This sanctuary-like hotel has plenty of designer style – and its location is second to none.
Completely rebuilt in 2007, the Napa Mermaid is the epitome of fresh, modern design. Its pool area is ultra-stylish, with cream loungers and sofas on the sundeck. And there’s a chic cocktail bar for the evenings.
It’s in a quiet part of town, just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Ayia Napa. Across the road is Grecian Beach, so sea views are par for the course.

Just returned from a week at Napa Mermaid. I could write loads but to summarize; the hotel is absolutely beautiful, staff very helpful and friendly. We had booked a side sea view and upon arrival had been automatically upgraded to a sea view which was amazing. Honestly can't fault the hotel in anyway. Food lovely too and perfect location for a relaxing break. Would definitely return.More
We stayed here for 5 days in our visit in Ayia Napa. The hotel was an excellent choice. Quiet location but a walking distance from the center. Rooms were spacious and clean and hotel facilities were great (swimming pool, spa, tennis court..). Breakfast was amazing! With delicious food and much diversity. But the most important thing was the hotel staff who gave us the best service I can remember in a hotel! I would undoubtedly recommend to stay here.More
We were 3 youngish females looking forward to our relaxing holiday. We stayed on a half board basis where the breakfast was great, giving you so much choice. I particularly enjoyed the selection of nuts such as almonds, cashews, different types of seeds and dried fruits. They even provided smoked salmon which I've never come across on any of my previous holidays around the globe which shows there were no cost saving issues! Perfect for my daily omega 3 intake!
Dinner on the other hand was a bit of a hit and miss as none of us were meat eaters but as I love my salads, I wasn't too affected. There was also plenty of dishes to choose from so there is something for everyone.
All the staff we encountered such as the receptionists, waiters, cleaning staff were always very helpful and courteous. In fact, overall, all the people we came across in Cyprus seemed to go out of their way to ensure we had a fabulous holiday, ensuring our needs were met: people we asked to take our group pictures always waited around to check we were happy with our pics and to take more if necessary....even if they were busy!
The only problem we had was with our sleeping arrangements as the hotel could only provide 2 standard single beds which meant we had to take turns sleeping in an uncomfortable guest bed. We raised this with reception explaining that we all found that bed uncomfortable and left us sore, and if it could be replaced by a normal one. However, although they did look into matter, the bed could not be changed. We encountered the same issue in Antalya and Sharm el sheikh but when we expressed that we wanted 3 single beds, the hotels complied and accommodated us the following day. I am sure Napa Mermaid genuinely could not tend to our request but it did put a slight dampener to our holiday experience.
We each enjoyed the spa, with the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Bliss!
Location wise, it was in an ideal spot for us as it was away from the main area allowing us time for relaxation. There were bus stops outside enabling you easy access to visit other places of interest. You can walk to the main streets within 10-15 minutes. Cyprus is a very small island and doesn't take long to get around. We went to Protaras and Konnos Bay (approximately 15-20 minutes by bus) and Nissi Beach which was even nearer. We took a whole day excursion to the Troodos mountains which took under 1.5 hours to get to.... I would definitely recommend this as it was the highlight of our holiday.
To summarise, a wonderful holiday and a great hotel. I would definitely recommend to others!
We stayed here for 5 nights on our honeymoon and was upgraded from a sea view room to a junior suite. The suite was very nice and beautifully decorated with a spacious balcony facing the sea.
The breakfast was really good and plentiful. The staff are friendly and helpful. The bar area was a lovely place to sit at night and have a cocktail or two.
We couldn't fault this hotel and would highly recommend, keep up the good work! More
