best food resort
Azul was a beautiful resort with excellent services and most of all great food. I have only one complaint that there are not enough chairs around the pools area. You just have to get up early and save your spot. Overall , its a great place.More

Another great trip!
My wife and I had another fantastic visit to Azul Fives. We have always enjoyed our time at this resort, but it was event better with the improvements and additions since my list visit. The Poolside Grill in the new area is the best lunch spot around. The Thai restaurant has a delicious menu - although the italian spot remains my favourite. They are still figuring out some operational things at the Tapas place but dined their twice; both times were delicious. As usual though, it was really the staff that sets Azul Fives apart. A few notable folks are Pedro who runs a great group tennis lesson every day at 8am, Alex who has infinite enthusiasm running entertainment and activities, Wilder and his team at the Cantina who are full of life, and Sol who always make sure our reservations and every detail is taken care of, and lastly the dozens of servers who greet you with a smile and put up with my broken spanish just because it's fun to try! Looking forward to my next visit! Bryan & CarmenMore

My family holiday
After a turbulent flight which was made all the more comfortable by travelling on the Thomson Dreamliner, it made a well welcomed change to be met by very friendly staff and by the time we had finished our welcome drink we were checked in and in our buggy on our way to our room. The room was beautiful, we had the luxury this year of being able to book a 1 bedroom suite but to our very pleasant surprise they had allocated us a roof top suite. The restaurants were excellent and the quality of food was 1st class. We chose to take our breakfast in ' La Brasserie ' which offered a really wide selection for breakfast and dare I say ( being English ) a good cup of tea.. Lunch was available in a variety of restaurants, our favourite being the Poolside Grill where my son loved the Chicken Burritos. Brilliant for families and kids alike, usual activities for younger ones, my son being 9 liked the beach football, pool volley ball etc with the advantage of quieter pools with swim up bars which you can actually get to for a quieter drink if you wanted to stay away from the beach. Met some wonderful people and guests were happy to talk and mix. My son is already pestering to go back next yearMore

Best Family Resort!
We went to Azul Fives this spring for a wedding and were pleasantly surprised. We always travel with our 2 young kids, and it always take extra effort. We loved having a 1 bedroom condo that came with things like a kids stool in the bathroom, kids toilet seat, play pen, etc! At restaurants they were accommodating to whatever our kids wanted to eat, and they always had an extra (clean) booster seat on hand. The kids club was very entertaining and fun for our girls... and what I loved was that it was not a cheesy kids resort. The food was amazing, the staff was friendly, beautiful location, we will definitely be back! Our one note is the size difference between the "new section" and the "old section". The older section had much larger 1 bedroom condo's and were much closer to the beach. Next time we will request the old section as we found the walk between the new condo's and the beach quite a long haul with little ones to do multiple times a day as we much prefer the beach to the pool (personal preference).More

Beautiful resort with privacy, but subpar restaurants
We were disappointed with the check-in procedure as well as the restaurants. There is a dress code for all restaurants, which we didn't like since we were on holidays and didn't want to dress up all of the time. The dress code is also inconsistent. For dinner, females can wear anything they want, but men cannot wear footwear with open toes...unless they have a strap on the back. However, although there is a dress code for breakfast and lunch as well, they don't adhere to it. The food was also just average. The resort itself is beautiful with lots of amenities and it is very quiet. The pool outside of our room was empty most of the time, so we had lots of privacy. If you want to be around more people and take part in activities, the main pool by the beach is the place to hang out. Overall, we were fairly satisfied.More
