The Sensimar Medina Gardens is in an unbeatable location in the heart of Marrakech, plus it's all wrapped up in traditional Moroccan good looks.
This place has one of the best addresses in Marrakech, It’s on the doorstep of Jemaa el-Fna square, which means you’re only 5 minutes’ walk from the souks, restaurants and food stalls.
A lot of the original Arabic features have stayed put, including a 200-year-old tower, but the whole place has been given an injection of contemporary style.

Me & my partner stayed at this hotel for 7 days at the start of June. Couldn't fault this place at all, from start to finish the staff were pleasant and friendly. Very central hotel, close to the new city and the old city of Marrakech. Clean room & clean facilities. There was plenty of choice of food so everyone would find something to eat at meal times. Definitely would return & recommend to my family and friends.More
Average hotel but good food
Nice looking hotel, staff not that great and not very service focused. We asked for the balcony door to be fixed 3 times then gave up, and when we asked reception if we could move to another room on the other side of the hotel to try to lessen the extremely loud prayer call that starts EVERY morning at 4.45am and goes on for up to 1 hour, they just laughed and said it would cost £150 yet make no difference as there are mosques with loud outdoor speakers all around the hotel. Rooms small, not that well maintained but overall not bad, 3 star at most. Being so central is a bonus, the downside for us was the very early prayer call, so unless you are a deep sleeper or follow the religion you'll get little sleep which could be an issue for some. Food was always very good and well presented, a lot of options, could not be faulted. Love the baby tortoise in the gardens.... More
Supprised how good this hotel is
We booked this hotel through Thomson but chose to use BA flights due to Thomson flights being silly o clock times. The transfer was as if we had a private transfer each way On arrival we checked in very quickly and given our room, which was a good surprise after reading the reviews, it was clean, without peeling paint and some of the nasty things in previous reviews, maybe we were just lucky. Throughout our stay we found every member of the hotel staff would go out of their way to make sure we were having all we needed, and we were enjoying our stay. What we found good was the fact you had plenty of sunbeds, even though some British guests thought they were German every morning, saving beds even when they went out, but the hotel has so many spare beds, even some stored ready, and they had 4 poster beds in the grounds with canopies so you could 'Get up and go to bed' if you wished. We were surprised by the age range of the clients. The food, that we had, was excellent, always fresh, varied and refilled up to the end of the sitting, no need to rush and stock up as some guests did. The previous reviews may have been talking in a different hotel but when we stayed you could not honestly fault it for effort. One minor point I raised with the hotel was to have a coffee after our meal instead of going to the bar for one. For the money we all pay to stay here you get more than any other hotel offers for this sort of price. We have stayed in better grade hotels around the world, paid more and received less that what is on offer at this hotel. The location is great as you do not have to get a taxi or have a long walk to get to look around the city, as with some hotels further out do.More
Lovely hotel in a great location
We stayed here for a week at the beginning of May and had a great holiday. We read the reviews before booking and were a little uncertain of what to expect - but please don't be put off of booking, it is a great place! The food was great - some people complain about lack of choice / temperature of food etc. but we did not encounter any issues. There was always a good selection of different foods available; salads, Moroccan dishes, grilled meats, pasta bar and the slightly less inspired pizza and chips (although I hate to admit that the pizza was delicious!). Lots of desserts on offer - I would strongly recommend the chocolate brownies :) The location of the hotel was absolutely unbeatable, very close to the airport which makes for a very short transfer (traffic depending during the day). Like many have said, it is very central but you wouldn't really know it when you are within the hotel grounds. The hotel rooms are slightly outdated but have everything you need. Our room was overlooking the pool on the third floor which had a nice balcony with a view. The hotel grounds themselves are very pretty, and the tortoises are absolutely wonderful! It was great to take a bit of lettuce to feed them after lunch. The pool area is lovely and relaxed. It is a 10-15 minute walk into the souks which are incredible. I had my concerns before going about what to expect but was pleasantly surprised. The shop owners do offer lots of encouragement to go into their shops but are happy to accept a pleasant 'no thank you' with a smile. Everyone we encountered was friendly and very willing to bargain for a good deal. Overall, the hotel was great for a relaxing week away. I would very much recommend a stay here!More
Could Not Fault This Place
Just returned from 6 nights here and absolutely loved it from start to finish. The grounds are beautiful, herb garden, rose bushes, little tortoises, plenty of sun loungers. Both pools are great, the quiet pool especially in late afternoon when most people had gone in to get ready for dinner. The rooms were good, clean, we had some trouble with our door key in that it wouldn't open but that was no issue we spoke to reception and they straight away moved us to a nicer room with a better view. Beds were massive and really comfy. Yes the bathroom could do with a little update but it really wasn't anything to stress about. Staff we had no issues with what so ever, I really don't understand where previous reviews are coming from, every member of staff we came across were polite said hello with a smile. Sometimes the bar staff were having a little chat but nothing to get annoyed about these guys work long and hard you can't expect them to be like robots i never had to wait any longer than a couple of minutes and even then there was usually a waiter on hand to offer to deliver the drinks to where you were sitting. The entertainment chap Rio was hilarious a really nice guy. Food was lovely couldn't fault it, lots of variety to be had be it traditional Moroccan or other world foods and something different on the bbq every night. I would definitely recommend going to the souk at night and getting a drink at one of the roof top bars. The whole atmosphere is exciting to be around. One thing I will say is if you are going all inclusive and go out of the hotel either roll your wristband over or cover it up, we had one of the locals claim that he was one of the gardeners there and used it as a reason to drag us to his friends shops. He was a bit hard to shake off but he got the hint eventually. Needless to say we never saw him in the hotel or on the grounds. Overall we absolutely loved it here and we were genuinely sad to leave. Would definitely return again.More
