badly needs refurbishment not 4*plus
If your standards on holiday are 4* plus don't stay here just yet. Stayed for a week left day before takeover, need's money spending on it, lots of!! Staff friendly, food not bad. green slime visible in pools. Patio furniture was metal framed banqueting chair's!! Hope the new company spend some money on it, location is quite good. The locals are friendly and obviously want to sell you stuff as there are not a lot of tourist's out there at the moment, but if your friendly and polite they leave you alone.First time in Egypt won't be the last, but to a different hotel.Shame the standard of it hadn't been kept up was recommended as years ago it was good.More
GREAT REP, FABULOUS STAY
My daughter and I had an all inclusive week (22nd - 29th March) at this resort. Large, airy, well maintained complex (hotel 'train' runs around frequently during the day), suitable for singles, couples and families. Spacious room, comfortable bed, beach and all areas clean and inviting. Bags of food and places to ear/drink. Plenty of sunbeds and space, lots of quiet spots for relaxing and loads of activities for the more energetic, including a gym. You will be approached by spa staff but they're extremely pleasant and not pushy; I didn't use this facility but heard nothing but positive comments from other guests. Scored (5) as a result. We are two adults so children's scores also based on observed activities and comments. Excellent staff, polite, attentive service, accommodating and keen to do everything to ensure a fantastic stay. I particularly want to thank Yousouf, Thomson rep, a real credit to the company, who arranged our move from another hotel. No fuss, just prompt individualised customer service. We're definitely going back, and for longer next time. Ms J & LMore
hotel is badly needing refurbished
arrived sunday evening 30/03/14 quick service at reception which looked impressive but that was the end of the 4 star plus given by first choice. This hotel is old as you can tell as you head to your room broken tiles everywhere dont go about without footwear at anytime there is a lot of damage on footpaths and pool areas. The hotel was being taken over when we arrive as we found out later there was only 20% of the hotel occupied so plenty space about. That was the good points food ok nothing special drinks during take over undrinkable. Entertainment in over 30 years travelling home and abroad this was the most dissapointing I have had the misfortune to witness. Staff were excellent could not do enough but this hotel is not for the british holiday maker if you have booked this hotel I urge you to change as you will be dissapointed it is not far from a 3 star hotel never mind 4star plus. If this was cheap and chearfull price no probs but your paying a high price and you will be shocked by the state the biggest pull was full of green slime which they were trying to scrape out after the take over so be warned expect the the worse and you wont then be dissapointed .More
Good for families
Great resort for families with primary age children, however wouldn't go as a couple. The hotel is huge and the rooms are spacious. The cleaner we had (Ahmed) was absolutely brilliant, as were the Animation Team and some of the pool bar staff. Have to say that some of the others were not so great and felt hounded for the the first week by spa and excursion sales people. We were hassled while relaxing by the pool every few minutes - this really needs sorting out as it's very uncomfortable and ruins the experience. The same goes for the shop keepers outside the hotel - i would have loved to buy a few gifts etc but was so hassled by shop keepers I couldn't face entering into any conversation with them or step inside a shop. We were even chased across the main dual carriageway by a man on a camel selling camel rides...ridiculous. The hotel food was nice enough 'however the lunch options were all fried. Bearing in mind the amount of fresh local fish it was a shame that some simple healthy BBQ fish options weren't available. When a pizza is the healthiest option you have to ask yourself what's going on. Breakfasts and dinners in the Aquarium restaurant were pretty good but again, lacking in simple, fresh, healthy options. The staff in the Aquarium were great - very attentive on the whole, especially the manager. Although the Animation Team were lovely (especially the lovely Italian lady with braids...sorry can't remember her name but my daughter Mia absolutely adored her and she made Mia's holiday!) the routines and the music was repetitive and a bit cringey. There were some very loud families there who would have really annoyed me if we were there with them longer than a couple of days ( thankfully they didnt arrive til we had been there a week!). On the whole - a great ten days with the family - great pools and amazing snorkeling off the end of the pier!More

This is what I said when we arrived and throughout our stay loved every minute until I suffered with a one day bug which everyone tends to suffer from point to add 7 restaurants to chose from that before you even get to the views as I said AMAZINGMore
