This sanctuary-like hotel has plenty of designer style – and its location is second to none.
Completely rebuilt in 2007, the Napa Mermaid is the epitome of fresh, modern design. Its pool area is ultra-stylish, with cream loungers and sofas on the sundeck. And there’s a chic cocktail bar for the evenings.
It’s in a quiet part of town, just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Ayia Napa. Across the road is Grecian Beach, so sea views are par for the course.

We paid extra when we arrived to be positioned over the pool. Great view, just a shame it wasn't safe to sit on balcony, very surprised at the state of the balcony, large cracks in the mortor not just one several.
Our bed linen had holes the size of 20p coin, mentioned to front staff but nothing happened.
In restaurant I can confirm the food was very good, service a little slow at times. We did eat out quite a few times as there are lovely restaurants around and close too.
I had an accident in the restaurant at breakfast as close to the cold chiller cold meats etc water leaked out, I mentioned this to a female staff member and was told oh what again. No sign was put up and there were quite a few elderly clients. This happened every morning, still no sign etc.
The pool at night use to look fab this year there were so many lights out you could hardly tell there was any switched on, wouldn't mind but we were there mid June so not exactly end of season.
When we eventually saw a rep last night, as Thomson didn't put one in the hotel until our last night, we informed her of all the issues we had and within an hour the hotel had sent up to small bottles of wine with a card apolgising, bit late when going home next day.
Hotel definitely requires TLC, shame as it use to be a lovely hotel, we wrote direct to the hotel and haven't received a reply hence I thought future clients need to be aware.More
Good, but not great for us.
We stayed here for the second time in October 2015. It is a really good hotel, but it just starts to feel a little dated. The food is superb, the staff very attentive and every thing is always kept clean. My only issue with the stay was on the first day in the pool my 9, and 14 year old daughters were asked to leave the pool as they were using inflatable rings. This was to enable people who wanted to swim full lengths of the pool- not to be obstructed. At that time nobody else was in the pool. The written hotel rules state "no water beds", but nothing about rings or floatation devices. On our previous stay we did not have a problem with this. We spoke to the management, and were allowed to continue to use the rings. I think because of this I would not really recommend a stay for families- but I do think for a couples holiday it would be great!!!More
Clean hotel, great food, well maintained facilities, & friendly staff
I think the title already explained everything. Would love to go back again if given a chance.
They have really good toiletries, I dont normally use hotel toiletries but they have really nice ones. I even took some leftover and used it at home.
Our room was very quiet because it was January. The room was neat and nice. We even requested for a change of room as our bed had 2separate bed but they manage to solved it by adding a bed topper which was better and more comfortable.
They have a nice spa area and I had a nice massage with an Asian Lady. She was very friendly.
Thank you for your good service and especially for cooking tasty buffet.
The hotel is very close to the sandy beach in Ayia Napa, you just have to cross a street to reach the beach. Our junior suite was exquisite, with comfortable warm lounge area with sofas and the shower was huge and was like a room on its own with various settings. The sea views are wonderful too. There is also a great pool area with a pool bar to hang out. The breakfast and dinner were very satisfactory and the staff was very helpful. There is also an intercity bus stop nearby next to Marina Hotel, so it is easily accessible from other cities.More
Probably the friendliest staff and management in Ayia Napa. Napa Mermaid is a 6* worth hotel. Beautiful setting, clean, organised with the best chef. Highly recommended for families, couples and newly weds. Two thumps up!More
