The hotel staff and the location of Anesis are the two best things about this hotel.
We had two twin standard rooms for four adults. The rooms themselves are great sizes with a balcony however they are a little dated. From what I seen on the booking sites and here on tripadvisor we seem to have gotten the 'old' rooms they had available. Carpets, drapes and bed covers/quilts could do with replacing. Dated not dirty though so as far as cleanliness goes it was fine.
There were several front desk staff we had interactions with and all of them were lovely and very helpful. The bartender by the pool Suzana was our personal favourite though :)
The hotels location is a short walk to the beach and city centre. The only time we needed to use public transport was when visiting the water park (must visit for young adults and kids). Plenty of convenient stores and cafes/restaurants nearby also.
Overall a good stay and we would return with the request for a newer room.More
Will not be going back
This was our fourth visit to this hotel and were really looking forward to it.However it did not live up to our previous visits,as stated by David C they cater more for Eastern Europeans. The full English was plentiful but on numerous occasions was Cold.Evening meals were themed but not very good. The staff are really friendly and helpful. The location is ideal for clubbing or access to the beaches and harbour. We have found a cracking little bar five minutes away called KIMON and the owner Costas is a superb host. Will go back to Ayia Napa but sorry not to the Anesis.More

Food needs upgrading caters mainly for the eastern europeans who are very bad mannered. My wife and I booked half board but ate out more than we ate at the hotel,if we visit this hotel again it will be self-catering.More
Three and a half
Arrived after 10pm so missed evening meal but given a voucher for the cafe for lunch instead which was nice. Check in was simple and quick with two very welcoming guys on the desk. First impressions of the room were old, dated and not a great size for three of us. The next morning breakfast was really good. Everything and anything was on offer and the English breakfast was fab! We are fairly fussy eaters and out of the eleven nights there was only one night we couldn't eat the food..... Ironically it was a Greek night theme. We choose to eat out a couple of more times on an evening just because there was so much choice elsewhere and the hotel on an evening is boring. No one stays at the hotel on an evening there is no music or entertainment and absolutely nothing for kids no mini disco or anything. This is a real shame and a wasted opportunity. The pool was lovely and the snack bar very good too. The staff are ALL wonderfully friendly from the manager to the maid. Even though a little dated everything is spotlessly clean. English people are in the minority here which isn't a problem for us but might be for some. The beach is just over five mins away and is lovely.. Right on the harbour and the town is a few mins away too. Thomson rep was there if you needed her but not very enthusiastic I suspect because we weren't 18 there to rave! Overall we had a great holiday given the choice again I would choose a different hotel based on what I have said above.More
