Can't wait to go back!
We have just returned from Accra Beach Hotel and spa and can't rate this hotel enough! This is our second visit to the hotel and fifth visit to the island. We are already planning to return to this hotel next year. I travelled with my husband and two children aged 5 and 9. The hotel is close to local amenities including, a pharmacy, doctors, pizzeria and juice bar to name but a few however as you walk through the hotel doors and look up it is this view that gives this hotel the wow factor. The picture post card view is what you go to Barbados for and you certainly get it at Accra. There have been some impressive changes to the hotel since last year. The main one being the new bar which is situated right next to the beach. We enjoyed many an early evening bite to eat with the children and the weekend live music really captures the Caribbean sunset. Also the food has improved from last year and we didn't have any complaints last year! I would recommend the Pacifika restaurant which is within the hotel and beats hands down the other popular restaurants in this area of Barbados that we have visited. The big plus for us is this hotel is so child friendly and can't do enough to make sure the kids are happy. There is a fantastic kids club! Over the Easter break there were four full days of activities to keep the little ones busy, from kite flying to pool games to movies later in the day. On a normal day the club is open in the morning and later in the afternoon and offers a wide variety of activities for all ages on a drop in basis. This hotel is exceptionally clean. The rooms are spacious and provide everything you need. I would recommend an ocean view room for obvious reasons! There are three bars in this hotel including a swim up bar and each one has happy hour at different times! There is also service by the pool if you really can't get off your lounger! There are some fabulous staff at this hotel. We got to know Suresh the hotel manager who is always visible and cannot do enough for his guests. Dwight is one of the most friendly efficient people we have ever met in a hotel. Lisa and Nicole at the kids club are lovely and can't do enough to keep the kids happy. Candice and Cornelia at the omelette counter continue to provide some of the best eggs we have ever eaten. Yes as ever there are some staff that could smile more but these are by far in the minority. This hotel ticked all the boxes for us. We have returned home relaxed and refreshed.More
lovely hotel in the middle of everything ended up coming back with free upgrade
stayed here for 3 days before going to St Vincent. I enjoyed it so much I ended up leaving st Vincent and coming back to this hotel. hotel is a bit dated but for the price I think its value for money. the newer part of the hotel is really nice, I was upgraded to ocean view suite which was amazing. never ate their as I thought it was extremely expensive however the restaurant are plentiful in the area. The beach is beautiful but be careful of the waves as they nearly took me out one afternoon. st Lawrence gap is a $2 bus ride away which is convenient also. I would happily come back here.More
Check in was slow and room was not ready at 4.30 pm. Staff not very warm and welcoming and did not preauthorize credit card for meals and other charges. Hence next morning I could not charge breakfast to my room. That was very embarrassing and took 15 minutes to fix.More

Accra beach resort
The hotel is situated in an area convenient to all. Lots of amenities around and is very easily accessible. The Rooms are just contemporary and quite comfortable. The pools are very inviting. Only thing if you're going as a couple the pool area is a general area which doesn't offer much privacy if that's what you're looking for as well! I ordered room service breakfast and was great!!! Generally the hotel is ideal for families with children or groups. More
Great property! Jamal is THE BEST!
We booked Accra trough a JetBlue vacation package and I was a little hesitiant since the reviews on here were mixed. But it turned our great! I was expecting an older hotel, not a a brand new 5-star Sandals...so make sure your expectations are on par. The room was spacious, clean and inviting. We arrived early around 11:30am and they let us check in right away. Jamal gave us the best advice all weekend long, including where to go see the turtles if you don't want to spend money on a catamaran tour, the best spots for local food and places to stop when you're driving around the island. He is fantastic and always had a smile on his face. One night we were having a nightcap at the bar by the beach, and Dwight from Pacifica went above and beyond our expectations. The night was so beautiful that we didn't want to spend it indoors, so he delivered our dinner to the beach side bar! Give Accra a shot. Its more reasonable than any other hotel I found on the island.More
