This new hotel, which opened its doors in 2011, is the ultimate urban retreat. It’s on top of a bowling alley, opposite the beautiful new railway station in downtown Marrakech. The French quarter is a 5-minute walk away, and Old Marrakech takes 10 minutes in a taxi. You definitely feel the city buzz on the breakfast terrace, which looks out over a busy square. And the pool takes pride of place on the roof, and comes with a pool bar. Red accents walls are the focal point in the bedrooms, which come with flatscreen TVs and balconies.

Timoulay Hotel
This sleek, white hotel looks like it belongs on the pages of Vogue. Bedrooms are an exercise in modern luxury, decorated in a palette of neutrals with plump sofas in the living areas. In the restaurant, meanwhile, you’ll find a pared back style, with black marble floors, steel pillars and accent lighting.
