Best place to stay in ayia napa.....

I was here 16th to 26th sept... didn't think i would make it back this year as there were no direct flights from dublin... Lucky for us they now do direct flights from belfast all we needed to do was get aircoach from Dublin to belfast which was a breeze... So no excuses for us irish now.... I have stayed here 3 years in a row and i could not fault the place..its only 2 minutes from the strip.... The rooms are clean and spacious...the pool area is lovely and always buzzing... the food is great and the bar is nice and there is always a bit of craic at the bar so if you didnt feel like the strip some night.. your sure to have fun there... And for the staff they couldnt be more accomodating... nothing was a hassle for them they are friendly and very helpful.... Especially Nicky the manager.. George the owner and Christina behind the bar... I will definately be back next year.. i'd recomend it to anybody...More

Basic but be careful

My boyfriend and I stayed at these apartments for a week in September and were slightly apprehensive after reading the mixed reviews. The apartments themselves are in a good location with the strip 2 minutes away along with the bars and restaurants 5 minutes away. We didn't expect much from the apartments and just as well because as we were told they were basic, there is a difference in basic and dingy. I've stayed in basic before but the cupboard and kitchen area in these apartments look like they were purchased 40 years ago. We didn't cook anything in the kitchen as the fridge was already broke and we didn't want to try the cooker. The shower is protected or unprotected should I say with a curtain and the water soaks the whole floor. The beds were comfortable but were not changed daily, rather just made. The same stain stayed on my pillow for days. The maids arrived at our door before 10am one morning and we were sleeping however they proceeded to carry out their work with us in bed. It made us feel really uncomfortable. They also kept leaving our balcony door lock open which I found dodgy. The pool area was nice and clean and sun beds available all the time. There is a sign which states that you can't drink drinks that haven't been purchased from the pool bar, but I and everyone else seemed to ignore this. I found the pool bar expensive and paid €5 for a strawberry daiquiri that was really small. We never ate here. During our stay an altercation broke out between the owner and one of the guys staying here in which the guy ended up punching a door. The owner then demanded €500 upfront and withheld his passport threatening to not let him leave the country. As the guy was about to catch his coach to the airport he reluctantly paid the fee which wasn't evidenced with an invoice or anything. Quite frankly I find this behaviour DISGUSTING and actually it is illegal to withhold anyone's passport. Everyone who checks in gets their passport kept behind the counter and this is as a threat. When we were checking out the lady at reception said we couldn't leave until the maids checked if we had broken anything in the room. I think she might need to take a look at the apartment and realise there's nothing to break because everything in there is ran down already. We paid around €300 for a week here which we thought was cheap but we realised why when we stayed here, we had to pay an additional charge for aircon (€60), you have to pay for wifi, the safe you have to pay for is actually at reception. Although the week we spent here was average, I wouldn't stay here again and would strongly advise large groups to be wary of booking this place as the owner won't leave you alone, constantly looking at something to pick at. Be careful when you stay here.More

Great Atmosphere!

Stayed here from 19th - 24th June for a stag do with a group of 8 of us. All in our early 30's, we were clearly the oldest group there but we had a right laugh at this place. I've never stayed anywhere that had such a buzzing atmosphere around the place, the management and staff are absolutely brilliant. We didn't bother going out some days & nights cos all the party we needed was happening here! Rooms are basic but cleaned every morning and were very spacious & comfortable. The cleaning staff were superb I had a proper laugh with our cleaning lady and gave her a hand to tidy up as well. The pool is massive, and the atmosphere around the pool in the day is really good, decent sound system and loads of good music - they are open to requests & music suggestions too. The food & booze here is a very good standard and well priced. Great variety of both, and there was something for everybody. I will definitely be going back here, big thanks to George, Nick and all the staff for making our stay such a good one, big up :)More

Hotel with good vibe and tremendous adds

It is nicely situated hotel in Ayia Napa's center. About 600 m to the beach, close to the stores and restaurants. I was adored by smooth R&B music around the pool. If You want to rest and music is annoying You - ommit this place. To chill out by bar or pool - perfect. The thing I did NOT like was extra paid additions. You have to pay for everything! 1 day internet is 10 EUR, AC - 2 EUR, dryer - 2 EUR, converter - 2 EUR... It was annoying. There were also some small bags all over the apartment.More

Great Atmosphere, Fun, Safe, Wicked!!!

Me and a group of friends in our 40's travelled to Green Bungalows to watch the Football when Wales played Cyprus. As travelling fans we don't always expect a great reception from the places we stay but that is exactly what we received from all the staff at this hotel. From Nick and George to the reception and great bar staff. The cleaning lady really looked after us, always tidying our belongings she even did the dishes!! Must mention not one did I feel like something untoward would happen with my stuff unlike some strange reviews state here?? They really have the place nailed down and make you feel so comfortable. They operate a guest only policy and with the security at night they make the place feel like a home from home. Always a good crowd at the bar and reasonably priced too!! there always a bar man special for the best customers!! Will be returning with the family next year!!! Thanks Green Bungalows and sorry about the footy result lolMore
