This hotel is right on the beach. It has a Thomson Kids’ Club, and 3 pools to pick from, too.
This huge hotel has nabbed a secluded spot, on the edge of a sandy beach. It’s geared around families – there’s a pool with colourful waterslides, and a pool just for kids. A Thomson Kids’ Club is the icing on the cake.
If you fancy exploring, it’s less than 10 minutes’ drive to Sousse’s medina and souk, and around the same distance to buzzing Monastir.
Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner. One visit per person per stay to either the Tunisian or Indian à la carte restaurant.
Selected local-brand alcohol, soft drinks, tea and coffee.
Snacks at set times.
Designed for 3 to 11 year olds, Thomson Kids’ Club offers 2 hours of activities, 5 or 6 days a week. And that includes at least 3 evenings. It’s split into sections, with Tots for 3 to 5 year olds, Team for 6 to 8s, and Tribe for 9 to 11s. Best of all, most kids’ clubs activities are completely free. And outside of peak season, there are parent and toddler sessions 3 days a week, too. For your peace of mind, all Thomson Kids’ Club staff have advance DBS checks and hold NVQ Level 2 childcare qualifications. They’re First Aid trained, and there’ll be at least 2 of them on duty at all times.
2-bedroom superior swim-up room sleeps up to 6 with 1 double bed and a TV in the first bedroom, 2 child beds and a TV in the second bedroom and 1 or 2 child beds or sofa-beds in the lounge as required.
Were just on our final day stay at the resort. On arrival to the airport there was some bother with filling in forms that should have been provided on flight so try and request this on board rather than finding somewhere to sit and fill in on the airport and avoid ques!... Also one thing that is not mentioned is that you have to purchase a stamp to exit the country on return this is 30 DNR per person and you can only purchase at the airport!... Room was great on arrival very clean with seperate partitian for the kids but cosy and close enough to keep an eye on them! We had room 1022... No sea view but close to reception and lobby/reception and resort shops!.. Sun pretty much all day so preety much outweighed sea view for us!... Be careful buyinh from the gift shop on resort and the beach as they really do try and rip you off first but haggling will give you the best price in the end!...only local ATM is the airport that is 10 min walk up the road taxi drivers try to harrass to give u a lift but the walk is very easy one straight road!.. Pool areas clean only thing that felt uncomfortable was how empty the hotel is getting as close to closing for season on 2nd November... Dont miss the kids entertainment, its great!More

Wouldn't visit skanes family resort again
Travelled as a family of 3, the food was good, the beach was lovely and the people were nice especially the bar staff, special mention to Ralph at the quiet pool and the guys in the lobby bar... Oh and a lovely lady in the restaurant who always remembered what drinks we have, didn't get her name, but always served at lunch time on the right side as you walk in. That's as far as good goes.
Now for the bad... (And we are usually laid back)
How people can say it's clean I do not know?? They don't clean the dining tables, just brush off crumbs, re used dirty cups and the plates were often still bitty from not washing very well.
The toilets... women's were disgusting, every single one of them and especially the ones near the quiet pool.
They were either broken ... With water coming out the flusher as you pressed... Hands Ewww, blocked or just had a vile smell.
Sunbeds are filthy! Only takes a hose down to clean them.
The pool guys were throwing straight chlorine (noting the PH on recording paper before doing it not after) .. 1kg if not more, in the pool as people were swimming, we were about to get in and it gets thrown straight in front us on the steps, dangerous stuff! We'd rather not be frazzled. Pool guy got questioned by us only for him to turn round and say it's perfectly safe, after further questioning he turns round and says he doesn't speak English?! It's only safe after a few hours of it settling...
Thompson reps were questioned if it was normal and were informed straight after but they weren't bothered in the slightest. In fact they lied too, saying it's perfectly normal, when pointing out after that my husband is qualified in this, a bright red face and a pathetic apology for lying came afterwards.
Mini disco.... Worst mini disco we've ever been too, and we go abroad twice a year! My son couldn't get into it, aged 6, it's more of a shabby show and the reps dancing than getting the kids involved.
Airport going home... Remember... Your not allowed to take Tunisian money in and out the country, and this is proven as the security guy on departure asked what money we had, we said it was English and he still insisted on checking so he got husbands wallet and checked all his money. They will confiscate Tunisian dinar. Pretty scary as we had quite an amount of sterling... What if they had took that off us... Couldn't of done anything could we? We know for next time we visit Tunisia... NOT skanes family resort.More

Good Family Holiday Had By All.
Got back on Sunday afternoon after a week in the Skanes. Found it to be clean and tidy with a wide selection of food. The local beer is not the best but what can you ask for.
I would recommend this place to anyone. Thompson reps were a good laugh and always there to help.
