Beautiful, clean and great location
I was a little nervous when I saw that it was a budget hotel, but after reading all of the great reviews I figured it would be fine and it was more than fine - it was wonderful. All of the rooms face the ocean with private balconies - stunning views. The room was super clean and I loved the decor - tropical but classy. The shower had great water pressure and stayed hot for all three guests. The staff was super friendly and the location cannot be beat. It's right in the middle of St. Lawrence Gap, so you step out the door and have your choice of all the great restaurants around. I took a bubble away for two reasons: first, while the bartender was a delight, it would take about 10 minutes each time to get a drink even without anyone else waiting for one. Second, everything at the hotel and around St. Lawrence gap is priced in Barbados dollars ($2 to the US $1), so when we decided to utilize the hotel's airport shuttle for $25, we figured it was Barbados dollars, but when we go to the airport the driver was like um no it's USD. At the start of the trip, we had taken a taxi from the airport to the hotel and that was $16 USD, so figured it'd make sense that the hotel offered a cheaper service, but not so. Basically I would just suggest taking a taxi over their shuttle service.More

A lovely hotel
Rooms were spacious and very clean. There is a small bar with a lovely bartender. The Harlequin Restaurant was outstanding - the best grilled fish ever, as well as amazing cocktails! There is a small beach in front of the hotel, but we found it a bit rough, so we went to Dover Beach (a 5 minute walk) - lots of fun there! The hotel organised a lot of tours for us, at a good price. We didn't find the hotel area too noisy - actually we got good quality sleep there. Thank you, everyone at Rostrevor, for a wonderful holiday!More
Budget friendly hotel in a great location. Rooms were very spacious and bright with double door balcony overlooking the pool and ocean. We were on the 3rd floor. All the rooms at this hotel face the ocean. It could be a bit noisy at night from the bars but we just kept the balcony doors open and the sound of the ocean drowned out any other noise. There is just a tiny beach area but a 2 minute walk bigger beaches in both directions. Very nice pool and surrounding area. Lots of bars and restaurants nearby but off of the main road and away from traffic. There is a poolside restaurant open till 6 and a wonderful place for dinner called Harlequins.More
Rostrevor is one of the most well thought of hotels in Barbados they offer a good service in a relaxing environment. The staff are excellent and very attentive with a can-do hands on approach. My only concern is that the restaurant could do with more variety of menu options also offer a longer closing time. There are plenty of eating options in a stone throw away but sometimes it's nice to eat where you are staying. Other than that it one of my top 10 hotels to stay at whilst visiting Barbados.More
