An introduction to Starfish Trelawny

Set in an away-from-it-all spot, eight kilometres from the nearest town, Starfish Trelawny - to be known as Breezes Trelawny from 1.11.09 - edges a turquoise bay which puts a three-mile sweep of sand right on your doorstep. As you’d expect, this waterside setting comes with a side-order of watersports like kayaking and windsurfing.

And watersports are just the beginning. All the usual things to do - like tennis, basketball and mini-golf – stack up here, but top of your ‘to-do’ list will probably be things like sumo-wrestling, rock climbing and trying out the flying trapeze. Kids can even learn circus skills like juggling while they’re here.

The pool scene is impressive, too. There are four glossy stretches of turquoise to choose from, including a family number with everything from slides and fountains to in-the-water pool tables. There’s also an adults-only pool with a swim-up bar and a slide that’s strictly for grown-ups. Plus there are three hot tubs tucked away in the gardens – perfect if you’re after some quiet time.

Inside, meanwhile, they’ve kept things simple without skimping on style. The lobby is a huge vaulted space with funky multi-coloured chandeliers and a floor of mosaic-inlaid marble. And the bedrooms are all about pared-down Jamaican chic, with soft furnishings in bright tropical shades and in-room extras like CD players and cable TVs.

We been to stsarfish twice now . i love it over there . people are so friendly over there . the entertainment crew are great with the kids . i must say Anton and Kevan Are the best with kids .. we are goin back to starfish again in august to get some... more on this review
