Before booking this, I took a lot of stick from the lads because of some bad reviews. When we arrived at grungalows, the staff were very nice and we organised wifi and air con for a cheaper price as we were a group of 8 (you did have to pay but they all charge you for AC and wifi.) We were shown to our rooms, very simple, 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and a living area. 2 single beds in the bedroom, a fold up bed and a single bed in the living area. As we were on the bottom floor, we had a small area with a table and chairs that backed onto a small grass area, and they had organised us 2 rooms together (room 105 and 103). The fridge didn't really work too well, but we had running water, so could have a warm shower. The AC only really made the bedroom cold if the door was permanently closed and disnt help the other room at all. It also dripped water into our garden area after a few days. There were 2 hobs to cook with and a few pots, which was great as the only meals we ever cooked were pasta. Staff were great, obviously having consumed plenty of alcohol, accidents happened and we broke a bed a tiny bit (the frame end snapped off, so my friend had to sleep on a tilt):/ and after having a talk with the manager, George, who was very reasonable, said we'd have to pay a fine of £60 at max... they had someone come in and put a new end on the bed the next day and we were never charged anything. The on site shop was great, we bought all our water from there, spending about 3euro a day on about 18 litres (very cheap). There is an alcohol shop across the road however the staff don't want you bringing any alcohol in, so we just passed them over the fence with no problems. Social aspects were great, central pool, beds all round, bar and seated area next to the pool with 2 pool tables behind that. They had a few party games going on by the pool and it was a very chilled atmosphere. We had several complaints but they were mainly understandable things like our room being the messiest in the hotel (rated by cleaners daily) and noise complaints when we were still partying at 8AM. However the cleaner was fantastic and put up with our s*** daily and had a great surprise on the last day when it was all cleaned for her :) If we go back to ayia napa, this WILL be the hotel I will stay at, there's a shop on site, quad bike rental is 20 meters down the road, the first club is 10 meters up the road and about a 15 minute walk to the beach if you divert to maccys or kfc. Fantastic location. 105s HAVING A PARTY, BRING YOUR VODKA AND YOUR CHARLIE!!!More
Near the booming street.
Nice hotel, you get what you pay for , but most important is that the hotel is clean and just 1 min walk from the bar street where everything is happening, and 10 mins from Nissi Beach by car or motorcycle, i would recommend this hotel.More
