This adults-only hotel leads its debut with a prime beach position and four à la carte restaurants.
Soft white sand comes to your doorstep at this beachfront hotel. There’s a relaxed vibe to the place, though it’s just 10 minutes’ drive from Montego Bay and its line-up of shops, restaurants and nightlife.
The hotel sits next door to the Riu Montego Bay and, as such, you can move between the two for bars and restaurants. When it comes to the huge pool, though, you’ll probably want to stay put.

First visit to this Hotel and it was outstanding. The Staff and management, quality of service was excellent.
The room was better than expected. Jacuzzi in room, refrigerator stocked daily. Bed turned down every night. All of the restaurants were also excellent. The Japanese restaurant was noisy, and the food there left a lot to be desired.More
The hotel's an overall joy to visit from start to finish, a lovely welcome, the staff are superb across all facets of the hotel, we met so many lovely staff I cannot mention them all. The food is excellent particularly in the main restaurant, cleanliness is utmost throughout the resort and there is always something to do with the entertainment team, if you wish to engage in activities or not. The evening entertainment is enjoyable, but if you want a quieter time go to the lobby bar , sit back music and entertaining bar staff. The beach is spotlessly clean and you get a good service from the staff there throughout the day, even the security have a chat and give you a lovely welcome. You can use the amenities of the Montego Bay and Riu Reggai for shows and some eateries, but we found the Riu Palace to be of a better standard.More
Recently returned from a 5 night stay and I am so relaxed. A group of us stayed at the Palace as we were celebrating 3 June birthdays. I had a sea view room and I got lucky because it was on the 3rd (top) floor directly facing a pool and beach, so I did not have to look at an angle to see the beach, it was straight ahead. The food was good, although I tended to eat at the buffet for most meals. The other restaurants were small with limited seating so that was something to keep in mind when planning for dinner. No reservations either. Was disappointed with the desserts. They looked good but were mostly dry and not sweet. The drinks were your typical all-inclusive drinks - watered down or weak. The liquid marijuana drink was good and a bartender in the Vogue bar experimented with a rum-inspired drink, which was good but for the most part I had mimosas because everything else was a waste of calories. The Aqua bar was 24 hours which was great. The snacks there were decent as well. Room service was ok in a pinch but not a wide selection. The rooms were clean with a nightly turndown service. My room had a curtain available to separate the tub/bathroom from the bedroom but my friends' rooms didn't. We did a shopping tour but I would not do that one again. The bus stopped at 3 places which had your typical souvenirs which you can get from the airport. I wanted a more local experience so I would have preferred to hire a private car to take us shopping. As a guest of the Palace, we had access to the other 2 properties. My friends were told that we only could eat at the buffets, not the other restaurants on those properties but I was not told that so not sure what is correct. The planes - you WILL hear them so if anyone says you won't, they have been smoking, lol. You may stop paying attention but you definitely hear them as the airport is not quite 2 miles away so those leaving MBJ fly over the resort. Water aerobics with Cash was fun and he kept us entertained. It was never crowded so you could get a chair at one of the 3 pools or the beach. No need to lay your towel out at 7am for a seat. While you could eat on the beach, the servers only took drink orders, so you had to go to get your own food. I have experienced this twice at different resorts in Jamaica so not sure if it's their rules or what (did not experience this in Cancun). Overall, I would stay there again or another Riu property.More
Riu Palace was a very nice hotel. Ive been to The two next door, Reggae and Montego Bay. Palace is the fanciest and very laid back in terms of entertainment. I found most of the staff not as friendly as Reggae. The entertainment staff, the bell hop and the pool towel staff were the kindest!! I would stay here again over the others, only because i can patron the other two facilities as a guest of the Palace. More
Stylish Reggae Hotel
Riu Reggae is 1 of 3 side by side Toy hotels less than 10 minutes from the airport. This means you get used to every jet taking off and banking over the beach before heading out. Not distracting unless there's a show on. The hotel looks great and the staff are fantastic. Polite and helpful from getting off the bus right until we left. This is a truly international place with lots of Americans, British, Italian, to name a few. It's adult only but that doesn't mean it has an adult theme, as guests ranged in age from 18 to over 60's. Entertainment was mixed, comedy and theme nights, beach and pool parties, and the resident entertainment crew were skilled and full of too much energy. You can also use the Riu Montego Bay facilities whilst staying here, bigger and noisier and full of kids, but a larger gift shop and a nightclub. Gift shop prices are comparative with outside shops, they just lack the range. However, I found it was much cheaper to get booze and spirits from the airport (yep, I found out after I bought). Your tour rep will sort any excursions out for you, but they also have a tour desk in the hotel which has a wider range of offers but not always cheaper. Taxis are available at agreed rates from the main desk. Advice: take American dollars. Jamaican exchange is poor and everything is priced USD anyway. We spent 11 nights here and enjoyed it thoroughly. I've been to the island many times and this has been my best experience yet. Would I return, yes but not straight away. Why did I give it 4 and not 5 stars? No reason except I've been to better. Nothing wrong with this place at all.More
