We know everyone’s holding their purse strings a little tighter. But, that doesn’t mean you have to miss out on a holiday. Our low deposits mean you can secure your dream break for just £75 each. And, if you’ve got little ones in tow, you’ll be pleased to know we’ve launched thousands of free child places in a range of family-friendly hotels.
We’re extending our range in the up-and- coming destination Bulgaria by introducing holidays to Varna. This north-eastern part of Bulgaria spans nearly 4,000 square-kilometres – that’s about the size of Cyprus. Scenery’s a bit of a mish-mash here, so expect to see forests, lakes, thermal springs, and even a desert. And, because most of these spots are protected, they’re almost footprint-free.
As well as knock-out landscapes, Varna serves up a mix of sandy beaches and secluded rocky coves. But, there’s plenty more to do than just top up your tan. Most of Varna’s historical sites are still in great condition because they’re carved straight into the sides of cliffs, like the 13th-century Aladzha Monastery. The region’s rich soil creates the perfect setting for vineyards, too. The speciality in these parts is white and dessert wine, and Varna’s responsible for producing a third of all of Bulgaria’s vino.
When it comes to places to stay, Grifid Encanto Beach in Golden Sands boasts a prime position by the beach, as well as top-notch food, and an impressive evening entertainment program. In the day, there’s always something going on, from volleyball to aqua aerobics. Plus, there’s an indoor and an outdoor pool, so you can take a dip whatever the weather.
They say three’s the magic number, right? Well, at Dolce Vita, you can take your pick from three pools and three restaurants. There’s an L-shaped main pool and a lap pool for serious swimmers outside, plus another indoors near the spa. At dinnertime, you can pile your plate with international food in the buffet restaurant, or, opt for a night in one of the two à la cartes. You’ll have the option of dining on traditional Bulgarian fare, or sampling exotic Asian cuisine.
We’ve added Balkan beauty Montenegro to the line-up, too. This up-and-coming European gem might only be the size of Northern Ireland, but it packs in loads of amazing scenery – over 100 beaches, plus forest-cloaked mountains and lakes. Budva is Montenegro’s most popular resort, and here you can explore pretty piazzas in the old town and a coastline full of Blue Flag beaches. Evenings are lively here, and Budva harbour is where you’ll find the vibrant bars and nightclubs.
