1 week stay
Arrived on 17th after spending a week at a different hotel. I had stayed here some years before so new what to expect as in food and drink. We were upgraded to Junior Suite and Aquarium Restaurant ! this was done for every British person entering hotel due to the amount of complaints re the main dinning room and the free for all attitude of the people using it ..........they were referred to as a swarm of Locust who stripped the food counter bear within seconds lol . Food was great ......drinks undrinkable :( just as well we don't really drink lol we did have a problem even getting a coke from the bar as service was so awful due to some young woman standing with there breasts almost sitting on the counter so as to be served over and over again while fluttering eyelids I did have a word with the English Girl Lauren who worked for Animation who in turn spoke to bar manager and arranged us a coke each. Animation tried very hard :) As I said Lauren was very helpful she always smiled and seemed interested in the guests However I found the Manager (think they called him ja ja ) quite annoying and to be honest I heard the way he spoke to the team at times which was not in the least nice he just strutted around carrying his man bag with an air of superiority about him ( everyone thought him a silly little boy haha) But the team tried to involve people in activity's. The one thing that let it down was the state of the toilets in the reception area ! at no time did the hand dryer work or was any paper towels provided so we had to use toilet roll to dry our hands. The Toilets at the beach were even worst no soap !( soap dispenser on floor empty) what not all over the toilets and floor ! pretty disgusting to be honest and this was morning noon and night Would I return ? I would love to as long as I did not have to eat in the main restaurant and once the above points have been addressed as I expect clean toilets to use. We had a nice time before moving onto our next hotel ( 3 booked for this stay) and meet some lovely people.More

Here for 10 more days - ask me
We are having the most fantastic time at the Tropicana Grand Azure in Sharm. It really is a first class hotel and we are here for another 10 days so if there's anything you would like to know just ask me here and I will try and answer you but believe me, everything is great. Clive Harris More
5 star facilities, 3 star plus due to lack if maintenance and quality of drink
Just back from 4 weeks at this hotel (1-28 feb). Positives: friendly staff, free upgrade to suite and use of aquarium restaurant, food quality and choice. The two pools were immaculate albeit cold. The aquarium restaurant is heaven compared to the main restaurant which is more like a school or works canteen. The aquarium restaurant had steak, chicken, fish or pasta every mealtime on a BBQ/grill plus choice of hot meals, salads, soup and desserts. Negatives: alcoholic drinks were limited and disgusting. This resulted in me not drinking anything alcoholic in hotel for the whole month. Choice was vodka, dark rum, whiskey or gin and all tasted nothing like they should. We're used to drinking at all inclusive resorts and know they are local produce but these drinks really were awful. The lager was warm and although bottled was never in the fridge in the main bar. The lack of maintenance really spoils the resort. Patio furniture was very old and very damaged. Crockery in the main restaurant was chipped and was always running out. (No problem in aquarium but you have to upgrade to use this). The main bar didn't have enough glasses which often resulted in people drinking lager in wine glasses or brandy tumblers. Most walls and paths would benefit from a lick of paint and some plastering. The main pool urgently needs the floor painting as it looks dirty and mouldy. Animation: try their best to accommodate all languages but hearing everything in 5 different languages it gets draining. The chief of animation is very loud and likes the sound of his own voice so avoid animation pool if you want to relax. Shows are basic and most guests do tend to be Russian. I would doubt the resort will be available with thomsons in years to come as the Russians do dominate. The Red Sea village next door was more for the English and you can hear their animation. The cleaning if the room was average. It wasn't regularly hoovered (they tend to sweep) and the bath shower doesn't get cleaned daily. Cleaners tend to tidy up your products and make bed, change towels and wipe sink. The room smelt clean once in the month (of bleach) after I'd asked cleaner twice and complained to rep that shower base was unclean. I bought cleaner and cleaned myself. The cleaner was apologetic but I'm just nit sure their cleaning standards are same as ours. The thomson rep has him was fantastic. Minor issues resolved within the hour and was always around to check all was ok.More

fabulous family holiday
i have actually been here twice, once in april and once in december. the hotel is clean and thats something that is always being kept on top of by the staff. the staff are very polite and helpful. the pools are fabulous and are just great for relaxing by. one of the pools has games and stuff by it but if you don't fancy that just move to a quieter one theres plenty to choose from. the all inclusive is really good. lots of choices in the food department with several restaurants to choose from and the drinks are local but good quality. i fancied a bloody mary one night and although they didn't have tomato juice it was ordered in and the waiter came and found me the next day complete with said drink on a tray. they had actually ordered the ingredients to make it thats how seriously they take customer service. The rooms are very good size wise and are clean. the bathrooms are cleaned daily and there is a maid service. i tipped at the beginning of the holiday and was very well looked after by all the staff.More
