Barbara Apartments

Although the action in Ayia Napa is only ten minutes away, the Barbara Apartments have a secluded feel to them.

These simple studios and one-bedroom apartments have a best-of-both-worlds location – nice and quiet, but less than ten minutes’ walk to the bars, clubs and shops in Ayia Napa’s centre.

The Barbara Apartments offer a winning combination of self-catering essentials and a petite pool area that reels in the 20-something crowd in the summer months.

Don't judge a book by it's cover

Stayed here in June for a girls holiday, we were quite worried because the photos weren't very good and it's not easy to find online. When we got into the apartment it was actually really nice, very clean and spacious. The pool was nice too and the food from the pool bar was quick and tasty. It was so close to the strip which was the best bit, only thing is it's a 20-30 min walk to Nissi beach. There's also a supermarket about 4 mins walk away which was really handy, I would definitely recommend this place and i would definitely stay again :) More

Id rather sleep on the street

By far the worst hotel i have stayed in, the service was disgusting, no normal showers, no clean towels, no clean bedding. Insects everywhere, and i aint talking small ones im talking the ones the get in your skin from Mummy Returns 2, you have to pay for AC which don't work and pay for Wifi that is slow and doesn't work in the room, if you have any respect for your self, dont stay there, the UN should visit that place and close it down because it's against human rights More

Aakil P,

Could be better!

Wouldn't recommend staying here. We were greeted on arrival by a cockroach in our room and should have known then it wouldn't be great! The pool was really filthy with floating bugs for the first few days but seemed to have been cleaned later on. We paid 52€ for air con which was pointless - we complained it didn't work well enough on the second day but nothing was done until we spoke to the manager a few days later - not sure what they did but it was more powerful afterwards though I still wouldn't bother with it. The cleaners don't come in every day and when they did they left all windows open so I'd definitely pay for the safe. Oh also, if you see the cleaners, ask for extra loo roll - we ran out one afternoon and were told to wait until the following day! Three girls crossing their legs for 12 hours - not going to happen! The shower is absolutely horrendous, it's either boiling hot or freezing cold and comes out like one steady stream from a tap and soaks the entire bathroom. The third bed is uncomfortable enough that you still can't sleep after a night out and we can usually pass out on anything! On the plus side, it's located fairly close to all the bars, clubs and restaurants but I wouldn't walk back alone as it's a pretty dodgy area and cars/bikes pull up alongside you a lot. Also, the food at the pool bar is pretty decent and reasonably priced and the majority of the staff are lovely. We had an awesome time in Ayia Napa but after speaking to others out there, it was obvious we could have stayed somewhere much nicer for cheaper! More

Stayed here at the end of July 2015 with 2 friends, although the location is not even a 5 minute walk from the clubs, I wouldn't recommend staying in these apartments. The room we payed for was to sleep 3, the pictures may look reasonable but they don't show the whole room. 2 standard beds but the 3rd was a camp bed which was severally uncomfortable, it felt as though there was a pole digging into my back meaning not being able to sleep comfortably. Evidentially the images on the site don't show this. Also, after paying for aircon separately each day, we came to realise towards the end of the holiday the mould in the vent meaning it hadnt been cleaned which is extremely unhygienic and unacceptable. The wardrobe is minture size unable to fit 3 individuals clothes in especially with only 3 hangers provided. On to the kitchen where we had a gas hob, which would be ok if we were at least provided with a lighter in order to use this which we weren't. When we arrived in these apartments, for the first couple of days the lights in the hall ways weren't working which was externally unsafe for all. A group of girls we knew stayed 2 minutes down the road, their apartments were much higher standard than ours even though we paid over £500. I wouldn't recomend staying in these apartments unless you expect to face all of these faults.More

Near place to everywhere!

I went with 2 of my friends, we stayed in a triple room. The extra bed was awful! But everything else was great, its located 3 minutes walking from the clubs square which was the most we needed, and 7 minutes from the beach, you pay a taxi €8 to go to Nissi beach. The staff are the most friendly ever, the residence are all 20s so don't go there with a baby (noisy). All people there become friends immediately :D Just go there, have max of fun and save your money for clubbing!More
