• Indulgence – that’s the focus of this Sensatori hotel. Everything, from the food to the rooms, the pools to the spa, is about extravagance. For starters, you get a spacious Junior Suite as standard. Each one comes with a clutch of smart extras, too – by that we mean a flatscreen TV, a DVD player, and even an in-room hot tub. You can book a Junior Suite that’s geared towards families if you prefer, or go for one with a glamorous swim-up entrance. As for what else is in store, there are four lagoon-like pools to choose from. Adults-only, activity, child-friendly – every base is covered. But the real highlight lies in the hotel’s dining scene. This is the only Sensatori hotel that offers Gourmet Inclusive. It means all your food and drink is included and the quality is taken to the next level. Expect a high-calibre collection of restaurants and seriously good food.Premier CollectionSensatori is part of Thomson’s Premier Collection, which means you’re entitled to exclusive extras like a bigger luggage allowance and priority transfers.The LocationSensatori Mexico fronts a beach in Bahia Petempich, part of the exclusive Riviera Maya. The sandy stretch features some nice little extras. Think four-poster daybeds and a beach palapa where you can perfect your sun salutations in an early-morning yoga class. A 25-minute drive north brings you to Cancun, while Playa Del Carmen is 35 minutes in the opposite direction.The Hotel and RoomsSensatori Mexico is brought to you by Azul, one of the biggest hotel names in Mexico. In terms of layout, it’s been divided into sections. There’s an adults-only quarter complete with a pool, a lounge and a restaurant. There’s a family area, too, and a premium section.
  
  Whichever section you go for, smart Junior Suites are the norm. They feature hot tubs, flatscreen TVs, DVD players and iPod docking stations. In the bathrooms, giant rainforest showerheads are among the standout points.
  
  If you’re coming away with your partner, book a standard Junior Suite. Designed for two, they’re in the adults-only section of the hotel and feature a king-size bed. You can also book a swim-up option, with a private heated whirlpool connected to the lazy river outside. If you're looking to up the ante, meanwhile, choose a suite in the premium section. You get all the Junior Suite facilities, plus extras like sparkling wine and fruit waiting when you arrive. There’s a special concierge service, too, and indulgent touches like aromatherapy and pillow menus.
  
  If you’re going away with the family, meanwhile, book a Junior Suite that sleeps 2 adults and 2 children or 3 adults and 1 child. You’ve also got the option of a Family Suite. These come with a queen-size bed as well as double and single sofa beds. Plus there’s a sliding partition to separate the sleeping areas, with a plasma TV in each. Each one has room for 2 adults and 3 children or 3 adults and 1 child.The PoolsFour pools snake their way around the grounds. One is adults-only, with a huge swim-up bar, another is for everyone and ideal for activities. Plus there’s a separate pool for children. This one is part of a splashpark complete with hoops, nets, tipping buckets and a water slide. Some have in-the-water sunbeds, while over by the adults-only pool, and also in the Premium section, Balinese daybeds provide a touch of luxury. If you opt for a Premium room, you'll also have butlers keeping guests in fresh towels, magazines and gourmet bites throughout the day.The DiningThe set-up is 24-hour Gourmet Inclusive, which means all your food and drink is included – and the quality is exceptional. There’s a choice of six restaurants, with breakfast, lunch and dinner served in different ones throughout the day. Plus, room service is available 24-hours a day.
  
  Spoon is the central venue, where you can go down the help-yourself route. In the mornings, think hot bacon and eggs, a choice of fresh fruit and pastries, and omelettes cooked to order.
  
  Then there’s Tapaz, where dishes like shrimp kebabs and crispy calamari are placed in the middle of the table for everyone to share. Zocalo, meanwhile, is the Mexican. It’s dressed the part, with cacti and a Mariachi band.
  
  Other speciality restaurants include Siena, a Tuscan-inspired trattoria, and Zavaz, a Caribbean kitchen serving everything from jerk chicken to mahi mahi.
  
  The feather in Sensatori’s culinary cap, though, is the adults-only Le Chique. Here, you’ll be served an eight-course meal combining flavours and textures we guarantee you won’t have tried before. In fact, all your food, drinks and nearly all of your activities are included as part of the package, unless otherwise indicated.The EntertainmentAt Sensatori Mexico, entertainment takes a backseat, allowing dining to take centre-stage. That said, there are some nice touches to look out for. For instance, a Mariachi band will sometimes strike up in the Mexican. When it comes to bars, special mention goes to the adults-only Mojito Lounge, which has 30 different types of mojito on its menu. The Roof Garden Lounge is the place to head for nightly shows. Finally, for the ultimate chill-out zone, there's a giant palapa complete with suspended daybeds.The Experience
