Dr. Doolittle eat your heart out. This brilliant wildlife park has more birds, fish and creatures than the animal academic could ever chat to. Set in a desert canyon near Maspalomas, it’s got a roll call of residents that will impress everyone, large and small. See orangutans swinging between branches. Toucans tapping on fruit husks. And Komodo dragons basking on boulders. Just follow the footpaths through the palms, rocks and cacti and you’ll find them - all living in replica natural habitats or large enclosures. Some of the highlights include free-flying bird shows where you can see eagles perform their amazing aerial acrobatics and watch colourful parrots and macaws as they walk tightropes and play funny tricks. There’s also a stunning new reptile house and a tropical river teeming with over 4,000 fluorescent fish. Oh, and you can even wander through beautiful orchid and cactus gardens as well. Exciting and educational stuff.
