Hotel Napa Mermaid

Fully rebuilt in 2007, the Napa Mermaid Hotel & Suites is the epitome of modern, fresh, understated design. Factor in a sandy beach, unrivalled sea views and a laid-back atmosphere and it’s clear to see why it’s so popular with guests.

Set in a quiet spot, it’s just a ten minute stroll from the centre of Ayia Napa, so it brings you the best of both worlds.

As for the hotel itself, it combines neutral, style-led spaces with a pool scene straight from a design magazine. Think sun terraces dotted with funky sunloungers, cream parasols and pergolas. Then there are the big, cubist sofas on the sundeck bringing more in the way of 21st-century style.

The bedrooms are just as chic. Elegantly styled using natural materials and earthy colours, attention to detail has been lavished on each room. But it’s the views across Grecian Bay that are the real talking point. Factor in extras like individually controlled air-conditioning and flatscreen TVs and you’ve got one modern escape.

In terms of the hotel’s dining scene, there is one restaurant, which operates on a buffet and a la carte basis. For cocktail-quaffing meanwhile, there are two chic bars to choose from.

As for facilities, there’s plenty on offer. You’ve got a health club with a sauna, whirlpool bath and a gym.Plus there’s a floodlit tennis court where you can practise your serve.

Best service we've ever experienced!

We are staying here on the Easter weekend, 2014, and the weather is perfect. Our room is top notch, very modern, with an amazing view of the sea. Our supper last night was very good, with many choices for carnivores and vegetarians, and the breakfast this morning had everything you could possibly want, all in a clean and modern setting. This would be enough to give five stars if the service was merely average, but we found everybody who works here to be very welcoming and friendly, and more than willing to go the extra mile in making our stay superb. Best accommodation ever!More

The Perfect Wedding

We had our wedding here and the after party as well, it is one of the most beautiful places we could have had the wedding in Cyprus, we had a gorgeous view on the outside terrace, all the privacy we needed, and the best part was the overall planning and help we received from the Manager, George and another department manager, who helped us with flowers, planning, the party, the decoration, the cake. Everything was super super easy, I was almost worried that I was missing something because they were so so so helpful. They were lovely people and had the most professional attitude. Everything was taken care of. Now we are quite young and were on a smaller budget than most, but I could not believe what we got for our money. We stayed the night as well, and the rooms are absolutely gorgeous, they have the best room service, they are polite, calm and really know how to make guests comfortable. I even had a bit of an obnoxious guest at my wedding who caused problems, but the staff were so forgiving and calm. Absolutely could not ask for more than what they gave us. I would recommend the place to everyone! Love love love the place. Such a beautiful place, even better than the pictures.More

Natalie P,

Excellent hotel - sadly Agia Napa itself has chanced

Definitely would recommend this hotel, especially to book a Junior suite! Though the hotel was everything we would expect from a 4+ hotel (or more) the Agia Napa village itself has changed too much to our liking. We travelled june 2013 and it was our third trip (travelled earlier 2006 and 2007) and much has changed. Village does not seem as vibrant as it was. Nissi beach side seemed bit better than the Crecian bay side. We also noticed that there were not so many European travelers anymore as there used to be.More

Excellent Hotel!

By far one of the best hotels I've stayed in. Stayed here in September for a week bed and breakfast, could not fault the food plenty to chose from excellent english breakfast. The pool area is beautifully designed with comfortable beds to sunbathe on with complementary clean pool towels everyday. perfect location location only a short walk down the road are bars and reassurance before you hit the centre of Ayia napa itself. Opposite theres a beautiful beach, very quiet with a restaurant to grab something to eat or drink. Would love to go back one day!.More

Stayed here in the summer and have finally got round to putting on a review. 70s hotel which has been refurbished and modernised. Reception, bar, pool, restaurants etc are now comtemporary and well finished off but sadly that's where it ends. We walked through our bedroom door (or should I say squeezed) to be seriously disappointed. The professional photos do their job and trick you into expecting far more. Its still stuck in the 70s with the odd modern touch - flat screen tv, contemporary furniture and dont get me started on the bathroom - 70s tiles and suite with the wall replaced by glass. And as for the gym - disgraceful! We did look to upgrade to a junior suite which was a lot lot better but at 100 euros a night. We really didnt think paying an extra 700 euros was worth paying to still have 4* facilities. I know I'm fussy but previous reviewers must be easily pleased. If you're willing to add 700 euros onto your bill to have a decent room go for it, otherwise steer clear.More
