2 outdoor pools
There's a choice of two huge pools here with wraparound sun terraces dotted with palm tress and plenty of sunbeds and parasols to use. One pool is where the activities take place. The other is the quiet pool, for a little R and R time.
The children's pool is not hard to find, as it's next to one of the main pools. With views over the beach and palm trees spread around for that little extra shade. The lifeguard is also around to help keep an eye on the youngsters.

Good and not so good
Good points first. The hotel is in the best location, away from all the hustle and bustle of noisy bars and tat shops, also right on the beach. Hotel is spotlessly clean has an army of cleaners day and night sweeping and cleaning all over the hotel. The bedrooms are spacious with plenty of cupboard space, comfortable beds and a good powerful shower. The restaurant was very good, a nice touch is the two free drinks you get with evening meals, beer, wine or soft drinks. Food is good quality, usual standard choices of salads and different meat dishes. Evening waitresses in the hotel bar happy and smilie.......... Now the not such good points, only a couple but worth pointing out. Wi-fi is free but next to useless no matter where you are in the hotel it doesn't connect hardly and when it does you get dis-connected almost immediately. Entertainment is poor, they have quite a few in the animation team but its the same thing day in day out no imagination put in, unless you like Zumba and water aerobics everyday, the evening entertainment was just as bad.We had one day when it rained constantly but made no effort in laying on anything to keep guests entertained. The swimming pools were absolutely freezing, I think they didn't want us to use them for some reason. Apart from the reception area the hotel looks a bit dated and could do with an uplift. We didn't particularly like Sunny beach, extremely commercialized with music blaring out from every bar and restaurant. I did enjoy the beer especially at 50p a pint. I would say the majority of the locals seem and look miserable, at times you dare not ask then anything as your likely to get a short and robust answer. One plus point is the beautiful beach. A definite visit is a boat trip which cost 10 Lev each way to Nesebar a complete contrast to Sunny beach with it's narrow cobbled streets, we visited it twice once during the day and once at night, which was really stunning. Wouldn't visit Sunny beach again. .More
So, we arrived at the hotel to a receptionist that may as well have been a robot. I understand English is not their first language but being in the hotel business this should be an essential while working on the desk. We chose not to ask reception any questions as they spent to long answering them or we did not get any more information. The hotel rooms are okay, a lot to be desired from the price we had paid for the weeks stay. The pillows were extremely lumpy and the bed was very low to the floor. We found it relatively easy to get a sun lounger by the pool some days but others we would have to put a towel out before breakfast even though this is supposed to be 'monitored' and towels 'may be' removed. I never saw this happen at all, and some beds were unused for the majority of the day for people to use once finished on the beach. I did like how there was 2 pools, one being more family orientated than the other. By the sea there was beds associated with the hotel but seemly guests received a 50% discount, however when we were asked to pay they told us otherwise and started off high and only came down to 12lev. You have to pay for each bed and the umbrella. If you go later on in the day normally there is no one there to charge you. We were half board for 7 days, so you can choose to swap a day and have food in the Bulgarian restaurant. However, we were not told this upon check in and only found out by researching ourselves. We went to book in for our last night which was a Sunday to be told they do not open then and they were fully booked until the Tuesday but we left on Monday. The food in the main restaurant was pretty mundane and they could mix it up a little something different every 2 nights. I also really disliked how water was cordoned off at dinner and it counted for 1 of your drinks tokens. You were given 2 free drinks at dinner but if you go near closing time the staff seem too busy setting up for breakfast so people just seemed to self serve. The restaurant staff were very nice and they always welcomed you in, however they did seem very shy as some had little or no english and I felt awkward for them when we asked for something. I would not visit Sunny beach again, they seem to try and squeeze any additional money out of you be it for water at dinner or the hotels sun loungers on the beach. We did spend a lot of money going to Sunny beach and assumed we would not have to incur these additional costs.More
Had the best time
We stayed here for a week. I can't fault the hotel. It's probably the cleanest hotel I've stayed in. Food was lovely and wide choice of meats and dishes everyday. Pools are huge and plenty of sun beds to go around too. Already looking at going back!!More
We spend a wonderful week in Majestic. Nice clean room, comfortable beds, wi-fi on the room. Great breakfrast with a lot different choices. The personal was very helpful when we came in contact with them. I loved the sunbeds and that the pooltowels was included in the price. The cleaningstaff did a great job. I was surprised that everything was so clean, even the toilets by the pool. I will be back next year again. More
Lovely hotel located at quieter end of Sunny Beach. Room was clean and well maintained. Rooms cleaned every day, towels changed daily if required. sheets changed weekly. Breakfast and dinner was busy but we had no issues getting tables and couldnt see anyone struggling to find tables when we were there ( July) Breakfast choice had plenty of variety. Dinner was not as good in my opinion, we ended up only eating dinner there 4 times in the two weeks but mostly because we wanted to eat out in restaurants. 2 large pools, yes cold but once in and swimming it was fine. Sunbed issue is as others have described so either get up before 8am to get a bed or go across road to fabulous beach and hire sunbed there, discount when u show your majestic card. Overall would definitely recommend Majestic hotel. More
