -Fresh fruit juices served at the beach (grapefruit, carrot, orange etc) -Walk right to the end of the beach and you will climb above the Greco Caves. Sit on the edge of the rocks, it is absolutely beautiful. Cons of hotel: -Air con didn't work for whole stay, told that this is the time of the year that the whole hotel is without air conditioner due to transition in weather -Didn't visit spa as felt it was overpriced -No balcony when I paid for a deluxe room -Had to use towels on the floor as the shower would leak out of the bathroom -Hair dryer really difficult to use as the cord is so short and won't stretch to the mirror -No hotel entertainment. This is possibly because it is surrounded by bars and Ayia Napa is considered party central, but I did not venture out on my own so was a bit bored in the evenings. However there's a nice cafe which serves cocktails in the evening which has TVs on. All in all I would stay at this hotel again in future :) The highlight of this holiday for me was Limanaki beach. I also visited Nissi Beach but Limanaki is way better.More

An excellent 3 star hotel

Only stayed here for one night but wish it was longer. Lovely, clean room in the heart of Ayia Napa. Staff were ultra efficient and extremely helpful and polite. Loved the piped Greek music on the veranda at breakfast. Pool area was clean but water freezing in April. I'd highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.More

Caroline F,

Only stay if you have spare cash to give away.

Myself and 5 other ladies booked 3 rooms and stayed at the hotel for 1 night on a leaving party. When we arrived all seemed very lovely and we were greeted with smiles. We had a wonder around and went to see the Spa. Not really a spa they have treatments for around 65 euro's each a cold indoor pool and a sauna which wasn't on. The lady said if we wanted it on to ask as it took half hour to warm up I said yes but she never did. Once in our room we found it nice to look at but completely impractical the desk had no mirror and the hairdryer lead was so short you had to bend over double to dry your hair ( I will come back to the hairdryer ) there was no balcony although we thought we booked superior rooms and the lighting was so dull I had to stand in the window with my compact to do my makeup. My friend went down to find out about internet and it was 8 euros a day so got the code and came back, didn't work so phoned down they talked her through it still not working so went back to desk and got a new code, went back still nothing so we left it. when we went down late mentioned it still didn't work and told them never mind. We had a couple of very nice cocktails and lunch around pool. When it was time to go out in the evening we were getting ready and was trying to dry my hair.... I have spondylitis in my neck and had spinal surgery for all my disks a couple of years ago so found it impossible to dry my hair.... My friend was also having difficulty doing it, while she was bent over she moved and touched the swivel chair that turned and knocked the glass table sending it crashing to the floor, may I add the knock was so slight she didn't even no what had happened until the smash.... She immediately phoned reception to explain what had happened and in doing so cut her foot on all the glass. Someone came and cleared it up. I spoke to receptionist and she said she understood it was an accident so didn't no if we would be billed but it would probably be about 100 euros......This is where it all went a bit wrong !! We suddenly had the phone go again telling us that it was policy that everyone gets charged 140 euros but we would only have to pay 70 ? So we left it and went to our friends room to go out. as she was sat at the table she turned to talk and knocked her table lucky we saved it.... Finding this all to convenient we asked to talk to the manager but no one was around. Next day we went back to reception to ask to speak to manager again the receptionist was very rude asking us why we were telling her as it was not her job and telling us that it had never happened in her 20 years and had we ever stayed in a hotel before !! seeing everything is made of glass in the hotel I asked if i was to place my glass on the table in front of her and it cracked would I have to pay and she said yes anything that happens to anything you have to pay even if it is the fault of the product or hotel !!! We also ask why suddenly there was 140 Euro policy appear on the second phone call but only have to pay 70, her reply was you can pay 140 if you want !!! We demanded to speak to the manager finally hours late a man emerges not the manager but somebody chatting away lovely to us, we explained again everything... But No they didn't care!! it was policy ... we had spent about 1000 euros in the 24 hours of being there and the fact it was caused by the poor set up that he is now going to investigate we still had to pay there magical 70 euros... We spent most of our time in reception instead of the room and made it a very stressful stay.... The only person who showed any care about us and not our money was the lad that has to clean it up... Not the manager or any staff asked if my friend was ok or showed any care that she had cut herself..... To top it off they still wanted to charge us for the internet even though it didn't work !!!More
