This hotel has a VIP feel – it’s only accessible by boat, and its other-worldly surroundings look like a set from Leonardo Di Caprio’s The Beach.
The Centara Grand Beach Resort And Villas Krabi sidles up to a secluded beach, where the bone-white sands are lapped by bright-turquoise waters. The limestone karsts dotted offshore add to the postcard-worthy vistas.
Rooms combine traditional Thai style with modern features. You can choose between ocean-view rooms, couples’ suites and private villas. Some of the rooms have their own plunge pool, too.

Expensive & Trapped
I didn't stay here but visited friends staying here. The monkey trail is an adventure once, tedious every time after that. Definitely not suitable when with young children. Centara do offer a speed boat round to the main pier in Ao Nang but it needs to be booked in advance and of course it's pretty busy during peak hours. What I couldn't get over was the cost of the bar. Higher prices that you'd pay in London for drinks that are worse than you can get at the 79 THB stall in the market. Truly mind blowing how bad and expensive they were, clearly looking to capitalise on the fact their customers are effectively trapped in their private resort. I've stayed in plenty of Centara's over the years and the rooms didn't impress me at all. It's a nice space they built the resort in for sure but the resort isn't to the standard I'd expect from Centara Grand. It was no different to the resort I was staying in further up the strip for a 1/4 of the price.More

First trip to Thailand
The hotel was lovely and the breakfast was very good and you wanted for nothing. We definitely chose the right beachside hotel for staying near ao nang beach. The monkey trail was no problem; in fact it was great to have some exercise at the end of the day. It is not good for small children or anyone who has difficulty climbing stairs. I am so glad it was there because getting the boat from the hotel into town would have been too much of a palaver for me. The restaurants were very good but be warned alcohol is very expensive in the hotel. So if you are on a budget and you drink a lot be warned! if you venture into ao nang then everything is a lot cheaper.More
My old favorite!!!!
We still here leaving on sunday. I get very upset when I see bad reviews as this is our 18th time to Thialand and this is the BEST resort honestly. They have the best views the best food, the best transport system to get to town and back for free. The best mini bar the best spa the everything. This is monkey Valley and you are in thier space. They can not kill the poor things so they give the best advice on how to to tease or feed and how to keep your stuff locked up. Keep your children away from them as they two have babies they are caring and if they feel you going to harm them then they will attack you so stay away............we love this place they kind gentle people and always try and help as much as they can. We will be backMore

Beautiful place to wind down and relax for a few days.
We had an excellent 3 day stay and would have liked to stay a bit longer. We got an higher level room with large balcony, Jacuzzi and a great view. And an upgrade to club room as part of the Centara 1 Card program. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room and surroundings are kept nice and clean. Monkeys visited us on a daily basis and even swim in our Jacuzzi (hotel should consider to provide a cover when jacuzzy is not in use as we had to change the water each time the monkeys came in the jacuzzy). The shuttle service is excellent The staff are very friendly and helpful .The manager Jujube at the Lotus court was a real angel and very efficien her staff Gift , New , Nin , Bo went out of their way to make us comfortable , we were thoroughly spoilt and pampered by them. We will be definitely be back.More
