During your time in the city, you’ll bed down at the Riu Tikida Garden. It’s located in the Palmeraie area of Marrakech, 3 kilometres from the heart of the city. To make exploring easier, the hotel runs a shuttle bus to city centre every day. Once you’ve worked your way through the guidebook, the hotel offers plenty of ways to relax. There’s an enormous swimming pool, a wellness centre and 3 restaurants. Bedrooms, meanwhile, are made for restful nights. Air-conditioning, soft lighting and plump soft furnishings make you comfortable while the hotel gardens act as natural sound-proofing.

In Agadir, you’ll stay at the Riu Tikida Beach. A promenade is all that separates this hotel from an 8-kilometre length of soft white sand. Beach aside, this place has been built with R & R in mind. The pool is a huge ink-blot, dressed up with palm islands, and the sunloungers by the water are the size of double beds and topped with mattresses. There’s a Thalassotherapy centre, here, too, where you can steam in a hammam and have your knots worked out with a massage.
