The Hotel Marvel gives you the best of both worlds – it’s in the laid-back part of Sunny Beach, but it’s close enough to the centre of the resort.
This hotel is pitched up on the quieter side of Sunny Beach, less than a minute’s walk from the beach. Stroll along the promenade for half an hour, and it’ll lead you all the way to the bright lights in the centre of town.
Inside, things have taken a modern turn. Bedrooms have contemporary, chocolate-coloured soft furnishings, while downstairs, the 24-hour bar has funky red and orange seats.

All that glitters is not gold
We returned home a few days ago from this Hotel, We would agree with some points made in earlier reviews BUT, the Hotel is not that bad. We found the staff to be friendly, service was OK & it was generally clean. (guests were to blame for some aspects raised in earlier reviews) - (The hotel has no control over who books in!). We found the food OK but ate out several times. The entertainment we agree was a joke, x2 guys who did not have a clue of what folks wanted. The small bars made waiting for a drink unreasonable, we went out for a drink as prices a very reasonable, as is food. However we found the "smash & grab" raids by children at meal time running between folks carrying food unacceptable. Many kids were NOT under parental control!! The last couple of days started to see male groups arrive & with that long term drinking, giving arise to much noise around the bars, this is not what we wanted, sorry Marvel. We have booked again for next year but not this Hotel.More

The hotel was very good. The all inclusive wasn't worth for the price. Me and my family were in room 524 and it had wonderful view, the lady cleaned everyday. If you have any questions seek the hotel manager Snejana or the assistant manager Nevelin. The food in the restaurant was bad and vague. One day a man with T-shirt and shorts didn't let me get a plastic cup with water for my room and I only needed it so I can take my medicine. But in Bulgaria there are some strange individuals that you can't explain were they come from, but just ignore them and enjoy your vacation.More
First time in Bulgaria!
Let's start by saying that the hotel was excellent, the rooms are big and clean, the staff at the reception was very helpful. But on the other hand the food wasn't very good. Sometimes there were even some things that were raw. And don't miss out on going in the old town of Nesebar.More
Here's the thing.........!
Here's the thing........if we had paid four figures each for this hotel, it may have been a different review, but we didn't, so,....taking that into account, it was fab value for money. We can't tell you how hard those staff work in that hotel and what long days they do, they must be shattered! A special mention for Tanya in the restaurant who smilingly cleared up hundreds of dirty plates every day and all day! The food was fine, as expected really but the chef was an absolute poppet! We didn't go for culture, fine dining or shopping but wanted a week in the sun, and some time together and so were not disappointed. For the price we paid, we would happily return.More
Marvel.. it isn't
First impressions we were impressed, they even took our cases up to the room. It was short-lived. I knew bulgarian food would be different to what I'd ate before but was going with an open mind and as long as there was enough to pick at I wasn't bothered. During the course of our stay the cutlery was never clean or had run out. The plates were always wet. The food didnt look particularly desirable. Chips were raw in the middle. Partner found raw pork and chicken and was served a uncooked egg. I was served uncooked pancakes for breakfast. You queue for something fresh off the grill and then other people push in and take what you've waited for cos the chef doesn't care. The table cloths are always filthy. The cleaners sweep under you. 2 year old daughter kept dropping food from her highchair as kids do and they would sweep it then go and talk about us in bulgarian. They called her dirty on more than occasion. The restaurant bar is rarely manned. The outside bar has one bar man. The pool bar you'll get served after they've served the woman in front of you, her entire family, her distant relatives, her neighbours.. you get the idea.. basically you wait forever. If you ask for more than one drink they don't fill them up properly. The sunbeds round the pools have stuff left on them for days at a time and its never moved. The lifts are a joke. You wait ages then someone will push in, foreign kids and men press all the buttons and get out laughing. The advertised panoramic lift is only for those on floors 7 and above. The room itself was perfect for a family sizewise. But the fridge froze everything. The shower head spat water everywhere. The plug didn't hold water in the bath. There was exposed electrical wiring. Only one electrical socket right on the other side of the room to the beds. Air con that you couldn't change the temp settings on. A balcony with nowhere to hang clothes so they blew off the side and nearly got lost. Maids would come in and just make the bed not bothering to hoover most days which isnt great with a carpet thats got sand etc on it. The beds only got changed cos I stripped them all off. Majority of hotel staff were rude. Guests were even ruder. Not worth the money. Best thing about the hotel was the fact its close to the beach, its not far to walk to flower street and the bus stop is only round the corner. Bars should have a tea and coke machine so you can help yourselves to drinks and just get served for alcohol. And staff should all go on a customer service course. The entertainment is run by two guys and it consists of dances or a quiz in bulgarian and its done in outside area which most people have gardens bigger than. Sad thing is it could actually be a really nice hotel if it was better managed.More
