A well run hotel, with excellent staff and a great location
We arrived at the Anesis Hotel on Sunday 18th September in a taxi, compliments of Thomsons, so a very nice surprise. We were checked in by Ann a very nice person from our part of the country. Our room was on the second floor over looking the pool. It was nice and spacious with plenty of storage and a large bath room and a very nice balcony, which has a clothes airer on it. We had decided to stay half board as the deal seemed very good especially with the exchange rate being so low at the minute. Breakfast was ok, everything pre cooked so no fresh eggs or omelettes. The bread was a bit disappointing, no nice rolls and sometimes the sliced bread was stale. Evening meal was alright, some nights better than others. If we were to return and the exchange rate was better I would prefer to go B/B and eat in the hotel on cerain nights as to buy a meal was only 12 euros. The pool area was excellent, with plenty of sunloungers through out the day. There was a nice part where you could walk into the pool which I think is very good. I think the one thing that lets this hotel down is having to pay for wi fi, most hotels we have been in during the past few years have had free wi fi in reception. But it is a very nice hotel, lovely staff and great location so I would recommend it. We had a nice relaxing holiday with fantastic weather and we are really missing Cyprus.More

Fabulous hotel, excellent location, great hotel.
We stayed for a week from 14-21 September. Booked B&B through Thomson as a last minute deal at a reduced price. The hotel itself is mid refurbishment. Rooms: On a rival we were greeted very warmly and checked in straight away (arriving about 10pm) We had room 118 on the first floor which admittedly was a little dated. Although was not one of the newly decorated rooms (also a smaller balcony than some) it overlooked the pool and had a lovely outlook. The accommodation manager was kind enough the next day to offer us a swap but we opted to keep what had. Our room was serviced every day with no issue depending on the sign we used for the door. The hotel tries to be eco and you can decide the frequency of service. The only slight niggle would be that some of the towels were a little tired and it is a typical hotel double made from two singles pushed together. The matress was firm but perfectly comfy. The air con worked well and was included in the price of our room. Sadly there was a fridge which was locked in a cupboard which was on all the time....This would have been a â¬3.50 charge each day which we passed up as we had a cool bag and shopped in the mini supermarket over the road be for visiting the beach. In total honesty if we'd paid full price we would have felt a bit miffed about having to pay extra (also the eco thing seems silly as the fridge is on all the time but locked away) Pool: The pool area was absolutely lovely. The gardens are really pretty and we'll kept. We didn't have an issue with using sun loungers at all. We used the pool area in the morning then went to the beach on the afternoon. Beach: Conveniently a few minutes stroll from the hotel. Being rather 'Yorkshire' we opted not to pay for sun loungers at â¬2.50 each and took a picnic blanket instead. It was lovely soft sand - slighltly rocky on the way in to the sea but there were sand bag walk ways to help dotted about. Lovely clear warm medeterainian sea. The beach was really busy but was clean enough and a choice of quite a few places to eat and drink....prices slightly more than elsewhere. We were told that Nissi beach was superior but being on a fly and flop break this time we didn't venture that far. Location: Close enough to get involved in the main bar street madness if you wish or steer clear. The transfer from Larnaca airport was an easy 40 minutes. 30 of which was main road and roughly 10 of other hotel drop offs. Food: The buffet breakfast at the hotel was excellent. Varied in choice with ceramic, fruit, contenental and cooked options (understandably the same each day) only niggle again would be the fruit juice was from a machine and more lite cordial than fresh and other than slices of orange and grapefruit all other fruit was tinned. Again for what we paid this was fine but at full price this could be improved. All other meals we had out of the hotel as there is so much choice. You can expect to pay the same as a meal out at home (with the pound being so weak) but the standard of food everywhere we found excellent....unsure if we were super lucky. Overall a wonderful time. This is a truly excellent 3* hotel admittedly all the better for the reduced price. Once the refurbishment is complete and with a few minor improvements this would easily be a 4* More
Good Location for Otherwise Average Hotel
My wife and I were only staying for a long weekend in Ayia Napa with a couple of planned excursions, so we were looking for a hotel with a good location and decent value. I guess we succeeded, but I will look elsewhere for our second visit. The Anesis is a unapologetic three-star hotel that makes little attempt to act like anything more. As many have mentioned, the extra charges for wifi and the safe seem petty, and our room could have used a renovation. It appears that some of the rooms have been updated recently, so if you're able, ask for one of those. The service was acceptable; the staff was friendly enough. Although I wanted to print out boarding passes the day we left, and the front desk wouldn't let us email them a copy to print, which seemed strange. There were a lot of options for breakfast which was nice, although the prepared dishes (especially the scrambled eggs) were underwhelming. With all this being said, the hotel has a nice pool and patio area, and the single greatest selling point in my eyes is the location. Just a few blocks from the beach and around the corner from restaurants, bars, etc. For quick visit it was fine, but we'll stay somewhere else next time. More
Stayed here for 2 nights in the middle of an 11 night holiday in Paphos, found the hotel to be very clean actually spotless and the view from our balcony absolutely breathtaking. we stayed B & B and although found it tasty it was unfortunately cold both mornings so not so good would probably stay here again but am already booked at the Sancta Napa next year for 2 weeks which is right next door cant wait to go back to ayia napaMore
