During your time in Marrakech, you’ll bed down at the Riu Tikida Gardens. It’s located in the Palmeraie area of the city, 3 kilometres from the centre. To make exploring easier, the hotel runs a shuttle bus to the city centre every day. Once you’ve worked your way through the guidebook, the hotel offers plenty of ways to relax. There’s an enormous swimming pool, a wellness centre and 3 restaurants.

Your beach base will be the Riu Tikida Dunas. All that stands between this hotel and a private stretch of golden sand is a promenade. Having said that, the swimming scene at this hotel makes it tempting to abandon the beach altogether. There are 4 lake-sized pools, accessorised with bridges, water polo nets and palm-topped islands.
