The Old Town of Dubrovnik is extraordinarily rich in fascinating architecture which crosses ages and styles. A unique place of interest is the tiny synagogue which is hidden among the steep alleys north of Stradun. One of the oldest synagogues in the Balkans, the building dates from the 15th Century, with a 19th-century interior adorned with lamps, candelabras and stars of David embellishing the blue ceilings. The pebble beach in the middle of Lapad Bay is a short walk away and shops, restaurants and bars are within easy reach if you wish to spend your evenings closer to home. The old town of Dubrovnik is a short drive or bus ride away for daytime exploring or a greater selection of restaurants and nightlife.
