This hotel is right on the beach. It has a Thomson Kids’ Club, and three pools to pick from, too.
This huge hotel has nabbed a secluded spot, on the edge of a sandy beach. It’s geared around families – there’s a pool with colourful waterslides, and a pool just for kids. A Thomson Kids’ Club is the icing on the cake.
If you fancy exploring, it’s less than 30 minutes’ drive to Sousse’s medina and souk, and around the same distance to buzzing Monastir.
Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. One visit per person per stay to either the Tunisian or Indian à la carte restaurant.
Selected local-brand alcohol, soft drinks, tea and coffee.
Snacks at set times.
Designed for 3 to 11 year olds, Thomson Kids’ Club offers 2 hours of activities, 5 or 6 days a week. And that includes at least 3 evenings. It’s split into sections, with Tots for 3 to 5 year olds, Team for 6 to 8s, and Tribe for 9 to 11s. Best of all, most kids’ clubs activities are completely free. And outside of peak season, there are parent and toddler sessions 3 days a week, too. For your peace of mind, all Thomson Kids’ Club staff have advance DBS checks and hold NVQ Level 2 childcare qualifications. They’re First Aid trained, and there’ll be at least 2 of them on duty at all times.
These stylish modern interconnecting double rooms with their colourful feature walls and complementary soft furnishings sleep up to two adults and one child. You'll need to book two of these room types to get two rooms with a connecting door.

We stayed here last year for one week and I have to say excellent hotel. The onsite water park is brilliant. On the Beach so best of both worlds. Food was good, hard to get served drinks at meal times but staff lovely and helpful.More
Ignore the false negative reviews ;)
We have visited this resort 3 times - the first time on opening day 2013 - I reviewed it honestly back then and will do now as I'm concerned about the negative comment and endless amount photographs that have been recently posted - really over the top I feel and I know exactly where these pictures have been taken and feel some do not give a true picture of this hotel - some of which are not even in public areas.
Please read back to the endless positive reviews on this hotel aswell as researching the FB page run by guests offering very helpful info to families.
I feel it is a shame to scare people with poor inaccurate comments and photos who are eagerly awaiting to go on a holiday with their families when the hotel is brilliant in so many ways!
Rant over ....... Enjoy your holidays ........ I'm sure you will love Skanes Family Resort :)More

Defo going back.
Went here for one week at the end of August and really enjoyed it. A great place for families and lots for everyone to do. Food was much better than I had anticipated and my 9 year old ate loads every day. Booked for 2 weeks this year and can't wait to go back.More

Really not good. Choose a different resort!
Firstly, one of the main factors that contributed to us choosing this resort was the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. We disregarded the bad reviews and put them down to the odd bad experience or picky customers. We were wrong to do this.
After speaking to quite a few people there over the time we were there, including some of the Thomson reps, we found that many others were not happy with the resort either but said they probably would not be bothered to complain. I really wish more people would do so as to provide others with a more accurate picture.
Don't get me wrong, you may love the resort if your standards are quite low and are looking to get plastered on cheap, watered down booze every night, whilst your children run riot due to lack of quality entertainment or facilities, but most people with average / good standards will find this resort to be very poor.
We now honestly wish we had listened to the bad reviews and chosen a different Holiday resort. The overwhelming amount of issues this place has cannot possibly be adequately summed up in words.
I would also like to point out that we complained to Thomson and the Hotel several times about the many issues whilst there, which were not addressed correctly and many completely ignored. We have also raised an official complaint with Thomson / TUI, but as others may have already found, they are not interested once they have your money, and unless they feel a lawsuit will cost them too much money, they will fob you off indefinitely with generic non-sense replies from people whom I can only assume are robotic, mindless pawns in the Thomson / TUI machine.
There was very little good about the resort, bar a few nice people and staff, the beach, the pools and the slides⦠and of course, the weather, but everything else was well below par.
Iâm not going to list everything because it would be a very long read, so take a look at some the pictures (there are many more but got to 50 and couldn't add any more) and make your own mind up about whether you want to risk it or not.
We honestly wouldn't go there again, even if the whole trip was free.
