The back-to-nature setting of this hotel means it’s a great choice for retreat-style holidays. It’s set on a gentle wooded hillside that coasts down to a rocky beach. Pathways weave through the gardens to a sheltered cove complete with bathing platforms.

The hotel itself curves in a C-shape to overlook the gardens, forest and sea. As such, the bedrooms come with either views of the grounds or out across the Adriatic. Step inside and you’ll notice they’re light, modern and decorated in a simple style - expect pastel colour schemes of white and lavender, and in-room comforts like satellite TVs and hairdryers.

On the dining scene, the food here is all help yourself. Breakfasts are a mix of hot and cold dishes, while evening meals feature things like fish and pasta. Plus there are theme nights once a week. Complimentary alcoholic and soft drinks are also on the menu in the evening.

In terms of things to do, most of the action is focused on the pool. It’s a spacious set-up with a separate kids’ pool in a wraparound sun terrace with parasols and sun loungers. For a change of scenery, head to the local sports centre for tennis, minigolf and pedalos. The town of Porec, meanwhile, is about a 20-minute walk away.
