With a beachside location and ocean-front deck and pool, the Butterfly Beach has definitely been designed with relaxation in mind.
Impressive views are easy to come by at the Butterfly Beach – it’s bordered by impossibly white beaches and turquoise waters. Plus, a ten-minute walk will take you to the little village of Oistins.
The hotel’s interiors are smart and contemporary. Take the bedrooms – they’re dressed in confetti-coloured pastels, and come with extras like air-conditioning and balconies.

Butterfly Beach hotel
Checking in was easy, we was impressed with the welcome that we received, having stayed here some years ago. All the staff was friendly and helpful. This is a lovely 3* hotel, situated overlooking a small beach and the fabulous turquoise ocean. Yes, it could do with a lick of paint in places, but as other reviewers have commented before; this is a really pleasant, informal and chilled out hotel. Not 5 star, but you aren't paying 5 star prices. The rooms are charmingly simple in Caribbean style and very clean. Return clientele that speaks volumes of this hotel, and how you are treated by staff working here. We were on the bed & breakfast basic it was relaxed affaire with either continental or full cooked buffet, juice, toast, cake, or a good supply of tea or coffee. The staff are attentive and friendly. and were very well looked after. IF, we were in at lunchtime, the Roti Man next door was wonderful selection, is other guests will confirm. Which serves Roti of your choice? They are extremely cheap on the beers. Also, try bar 1, right across the road where Ian and Christine the owners makes you very welcome. For the evening meal there was plenty of choice, there is Oistins is 10 minutes away, while and St Lawrence Gap is 10 minutes away in other direction. Use the Reggae buses if you like loud music â they are brilliant fun and only $2 a trip, or there proper buses you can take. Every day at 5pm at was happy hour with BOGOF, Buy One gets one free that seemed while popular for some reason. We only ate twice that the hotel, once was the first night when the first arrived, the other was barbeque night with Steel Pan music and Managerâs Rum Punch Party with free rum punch, both times, we dined outside on the terrace only yards from the seashore. The pool area was clean and spacious, not crowded and there was a private gate onto the beach, which was stunning! The aircon worked well and kept the room at a comfortable temperature. Great little onsite shop with very reasonable prices for gifts, no need to shop anywhere else. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would definitely return sometime in the future.More
Stayed for a week end February 2016. Decided to upgrade to half board before we went, so pleased we did the food was amazing. Room basic but spotlessly clean as was the whole hotel. Not really a pool person but we did have 1 day round there unfortunately all the shade had been reserved by breakfast so husband burnt so we hired a car the rest of the week and explored the island and visiting their amazing beaches.More
Back again to see all the same friendly staff, like returning to an extended family. The rooms are again clean, and whilst fairly basic we have separate en-suite with shower, toilet & wash-hand basin. In the room is a small sink, kettle, toaster & 4 ring hob cooker (no grill, oven or microwave). Great location, handy for busses all over the Island, particularly the South & West coasts, plus walking distance from Oistins where we have bought both a cooked fish meal & also bought fresh raw fish to pan-fry in our room. Next door is a great little Roti shop & across the road is a great Chinese so no shortage of affordable dining options. Hopefully the prices stay low & Sterling appreciates against the US Dollar, before next years trip!More
Home from home at a reasonable price
This was our 4th stay here but we hadn't been for 2 years so didn't know if things had changed. A few reception staff had changed since our last visit, they were all friendly, helpful and knowledgeable and we were given all relevant information when we checked in. Room was as usual Bajan style with huge bed and nice balcony, fridge, kettle and electric rings with plenty equipment. The same people were working in the restaurant/bar which says something about their employer and they always remember you. Some of them have been there years. Happy hour 12-1pm and 5-6pm is always popular but we did miss Carib beer which they'd stopped stocking. The managers party on a Monday is an excellent way to speak to the staff and enjoy the rum punches and fish balls. We only ate here this time for the barbecue which is good value for 55BD$. The fish was lovely. The location is great with entrance to the beautiful beach. There's a couple of bars within a few hundred yards and Oistins is a 20 min walk where you can find a bank and supermarket plus the fish fry.More
We have just returned from a lovely weeks holiday at Butterfly Beach (Room 219) Room was more than adequate, double bed was huge, ceiling fan and air con worked well. Restaurant food was lovely, cocktails were very tasty. Only disappointment for me was we paid an extra £100 for a superior ocean view room, unfortunately view was obstructed by large palm tree. When I complained to reception staff member he wasn't very helpful and told me to take it up with hotel manager the following day. We decided not to take complaint any further, but would advise if you're paying extra for superior ocean view request a room towards the top of the hotel to ensure you can see past the trees!!!More
