The restaurant offers traditional Moroccan cuisine and it gives you the chance to indulge in the local culture.
While it may not be the biggest, this pool has prime position on the hotel roof with views of Koutoubia Mosque and the Atlas Mountains. Surrounded by potted plants and with sunbeds dotted around it, you'll have a relaxing time lazing by the pool.
Orange trees offer some shade as you sit on the wrought iron table and chairs surrounded by hanging lanterns in the courtyard garden. It's an ideal for a place to just sit and chillout, and you can even enjoy your breakfast out here.

An oasis in the middle of the chaotic city
It's a bit hard to find at first, but as soon as you get inside, you will completely forget the chaotic surrounding city. You can ear the birds singing while having a mint tea in the garden, you can rest and watch the sunset by the rooftop pool, you can take pictures of the nearby koutoubia mosque on the terrace, over the roofs of the nearby buildings (which is only 5min walking distance). This is an excellent value for money Riad. The staff is extremely helpful, the rooms are comfy and spacious (at least the one I was given) the breakfast is good and typical and I have absolutely no complaints whatsoever about it. Well, maybe we could get a stronger wi-fi signal on the room, but.... that's not very important when you have so many things to do and visit nearby. I was really happy for choosing this Riad!More
Excellent time at Riad Catalina
We have just returned from a 4 night stay at the Riad Catalina and it was excellent. The hotel is really nice. A little piece of calm. The courtyard is just magnificent with beautiful tiling, trees, and a fountain. If you are lucky you might even notice the two tortoises. It was a very relaxing place to sit. The plunge pool on the roof is a must see. Having a dip in here in the hot weather was a must. We loved it. The room was just right. Not the biggest, but your only in it to sleep. It was clean and comfortable and that's all you need. The bed was fine and the air con was good. Staff were excellent and they really did make the holiday. Always friendly and polite and would do anything to help. They also gave us great advice when we asked about things. Every member of staff we met were exceptional. Thank you. The location is great. Its not far from the airport, maybe a 20-30 minute taxi ride. Once you get your bearings you find the location is perfect. Jemaa el-Fna, the main square and market, is about ten minutes walk, providing you know the right way (your phone is essential until you know your way around and mobile signal not a problem). Carrefour supermarket is 20 minutes walk away. The upmarket area Geuliz is about 30 minutes walk away if you want some nice hotel bars or brand shopping in the mall. Marrakech is a very safe city. Just be sensible, watch your belongings etc, but we felt 100% safe all the time. You will get hassled to but stuff but just be polite, or tune it out. So we had a great time and we will definitely be back. Thank you Riad Catalina.More
Always wanted to stay in a Riad, this one had very good on line reviews. Had a budget deal but was very disappointing. First room was an annex , there was hardly room to get around the bed, no mattress protector and the sheets just went to the edge of the mattress, they seemed to be suitable for a single bed not a double, totally unsatisfactory, also no hot water. Room was changed, without any fuss, for a larger one next day, bed was comfortable and had mattress protector and sheets that fitted. Hot water was still hit and miss. Riad was clean and breakfast was fine. However, was mystified by all the excellent and gushing reviews, both on line and at the Riad, must have been staying at a completely different place, or our expectations were too high. The one plus thing was the location which was very good for getting to the heart of Marrakech.More
Good access to city
Built like all Riads with the difference being the exception of the staff. Really helpful considerate and attentive. They really went the extra mile and understood how to look after their guests. Restaurant food very tasty but only if you want taginesMore

A beautiful oasis. Friendly staff. Highly recommend
Absolutely loved this wonderful Riad. The setting is amazing, a stunning courtyard filled with plants, a water fountain and with birds tweeting. The rooms are lovely and we had views out over the city roof tops. The staff were amazing and went the extra mile by allowing my boyfriend to fix his memory card using the office computer. They also went out and helped me to organise a birthday cake as a surprise for my boyfriend as it was his birthday while we were there. The location is brilliant. Peaceful and quiet but just a few metres away from the hustle and bustle. I have the best memories of Marrakesh and Riad Catalina. I can't fault it. More
