On arrival at the petrosana we asked about the air conditioning and were told that the air con was â¬7 a night which we thought was fine, until they told us that price was for one unit and not both units, meaning it would have cost â¬14 a night for both units in the rooms to be air conditioned which I personally think is too expensive! The rooms themselves are nice and clean but nothing to get excited about, they are extremely clean and the cleaners do and excellent job! The towels and sheets were changed on a regular basis, in my opinion I feel that the hotel is too far away to walk to the shops/bars/restaurants in ayia napa so we ended up spending a lot of money on taxis, the biggest down fall of the petrosana was the size of the pool - it is far too small, also our flight didn't leave until 2030pm and the hotel check out is 1200pm so we had a long time to wait and decided to go to the beach for the day, we were told that we could use the showers down stairs as we didn't want to pay â¬88 for late check out, the showers downstairs weren't the best! They smelt strongly of urine, this part of the hotel also doesn't match the rest and looks very dated! But overall our stay at the petrosana was a good one but it could have been better, most of the staff were friendly, the lady named Sveltana was very helpful! We had 2 rooms for the 4 of us, I would have preferred it if we had rooms next door to each other but we were given rooms in separate blocks which was annoying, unfortunately I won't be returning to the petrosana, overall the hotel is nice but I think there is still plenty of room for improvement.More
Perfect in every way
Booked this accommodation within a few weeks of travelling so not our first choice. But what a pleasant surprise. We are a family of five so had to have two rooms. On arrival there was a problem with one room so we had to share the one bed apt for one night. As we entered the room there were 3 beds made up in the living area and a two singles in the bedroom. Perfect! It's all we wanted. Never wanted two rooms so we spoke to reception and told them we were happy to keep just this room in exchange for air con for our 7 nights. The apt was well equipped and extremely clean. With maid service and clean towels daily. Reviews read of groups of lads/girls but we had no problems. So quiet round the pool some days that we were the only ones in the pool. Pool was smallish but my 3 never complained once. Food at the pool bar was reasonably priced and delicious. Staff were also very friendly. The Petrosana is literally minutes away from the bottom of the nightlife strip. But far enough away not to be disturbed. Within walking distance of the square and lots of amazing bars and restaurants. There's a supermarket directly across the road. Lovely friendly helpful staff here too. Have been coming to Cyprus and Ayia Napa for over 20 years. Love Love Love Cyprus. Love this Hotel and will definitely return. More

Relaxed and rejuvenated
My first trip to Cyprus with my husband and first time to Ayia Napa. I researched a lot and came across Petrosana Apts. We wanted something close to the bar strip. This is a great location, 5 mins from the main square, shopping street, 10 mins from the beaches, and right across the bar street. It is very peaceful and quiet at night as the location is a bit interior, so you will feel everything is shut. But you need to walk out to the main bar street to catch all the action :)
The room has everything in it, very spacious with 2 single beds (better if it was twin bed), TV, fully equipped kitchen, bathroom shower with hot water, big balcony with chairs and a table, clean towels, shampoo etc. Ask for a pool facing room, it has a better view. The hotel has 3 floors with no lift, but walking up and down is no big deal. Also there is ample parking space in the hotel in case you rent a car or buggy. There is a buggy rental just across the hotel
Also across the hotel is a supermarket you can get your daily necessities and alcohol as well. Try the Commandaria wine, the best port wine I've had so far.
yes the hotel charges extra 7 euro per day for the AC but thats ok, most hotels in Ayia Napa charge extra for the AC. The hotel has a small pool and bar serving drinks and food. For breakfast there is a limited menu, we went further to the next hotel Senator Apts for a full buffet breakfast for 7.5 euro.
In all we enjoyed our short stay at Petrosana and will definitely recommend those looking for a quite, relaxing holiday.More
Very nice hotel, clean and kept updated the rooms were spacious and a nice pool. The nightlife was about ten minutes walk from the hotel but there was some pubs and bars within a minute walk. Rental places two minutes away.More
Stayed here for 1 week. Staff really friendly and helpful. The rooms were really clean. Beds were changed everyday and towels every other. Was expecting a tiny room as it was only a studio apartment but it was really spacious. There is a bar by the pool which serves food, great if you are wanting a snack. It's about a 5 min walk to the strip so the apartments are really quiet you don't hear all the noise coming from the bars. You would need a taxi to get yourself to the beach, to walk it would take around 30 mins if not longer. There is a supermarket across the road which gives you 10% off alcohol if your staying at the petrosana. A good little restaurant across the road too which does really good breakfasts. Only thing I would have to say about this place is there is no lift and we were on the top floor so trying to take 2 heavy suitcases up 2 flights of stairs was a challenge.
Thinking of coming back to Ayia Napa again next year and we wouldn't stay anywhere else but here.
