The adults-only Couples Sousse is set about halfway between the centre of Sousse and the pretty harbour town of Port El Kantaoui, which means you’ve got a string of restaurants and bars less than a 5-minute drive in either direction. The property still feels tucked away, though. It’s half-hidden by palms and has a private curve of sand.
The hotel has been extensively refurbished for summer 2013 and the redesign has been done with Arabian Nights in mind – a collection of 18th-century folk tales that inspired the Aladdin and Sinbad movies. You’ll see romantic, Persian-style influences everywhere you look. Think crisp white walls, curved ceilings, and swooping archways that open out to peaceful gardens and the hotel’s swimming pool.
At dinner, you can choose between a buffet restaurant serving international dishes, and a pair of à la cartes - a Mediterranean and an Indian. You can try local favourites like couscous stews and fresh fish here.

Fantastic, romantic getaway!
This hotel was brilliant, my boyfriend and I stayed here for our first holiday together, the staff were brill the beach was lovely, we even went on some of the excursions which were nice deffo recommend the Zulu one, the staff could not do enough even ironed my boyfriends shirt with 30 minutes notice all for 4 dinar! You will not be disappointed with this hotel range of food was lovely liked the beach bar for lunch the entertainment was ok some nights better than others, water sports were great even though it was at an extra cost, and the black and white night topped the holiday! Make sure to get some pictures taken by the photographer good quality and reasonable price! More

Could be better!!
There is an awful lot they need to work on before this hotel is up to scratch! That said, we did actually enjoy it. Room problem sorted within three hours, it was clean and good bathroom, fab beach, plenty of loungers, food was nice not great for veggies but you wont starve!! Entertainment was good. They try at least! The reason this was a low mark was because a few of the staff are less then happy to be here! I dared to mention this once before and they tracked me down and sent me abbussive messages! So be stay there if you get a bargain, you will have a good time, but when you have had enough off the ott stuff dont mention it on here!!More

We stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in September, we were really looking forward to it as the pictures looked amazing & it was sold to us as a newly fully refurbished hotel.. Our bedroom was nice enough, though unfortunately dispite booking a double bed in the room, we were given two single beds pushed together! The wardrobes smelt very fusty too, which was very off putting and made it feel dirty. Our bathroom was the icing on the cake, it had a huge crack through the ceiling, which had some filler messily scraped over it, there was mould in the bathroom tiles, the toilet was so close to the wall that you had to sit sideways, our bath was cut in 1/3 so 1/3 you could stand in to shower and the rest was cemented - never seen anything like it ever!! As we didn't get in to our room until 3am we decided to sleep and complain in the morning, once we did we were moved to a different room - which was a slight improvement as no cracks in ceiling, less mould &'could just aboutbsitbon the toilet facing forward, but it had a full bath! We did meet a couple at the hotel and looked in their room - it wasvso different to ours, dispite paying for the same room type! The food choice was limited & we didn't manage to get a reservation in the al la carte so can't comment. The cocktails tasted like they were made with squash, rather then juice so didn't taste nice, though my husband enjoyed the beer. The staff were very nice & the manager was brilliant, he said they were planning on refurbishing the bathrooms overbthevwinter season, so hopefully it will improve for other guests as some rooms like ours were much below standard. Regards the sun beds, we didn't have a problem getting two together even after breakfast at 9ish.More

Me and my boyfriend went to this hotel for a week in August'13 and thought it was absolutely brilliant!! The staff were so friendly and helpful, they are always making sure your having a fab time and if you do have any problems they will not hesitate to help you out and sort the problem. Most of them also speak very good English. The room was a good size and always very clean. Couples Sousse is also situated in a lovely and safe location. The food was also very tasty and they did a themed night every night including French, Spanish, Tex Mex, Tunisian and Deep Blue Sea. You also get 1 free night at their Indian Restaurant which is situated inside the hotel, which was OK but wasn't the best Indian I had ever tasted, it was a lot spicier than our Indian food and I do NOT do spicy food! Every night there was something different for entertainment which included watching a movie on the beach, a bonfire on the beach, belly dancers, fire eaters and there was even a English Acoustic band playing which were amazing. The only bad thing I would say about this hotel is that there is a Tunisian man how works here always wanting to take pictures of you and he makes you do these awful poses with your partner. You may find there are a few Tunisian men at this hotel trying to sell you things such as camel rides and going on quad bikes. You will be told about all the excursions when you have your meeting with your rep and if any of those things do interest you, you can book it through your rep and not through the Tunisian man - I think it may be abit safer! We had never been to Tunisia before so we didn't know what to expect. One thing I would say is to watch out for the porters at the airport! They just snatch your bags right out your hands and demand a tip whether its Dena or Pounds. So keep hold of your bags and just say NO! Overall a Brill hotel and I would defiantly go again!More
