My husband and myself have just returned from our holiday at this hotel, the hotel itself was very clean, food was excellent, staff were really wonderful, they were extremely helpful and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble, rooms were cleaned daily and towels were changed daily. Food and drinks were available all day, we had a choice of Bulgarian or an Asian restaurant and an all day snack bar which on the whole was excellent. This hotel could not be faulted. Pity about Bulgaria !!!More
Not quite platinum
Just came back from staying At riu Helios 8/9/14 overall good all round 4 star hotel but don't think it deserves it's platinum status it hasn't got the wow factor that most platinum hotel have I think it's because it's crammed into a small space.
The food was possibly the best we have had in a all inclusive hotel the Thai and Bulgarian restaurants are amazing you must book these restaurants but seems no problem getting booked in,staff are very friendly throughout the hotel, bedrooms and communal areas are very clean, entertainment is ok but not great
As for the resort itself it did not inspire us very tacky reminded me of walking around a market selling knock off nike shoes and clothes there was nowhere that inspired you too go in pubs, bars and restaurants alike this resort is aimed at one group and that's 18/30 and stag and hen parties
One last word of warning if you do go to the riu Helios check your hotel room and if it's got inter connecting doors refuse the bedroom immediately as the sounds coming from the other room is very loud even normal level talking disturbs you let alone someone snoring and if you try to change the room, the manageress will not change you for other room even after repeated complaints from us and the Thomson rep this is the first time in 34 years of holidaying that I've ever made a formal complaint
There is a bit of negatiativity about this hotel but in general it's a good hotelMore

The holiday on the whole was good, expecially after going with friends that we met there last year.It was also great to see a lot of familiar faces from last year, not just the hotel staff who incidently are absolutely fantastic, but holiday makers as well. The hotel can not be faulted for it's cleanliness and very accommodating staff. The food was plentiful and there was a massive choice
sadly we felt that the standard of cooking especially the meat and fish did not match that of last year. There was great concern that people were accosted along the beach by people selling a small bunch of grapes or a meagre piece of fruit Please beware of this and ignore the beggars.Generally the people were kind and helpful. A visit tp Kahans Tent is not to be missed a magnificent evening.More
This is the worst hotel I have stayed at in a long time. Although the room was adequate it is a pity the same can not be said for the rest of the hotel. Litter around the pool area. The pools were freezing and dirty. The food well, where do I start. If you enjoy canteens, queuing then this is the place for you. It was like a wee game of guessing what it was as it did not resemble anything described on the cards. One night the meat was off!!! We ate out a lot which defeated the objective of the all inclusive! The cocktails were a sight to behold, small tumblers with lots of straws! The canteen experience extended to the ambiance of this hotel. Small tables, close to each other bright lights. After being a Riu loyalty card holder quite frankly this has changed our opinion of your hotels. Visit this hotel at your peril.More
