This sanctuary-like hotel has plenty of designer style – and its location is second to none.
Completely rebuilt in 2007, the Napa Mermaid is the epitome of fresh, modern design. Its pool area is ultra-stylish, with cream loungers and sofas on the sundeck. And there’s a chic cocktail bar for the evenings.
It’s in a quiet part of town, just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Ayia Napa. Across the road is Grecian Beach, so sea views are par for the course.

Staying here was a surprise when visiting my boyfriend on his work placement in Cyprus. We only had a few weeks together but I am so glad that one of them was spent here!! We were half board and the food was great, pool and bar time was lovely relaxing and everything you could want. We were in a junior suite and it was perfect, slippers and robes and a huge bathroom with his and hers sinks. The room was cleaned every day to a high standard. Although a little pricier than some of the other hotels around it is definitely worth the extra pennies. You won't be disappointed.More
Visited the island for the first time last summer with my fiance and stayed in this truly amazing hotel. the rooms are spotless and the staff are super friendly and helpful. One of the best experiences we had we are definitely going back again! Recommend this to anyone who would like to have a nice holiday in a superb hotel by the beach.More

Unexpectedly good quality for the off season
I booked exacting the hotel to be empty, and the services and quality correspondingly lacklustre. I was pleasantly surprised to find the hotel empty, but everything seemed well staff, and the staff were all pretty friendly. Breakfast had everything you could ask for (and no queues), and the indoor pool was warm, and empty. The room was a little on the small side, but had everything you could really want. A solid 4*. I was lucky enough to get a room at the very front on the 4th floor, so had super sea views. When it was time to check out, I called down to reception to ask for an extra half an hour. The friendly receptionist said â sure, take as long as you wantâ. The general area is ok. The nearest beach is minutes away. In the winter the whole place is very bleak though. Wifi was rather odd. It is free, and in the rooms, but you need to manually search for the network, something my tablet couldnât do (and it took my phone a while to do).More

Great hotel just a couple of things to note....
Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it but note the below: Pros: - Lovely room (would definitely say spend the extra for a sea view), good size and modern - FANTASTIC front desk and restaurant staff, really excellent, professional, friendly, attentive. - Very good facilities, spa area, hairdresser (she was fantastic!!!), and things like wifi which is fast and free, even the lifts which are super fast - Great free parking - good location for nice views and some peace and quiet Cons: - No drinks with dinner on a half board basis, not even an offer for tap water.....this may be common in certain parts of the world but I was somewhat surprised by it. This added some cost to our stay and when we would ask for tap water we were given bottled and charged (I'm pretty sure this was a language error but then who wants on holiday to have the debate). We heard at least two other visitors ask why they could not bring their own drinks (bought at less than half the cost of what the hotel charges) and told it was hotel policy....it should be made clear when booking that half board is food only, dinner does not include any beverages. We ended up not drinking with our meal but rather heading back after to our room to drink drinks from the nearby shop. - Found the cleaning on a day to day basis not great, dirt on the floors and a pretty bad smell from the toilet. Another small point but sometimes it's the small things...probably the worst most uncomfortable toilet paper I have ever used... - the food was o.k but don't go there expecting amazing restaurant quality. Would have been nice to see some more Greek/Cypriot food included in the selections. All in all I would stay again but would also hope some of the above is addressed, More
Our home away from home
My and my husband stayed at the napa mermaid in 2012, which was one of the best holiday experiences we've had! (see previous review) We loved Cyprus so much that we decided to get married on the beach in Cyprus, and we stayed in the napa mermaid for our honeymoon. I can't put into words how wonderful the entire staff has been during our stay!! They spoiled us rotten during our stay :) on the morning of my wedding day they arranged that I could use one of the executive bungalows to get ready in. When we returned to our suite on our wedding night there rose petals and candles everywhere in the room. We've been here twice already, and it already feels like a home away from home. At the moment we are booking our next stay for this summer, we look forward to seeing the familiar faces again and enjoy our stay in this lovely hotel.More
