Karolinas House  

Down pedestrianised Zvonimira towards the bay, a flight of 35 stone steps leads up to Karolina's Apartment, a comfortable apartment with a lovely shaded terrace close to Lapad Bay.
Lovorko and Andelka, the friendly owners, have the house below with the path to the apartment leading through their garden, and divide their time between here and their vineyards in the wine-producing heart of the Peljesac Peninsula. They speak good English and, as keen gardeners, have taken the unusual step of training a kiwi plant along the trellis above Karolina's terrace.

This is a lovely place to sit out and read and marvel at the riot of colour which the gardens of rose, hibiscus, magnolia, mandarin, lemon and olive trees provide at the onset of summer.
Inside, the apartment is furnished in a homely and comfortable manner and a sturdy wooden dresser dominates the main room. French doors open out to the terrace from here and there is also a large dining table, small sofa and kitchenette - perfect for preparing simple meals to be eaten al fresco. The two bedrooms and a roomy bathroom are located to the rear of the apartment.
