In May 2015, we rolled out the red carpet for the brand new Aqua Mirage Club. This big hotel matches traditional-style courtyards and good-looking gardens with a waterpark-crowned pool scene.
We rolled out the red carpet for the brand new Aqua Mirage Club, in May 2015. The waterpark is the hotel’s crowning glory, but it’s also got a great choice of family-friendly activities.
This place is on the outskirts of Marrakech, so the Red City’s souks and mosques are just a 20-minute shuttle bus ride away.

Ignore the bad reviews! This place is a brilliant find!
My partner and I have just got back from our week away at the aqua mirage hotel Marrakesh.. and we had the most fantastic time, this resort was most definitely for us! We were slightly sceptical after reading some of the reviews on trip advisor. However none of them were true unless you are the type who cares about the odd bit of chipped paint work? Let me explain. First and foremost, what made our holiday was the staff. All the staff. From the receptionists to shop keeper to the animation team to the dinner staff. Everyone was so friendly and polite, they couldn't do enough for you! One of the comments I had read before arriving was that the male staff were pesty with female guests. This is no way true! They may smile and pay you complements but they would also joke around with my partner, at no point did I ever feel uncomfortable around them, nor were they intrusive. We actually made very good friends with them especially the dinner staff and animation team (miss you guys). The animation team are fab, they work so hard ensuring everyone is having fun. They had kids, teenagers, mums, dads, grandparents all up dancing together around the pool, doing Zumba and playing games. Then in the evenings they are up performing and entertaining on the stage. They work tirelessly always smiling, always dancing! Big shout out to Mike, Tito, Eric and Jimmy for making our holiday one big laugh! Food is also great, they have so much choice. I read people moaning about food 'running out'... unless you come 5mins until the end of meal serving, there is PLENTY of food!! Some is cooked fresh in front of you like pancakes and fish and other bits are preprepared! People also moaned about waiting for the fresh food to cook, but unless waiting a few minutes for a fresh pancake to cook is an issue, there is no problem. Dinner staff are fab and very helpful and polite, always on the ball to take away dirty plates and top up your drinks they to work so hard! Also thank you for our rose petal table on our last night! Rooms are up to scratch clean, spacious and comfy. Had a little tv in it with a couple of English channels. No wifi in rooms unless you pay same with the safety deposit box (free wifi by the pool though) which was a welcome relief and allowed us to spend some quality time together! Rooms where cleaned daily and towels and bedsheets changed, no complaints. The water park was better than expected, it's pretty cool to have a water park a short walk from where you're staying. Completely free to use, it's not huge but is a real decent size and lots of fun for all ages. Overall, a great holiday for a bargain price, we would definitely visit again, not so much for the country (the airports a nightmare but very secure..) but for this resort and these staff. Thank you all! More
Room - It was very basic but was clean. The toilet and bathroom are separate. There is a safe you can pay for too. We was in block 4 which was nice and quiet. Food - The themed nights aren't really a theme as at French night we had the same as Chinese night! Don't go for breakfast at 7am, the pancake machine didn't work, no breads out which left us a choice of sausage, eggs and beans. Staff was very friendly in the restaurant. Water park - Great slides and a large variety to choose from what ever age. Queues was okay at the end of April and no wait until 5PM. The blue slide that takes you into a large bowl is asking for trouble. the ring is to big and I got stuck (as did other people) the life guards answer to this is to send someone behind you to help you move, this helped me fall out of my ring, I then had to walk round the ring to collect my dingy! dangerous!! Pools - Nice and clean, 'heated pool' which wasn't quite heated, infact it was cold, was nice and quiet. The main pool was quite loud and busy as the entertainment was there. Entertainment - I would say the entertainment in this hotel is for the French. Songs, Karaoke, Language in all was very very French, very little English. Wasps - This hotel has a huge problem with wasps, every bin is covered in them. You couldn't even have a drink without one wanting some! be careful as my partner got stung and now has a big lump on his back! Overall this is a nice place to stay, weather hot, very safe and secluded. If you don't mind a language barrier I would recommend this hotel.More
Just got back from an amazing two weeks at Aqua Mirage. Before taking note of any negative reviews, please remember - this is officially a 3* hotel and therefore, if it's the red carpet treatment you're looking for, where everything is perfect, you need to spend the money and go to a 5* hotel!! For what we paid for our 2 week holiday, we really couldn't have asked for more! The staff are so friendly and helpful and will do what they can for you! In particular, we found the waiters Abdessamad and Abderrazak absolutely brilliant and between them, they took good care of us and made meal times very enjoyable! We didn't have much to do with the entertainment team but it was clear that they all worked very hard and did everything they could to entertain the guests! They were all friendly and always greeted you when walking past. The evening entertainment was also good. The food was absolutely lovely! It was fresh and plentiful and the selection was great - there was something there for even the fussiest eaters! We didn't use the main pool as my son found the water too cold but the atmosphere looked good and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. There is a smaller heated pool but it is hard to get sunbeds around this. We spent all of our days at the waterpark with the wave pool, which is brilliant, and the lifeguards who looked after the children's pool were great fun and very friendly! There were plenty of sunbeds at the waterpark and we never had a problem getting one. You can get free WiFi around the main pool area but this was very slow and you were lucky to be able to connect in the evenings. You can pay for WiFi in your rooms, which cost 240D per week. Luckily, we were in Block 4 which is the closest block to the waterpark and therefore I got very good WiFi while in the Waterpark all day! The TUI rep Clare is brilliant! She is so friendly and helpful and we had some good laughs with her - keep it up Clare, you're doing a great job! We did the "Discover Marrakesh" tour which was really good. However, be prepared to walk long distances in very hot weather. Our 5 year old was very bored and just wanted to go back to the hotel to have fun! "Marrakesh by Night" is another great tour which only lasts a few hours and gives you the chance of going around in a horse and carriage. You finish off in the main square, which is a real experience! All in all, we had a fantastic time and would recommend this hotel to everybody! We enjoyed it so much that we are seriously considering rebooking for next Easter! Thank you AQUA MIRAGE for making our stay so enjoyable!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!More

"Amazing family holiday, delicious food and desert"
Spent 4 days at the Aqua Mirage in December. Our bedroom view was of the Atlas mountain. My daughters enjoyed the outdoor heated pool. Food and desert is absolutely amazing, you cannot imagine how much is on offer for grabs. There is a free shuttle return bus in the morning to the city centre. Currency exchange and gym is also available at the hotel. Staff do make a genuine effort to please. Rooms are of a moderate size, with a power shower in the bathroom. We enjoyed free hot chocolate from the vending machines by the side of the outside pools and enjoyed children's entertainment in the evening.More
Fantastic, booked for next year already!
Loved the Aqua Mirage - it was the first time we've done this type of holiday for a few years but so glad we did. Everything from the moment we arrived was fantastic. Instead of the usual check in process with lots of waiting around in the Reception area we were all taken one of the hotel comfortable areas with chairs and tables and cold bottled water while we filled in the forms needed by the hotel. We were then shown to our rooms by very friendly hotel staff. The animation team were always on hand to make your stay really fun. They were all fantastic, but especially Tito, Jimmy, Eric and Amal. They work so hard, and it make you feel like you are the only guest. There is so much to do every day - early morning yoga, belly dancing, aquarobics, water polo and Tito's fantastic zumba! Then in the evening the animation staff spend time with guests, chatting, doing card tricks and dancing before the mini disco and then their nightly shows, including the Michael Jackson show which is fab! The restaurant can get busy but the waiters are always polite and helpful, and the food is varied and plentiful. We had such a good time we've booked for Easter next year. Can't wait!!!!More
