This sanctuary-like hotel has plenty of designer style – and its location is second to none.
Completely rebuilt in 2007, the Napa Mermaid is the epitome of fresh, modern design. Its pool area is ultra-stylish, with cream loungers and sofas on the sundeck. And there’s a chic cocktail bar for the evenings.
It’s in a quiet part of town, just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Ayia Napa. Across the road is Grecian Beach, so sea views are par for the course.

My sister and I just got back yesterday from a few days in Ayia Napa and this hotel was an absolute dream. We were generously upgraded to a junior suite room with an amazing coastal view of the nearby beach. The room had all the modern facilities and styling and each and every one of the staff members at the hotel were polite, kind and friendly. Special mention to Claudia at the front desk who gave an array of recommendations each one amazing! Also to Antonio who refreshed us by the pool with complimentary frozen fruit skewers and iced slushies. Perfect place for loved ones, families and trips with friends. And just that far out of the 'strip' to be a quiet retreat. About a 10 minute stroll into town.More

Lovely hotel, would return
We stayed at Napa Mermaid for one night during our trip to Cyprus (we have family who live there, so just wanted to head to Ayia Napa for a night.) We paid a reasonable £79 for B&B. Pro's: - Communal areas of the hotel are gorgeous, definitely a 4* feel, with lovely lounge areas, a gorgeous bar, large clean pool and comfy sun loungers. - Spa looks lovely, we didn't use it but there's a nice indoor pool and gym area, and the spa treatments are fairly priced. - Buffet breakfast was delicious, all hot food was actually hot, breads and pastries were fresh and there was a good selection. - Location is good, far away enough from the clubs for there to be no noise, but only a 15 min walk so no need for taxi's. Con's: - Hotel is not right on the beach so I would be disappointed if coming for a 'beach' holiday for a week or so. This depends on personal preference, if you don't mind walking to the beach then it's fine. - The room was tired. Although clean, it definitely didn't feel 4*, more like 3*. Fixtures a little dated, dressing table chipped on edges, bathroom could do with a little TLC. Overall the hotel definitely earns it's 4* from the communal areas and facilities. If the rooms were upgraded then this would be a top 4* hotel. However it was a pleasant stay and I would return at the price we paid.More

Beautiful hotel in great location
Friendly staff , quality food , very clean everywhere, beautiful public areas very well maintained . We stayed here for two weeks and had a wonderful time , would definitely recommend to anyone who is looking to stay in good standard surroundings not too far away from the lively centre . Location is perfect for anyone looking to be close to where it's lively but not in the middle of it . Overall very good standard hotel with good amenities in beautiful surroundings . The beaches in and around this area are very clean and lovely , the best of the lot is called nissi beach , its absolutely beautiful and a must visit . Enjoy :-)More
Will try other hotels in Ayia Napa next time
Cons: The lady checked us in was very unfriendly. She didn't put my son's visa paper back on to the passport after making photocopy. No apology when I asked for the visa paper back at the next morning. Our non-smoking room was full of cigarette smoke from the bathroom vent. Tricky way to flush the toilet. Pros: The room was clean. Good breakfast. The service staffs in the restaurant were very polite. The old gentleman who helped us moving to a smoke free room in the midnight was nice and helpful.More
Another fantastic stay!
After last year's stay in December, I chose again to stay there, this time with my girlfriend. And again it was amazing! The staff are very polite, smiling and welcome. The Junior Suite (256) is just wonderful and spacious, with the sea view unbeatable! Everything is quite clean, there is always someone around to question. The beach is just opposite the hotel, a 2 minute walk. The Bar was, unfortunately, not very frequented but the drinks were lovely and tasty. They offered almost every day live music. The food was outstanding, I never had seen so much choice from starters to main courses to dessert! Fantastic structure. I would like to mention Evangelos and the Restaurant Manager, whose name I forgot but who is so charming and welcoming (and he looks like Luigi von Mario Brothers :D). They both are an asset for this hotel! I will definitely come back in the near future, maybe even this year again!More
