If there was an Oscar for best location, the Laguna Molindrio Hotel would be giving the famous gold statue pride of place in their trophy cabinet. Recently renovated, the hotel has a new string to its bow in the shape of a second outdoor swimming pool. Both pools are framed by a spacious sun terrace and a generous helping of sun loungers and parasols complete the picture of relaxation. Better still, there's just a stretch of pine-planted lawn between the terrace and the shore.
Inside, they've waved their interior design wand. The rooms come in contemporary burnt orange and cream or grey and white colour combinations. With flatscreen TVs providing an extra modern zip.
