The family-friendly Valamar Crystal counts a close-to-it-all setting, a relaxing pool set-up, and lots of things to do as highlights.
This place has clinched a seafront spot in a pine forest clearing. You can walk to the ragged shoreline in a few minutes, and the Roman town of Porec is just a bit further on.
The hotel is well geared up for families, with lots of activities and separate pools for children and adults. Décor is cool and contemporary – rooms come with beech furniture and brightly painted feature walls.

The Crystal Hotel accommodation was as good as was expected. All the staff were friendly, helpful and could not do enough for their guests. The hotel food was very good and there was a good choice of starters, main courses and desserts. The only issue was that there were very few other bars or restaurant within easy walking distance but access into town was good by either a taxi costing about £10 or by water taxi or the "Noddy train". All in all a great place to stay.More

COUPLES VISIT TO POREC
We travelled as a couple with Thomson last week.. Check in etc. was efficient. Our room was on the 4th floor which was no problem for us, i would say the room was ok for size and clean and tidy . The staff were always helpful and friendly. . You had to pay for water with your evening meal, about £4 for a large bottle, although you can actually drink the tap water in Croatia, drinks in the hotel were a little expensive. The evening meal times were a little chaotic, there didn't seem to be any system to the service on arrival, and most nights we had to ask for a drinks menu. A couple of times during the week we ordered our drinks and left our table to get our food (with bags/belongings on chairs) to return and find people sat there with our drinks in front of them???? Another eve we were seated in the children's corner!! Nothing wrong with that if you have children with you but we didn't and would have preferred our meal in adult surroundings . The pool area is smaller and more tightly packed than it looks in photos but we always got a sunbed. The above comments are my general observations and areas where I didn't feel the hotel hit the 4* mark for me. The location was lovely a 15 stroll to Porec along a sea side promenade, the old town is beautiful and well worth a visit. The square is a great place to watch the world go by, great staff and service in The Central Café. There are also a couple of bars on the way, my favourite was the one opposite the little train stop which overlooked the sea and had a great view of the sunset.More

Super spot for a break,
We enjoyed a very relaxing break at this hotel. Situated on the beautiful Istrian Peninsula Coast within a short walk of Porec Town. An independent Hotel which is part of the multi hotel Valamar Resort Complex. The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good English. The food was excellent with a wide range of items available much of it freshly cooked for you. A good range of local cuisine and international fare. The hotel facilities are very good with a Salt Water Swimming Pool lovely gardens and excellent walks all around along the coast line or through the wooded parkland. Well worth a visit.More
Good hotel, but description on the website should match reality
We have a 2-year-old toddler and we have chosen this hotel because it says on the website, the hotel offers "Fully equipped children's playrooms based on the Super Maro programme". There is only one playroom and it is not in the hotel. There is only one playroom in the Maro Club, located outside the hotel and it is open from 10-12 and 15-17 in September. Also, the photos of the playrooms on the website do not match the reality. It also says on the website the outdoor pool is heated. It is not heated. It was 23 degrees outside and the children pool was 19 degrees. There was no kid in the pool. The indoor pool in the Valamar Diamant is heated, but only to 26 degrees. The benches are not heated. On the plus side, the staff was polite, the food was ok.More

Excellent services... overall evaluation is 4.5
We spent 7 nights with our 3 kids. Almost everything was excellent (food, pools, location, entartainment, etc.). The only area of improvement is the clean service of the room, especially the moquette that was not done with the vacuum cleaner and the fact that we had to ask a couple of times for the replacement of soaps and shampoos.More
