Why you should visit Egypt

Whether you're into checking out tropical fish or epic ancient monuments, Egypt has it sorted. And with All inclusive holidays to Egypt, your basic costs are taken care of upfront. So, there's no need to worry about the bill when you're there. Here are our top 5 ways to enjoy yourself in Egypt...

  1. Beaches, diving and pools

Sand stretches for miles along the eastern coast of Egypt, but the beaches aren't just about sunloungers and watersports – the Red Sea here is home to some of the best dive sites in the world. Elsewhere, the Nile region is miles from the coast, but if you want to catch some rays, there are always the hotel swimming pools and sun decks on Nile cruisers

  2. Undersea life

There are over 1,000 types of fish swimming around in the Ras Mohammed National Park and you can get up close when you visit Shark Reef and Anemone City. It's an hour away from Sharm El Sheikh by boat. White storks, osprey and herons make this a good trip for twitchers, too.

  3. Haggling in the souk

If you like nothing better than a good haggle, you'll want to head to one of Luxor's souks. In the atmospheric bazaar, Sharia Al–Souk you can strike a bargain for souvenirs like water pipes, perfume bottles and jewellery. But if negotiating isn't your thing, you'll find fixed price shops around Television Street

  4. Super–sized temples

It took 1,300 years to get the Temple of Karnak in Luxor exactly right, and it's still in surprisingly good nick today. This massive monument is actually a mix of temples, sanctuaries and chapels. If you go to the Sound and Light Show

at night you can enjoy it with a spooky soundtrack in the background, as long–dead Pharaohs tell the story of Thebes' past.

  5. Camel rides in the desert

There's no better way to take in the romantic desertscapes of the Sinai than on the back of the camel. These trusty 'ships of the desert' have been Bedouin transport since forever – but if you want something a bit more 21st century, you can always hire a quad bike for a zoom about on the sands.
