Hotel Anesis

This family-run hotel has a superb pool, and puts you in walking distance of Ayia Napa’s nightlife and beach.

This place gets 5-star reviews on TripAdvisor for its buffet restaurant and pool scene. It’s got location sorted, too – the centre of Ayia Napa is only a 5-minute walk away, as is sandy Limanaki Beach.

When it comes to things to do, you’ve got sports like volleyball and water polo in the grounds. There’s a small gym*, too, and a sauna to unwind in afterwards. Cocktails come courtesy of the poolside bar*.

Perfect again

We stayed at the Anesis hotel again for our 6th time, we was greeted by Anne on reception who is always extremely helpful. As usual everything was ready for us. The room was nice and clean. We have a 18month old daughter who all the staff at the hotel were brilliant with, this made our stay even more pleasant. We will hopefully be back again next year. ThanksMore

Shame they are stopping Bed and Breakfast!

Another great holiday stay at the Anesis, a few room problems at first but this was corrected quickly and satisfactory. Sadly we will have to go elsewhere next year because the hotel has decided to stop the Bed and Breakfast option and it now is more expensive than a room in the Nestor. The staff are a credit to the hotel, my only big complaint is the extortionate price for very poor broadband!More

"Excellent stay"

This was our first time staying in Ayia Napa & we couldn't have chosen a better hotel, booked through Thomson's. We didnt arrive untill 11.30pm, Mike checked us in & made us so welcome. Our room was great with a fabulous sea view from our balcony. Everything spotless clean. There is plenty of choice in the food, service is excellent. All the staff were friendly & helpful. The hotel is perfect to all amenities. The 101 service bus only just around the corner to visit Protaras with all its lovely clean bays/beaches. The weather was glorious sunshine 34 degrees centigrade & above. Although Ayia Napa is well known for its night clubs there are plenty of other bars to visit if you are not a "clubby" person. We had walk down there in the daytime & it was like a ghost town, had to have a peek! Fabulous holiday & we are hoping to return to the Anesis hotel next year booking through Thomson's again.More

Kathy S,

Good Hotel

Holiday was Booked through Thomson for me & my 8 yr old son. Transfer was an hour and 20 minutes from the airport. We were last to be dropped off out of the 7no drops so got to the hotel at 1-15am in the morning feeling very tired and hungry. Coach driver decided to drop us off in the road outside instead of pulling into the car park?? Meaning that my 8 yr old son got off the coach half asleep straight into the road where an on coming car narrowly missed him! No help from anyone with our 2no suitcases and hand luggage from the road side into the hotel. Arrived at reception to be told that my room that i'd booked wouldn't be available until the next day so was put into a small room over looking the car park. I had booked a superior room over looking the pool /sea. No refreshments, food or drink available on arrival? Not even a bottle of water!! Next day i complained about all of the above to the Thomson Rep who sorted pretty much everything out quite swiftly......... The Hotel management apologized and they compensated me with free wifi, free safe, free lunch, and free courtesy room on departure which i was happy with. The rest of my two week stay there we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were all very friendly and the hotel was kept spotlessly clean at all times. Great location for everything, bars, restaurants, beach, and the harbour, all within a couple of minutes walk. If i had to complain then it would be the volume of Russian guests staying at the hotel during our stay in Aug 2014. Probably 80% Russians which i found to be quite arrogant and rude on the whole. My 1st week there were three other English families staying there and my 2nd week there was only one other English family which meant my 8yr son didn't have any friends to play with around the pool. Hotel and staff couldn't fault except my first night!More

Great location

This was our first stay at the Anesis, at check in we met Anne an English receptionist and she made us feel really welcome, nothing was too much trouble for her and she booked us a fabulous trip aboard the the red bus famagusta. We had five people in our party so we had to book two rooms, the rooms were next door to each other for which we were greatfull but the rooms were really dated with carpets that had seen better days, Infact one of our rooms had a big iron burn in the middle of it. With myself, husband and 12 year old son in one room it was quite cramped, and the third bed was a fold away, not the comfiest. On the belcony there was a plastic table covered in Mold and only two chairs despite there being three of us. The cleaner reported us for burning the plastic table even though we didn't smoke nor had a lighter, we tried to talk to a receptionist about this but was told that we should have checked everywhere when we checked in ( sorry shouldn't have to do this, maybe train your cleaners to do job properly). Couldn't fault pool area the pool was amazingly big and very clean with plenty of sun loungers to go round. We stayed half board but would not recommend this as the evening meal wasn't up to much, even though there was a variety the potions were very small and tasteless. The waiting on staff were very pleasant but didn't give you time to put down your knife and fork before they cleared your plate away ( very annoying). All in all not a bad stay, great location, some of the staff were really lovely but can defiantly improve on a few things.More
