Valamar Crystal

The family-friendly Valamar Crystal counts a close-to-it-all setting, a relaxing pool set-up, and lots of things to do as highlights.

This place has clinched a seafront spot in a pine forest clearing. You can walk to the ragged shoreline in a few minutes, and the Roman town of Porec is just a bit further on.

The hotel is well geared up for families, with lots of activities and separate pools for children and adults. Décor is cool and contemporary – rooms come with beech furniture and brightly painted feature walls.

Nice relaxing Holiday

My partner and I stayed here the 2nd week of June for 10 days and really enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is very comfortable and the staff more than helpful. When we arrived the check-in was quick efficient and the young lady who dealt with us was helpful and polite. We stayed in room 346 and had a lovely view from our balcony it overlooked Pine trees and in the distance you could see the sea. We had a couple of rainy days with storms but it did'nt spoil things. Rooms were cleaned daily to a high standard and for the 2 of us spacious enough. Food in the restaurant was very good although sometimes far too much choice however it has to cater for a lot of different tastes. Pizza is'nt my favourite type of food but it was extremely good on par with my opinion. Eggs were cooked fresh and pancakes at Breakfast.Price of drinks in the hotel was'nt too exspensive and the bar service was good.We walked or caught the little train into Porec of an evening and sometimes in the day. we also had a couple of rides with the rickshaw guys (not too bad price about £4). All in all a lovely holiday and I would recommend it to couples and families.More

Good choice

Have just returned from the valamar crystal and very impressed with our choice.Hotel is in beautiful grounds where you can easily access the wonderful walk along the edge of the sea into Porec about a 25 minute stroll(although you have to watch for the sometimes inconsiderate people riding bikes at some speed). The hotel is well presented, kept exceedingly clean and the choice at both breakfast and evening meals is extensive with all tastes being catered for.Loved the heated pool and the fact you could change pool towels whenever you wanted and also the sunbeds placed in the gardens which were really quiet and peaceful and a godsend to get shade under the trees in the heat last week, never seen this before but what a great idea, well done.Had a twin room overlooking the children's club and the "forest" with a huge balcony which got the evening Sun lovely and quiet. Our widowed friend had travelled with us and was amazed at her single room which in fact had a double bed and again plenty of room with a balcony. All the staff were helpful and seemed to be happy even though they worked long hours. The only reason I haven't given 5stars is a couple of nights cushions were being removed from chairs outside about11.30 making us feel a bit uncomfortable sitting there so ended up taking drinks upstairs to our balcony. Also very strange to us that people had their dogs so be aware if you aren't a pet lover, although of course they aren't allowed in the dining room or by the pool.Overall a wonderful holiday and would return.More

Valamar Crystal

Loved this hotel, we travelled with Thomson on a package and it was very well run. Flight times and transfers are excellent out of Bristol Airport. Hotel is very clean and staff very friendly and polite. Thomson holiday rep was excellent, never tried to oversell any of the trips and actually told us what to avoid, some great advice. Nice salt water pool and some fun activities throughout the week, would definitely go back. Beaches are rocky but well set up, Porec is a +20min walk but nice because you can walk through the trees or along coast path. Nice town but can get very busy of an evening. Great that there are none of those trash english bars advertising full english, great that there are not many brits there full stop, the vast amount are german but they know how to behave. very safe and relaxing area. The photo of Beer & Burger was about 10 meters from beach and cost 6 Kuna total, only wanted a snack:-)More
