The family-friendly Valamar Crystal counts a close-to-it-all setting, a relaxing pool set-up, and lots of things to do as highlights.
This place has clinched a seafront spot in a pine forest clearing. You can walk to the ragged shoreline in a few minutes, and the Roman town of Porec is just a bit further on.
The hotel is well geared up for families, with lots of activities and separate pools for children and adults. Décor is cool and contemporary – rooms come with beech furniture and brightly painted feature walls.

Great Croatian Hotel
Just back from the Valamar Crystal Hotel this is our third time in Croatia and it didn't disappoint. All the staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our week stay. Food was buffet style and first class. Excellent selection to suit everyone and always hot and fresh with plenty of it. Entertainment was good and Valamar gala night was excellent. Location of the hotel was good especially the sunset and for a leisurely 20min walk into Porec along the coastal path. Forgot to mention the beautiful forest setting and wildlife.More

Great activity Hotel, Lots to do!!!
We stayed as a couple from the 14th July for a week, when we arrived we couldn't believe how huge the actual resort is....so many things to do and very reasonable prices. The pool was very busy and did not actually use it once due to no available sunbeds, ended up getting a boat over to nearby Valamar Isabella which had a much more relaxed and luxurious feel. On our first night there we decided an early night was needed after a very early flight, we got into bed around 10:30pm only to hear ridiculously loud thumping music (cotton eyed joe !!) even with the door was closed! Luckily we went to bed later on other nights so we missed the noise. Was a little bit let down by the restaurant, was extremely hot and there was no seating area outside which when on holiday is a must for me i'm afraid. Ending up not using our half board deal and eating out most nights. Overall, very nice resort especially for children. Lots to do and near the lovely town of Porec which has lots of nice restaurants and a really pretty harbour.More

American Music Abroad Bronze Tour
I was on the American Music Abroad Bronze Tour touring Europe with 100 kids. We stayed at the Valamar Crystal hotel for 3 nights. The beach was beautiful, but 3 kids got stung by sea urchins in the ocean. The pool was salt water. The hotel rooms were very spacious. More
Our first holiday in Croatia so we did not know what to expect. I am so glad we picked this hotel as it was in great position amongst the trees and just a short walk to the sea. Our room was spotless and was kept so by Ana the maid . The whole hotel was fantastic and as for the food both my wife and I are going on a diet. The only thing we could fault was at times in the evening the music had too much Bass . Will be returning to this area again next year.More
Nice stay at Valamar Crystal
This was our first trip to Croatia and we were so pleased to have chosen Istria for our holiday. We were made to feel welcome at the Valamar Crystal on reception and checking in was swift. We were given a room on the 4th floor with a woodland outlook facing towards the sea. The room was fine but we thought the shower was a bit small. Our room had sunshine on the balcony in the afternoon and it was quite pleasant sitting out side with a glass of wine. The Valamar Crystal is a 25 minute stroll from the centre of Porec, it's a nice walk and we walked it nearly everyday, the path takes you through woodland adjacent to the sea. There is a tourist train which stops near the hotel, we chose on occasions to catch the train on the way back from Porec it was only 10 Kuna. The catering in the hotel was excellent, at breakfast there was a good choice of cereals, meats, cheese and bacon for those who like a cooked breakfast. The only let down was the fruit juice which was like a cordial and not very nice. At dinner there was always a choice to eat, from a roast or local cuisine, salad bar with a huge choice and freshly prepared pasta and pizza. A lot of the food available is freshly cooked in front of you. Service in the dining room was very good. The hotel provided entertainment most evenings but we were not all that impressed with the Elvis act! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, and would like to visit Istria again one day.More
