Great hotel, needs a touch up

We stayed here for 2 weeks and the hotel is beautiful, it just needs a lick of paint-everywhere. Once it's been done up this year it will be an amazing hotel. The pools weren't very clean and the pool surfaces definitely need to be re-done. The service was good- unfortunately tipping is necessary. Entertainment was good, a girl called Beth Reddy was particularly good at getting everyone around the pool to join in and get involved with the activities such as water volleyball and aquagym! She was definitely the most enthusiastic during all the evening shows too. All in all this hotel was good and after a touch up it will be amazing next year ☀️More

Fantastic holiday

Returned home from our family holiday....add an excellent stay met some lovely ppl the hotel is lovely The lobby staff wa great the restaurant staff wa brill wi kids food wa ok a lot of the same things....animation team made our holiday they wa brill big shout out for beth n little Joe you 2 r amazing an fab at what you do keep up the good work :):)More

Great staff and food needs updating

Spent 10 days in August for our honeymoon , hotel was clean and tidy. Food was very good different choice every day.Chinese restaurant was lovely. Staff were very helpfull. Rooms where clean and spacious but need modernising , shower leaked all over floor as the door didn't close properly .Hotel and pool overall needs up dating pool was very skippy in parts where the paint has worn away. Had a enjoyable holiday overall but wouldn't returnMore

Good, but could have been better!!!!

Just got back from this hotel, which we stayed for two weeks as I enjoyed myself .The tropicano grand azure was a lovely holiday, but was a bit tired. If u want a relaxing, quiet hotel is the one, but if u r after activities for children and a bit of music, it doesn't give you that. As we were English guests we were upgraded to a junior suite, which was very spacious and clean. But it was very tired and needed updated. If you r going to stay in this hotel I would advise you to upgrade as the standard rooms are quite small and don't give you good views, as we were surrounding the pool, as found that very handy so not long to walk to reception. But other people who had standard rooms had to walk about fifteen minutes to reception. The food was very good, especially the aquarium restuarant which is only for English guests, as the main resturant is to crowded and full of Egyptian people. The a la cartes are beautiful, I highly recommend the Chinese and Italian which are very tasty and good atmosphere. The entertainment is average as you would normally expect in a all inclusive hotel, some nights it was very disappointing so decided to go to the shopping malls outside the hotel as there weren't anything going on in the hotel. I would advise you to go to soho square as Nama bay is quite rowdy and very busy. Soho square is full of English people and has some good entertainment on which will entertain the family. Overall this hotel is not a five star it is more like a four, but it is the hotel if you r looking somewhere to relax with the partner, not so much the familyMore

Worst Hotel

Tropicana/ Tirana Grand Azure, Sharm el Sheikh, Egypt. The Rooms The first Junior Suite was not suitable, the whole room was dirty. I spilled water on the coffee table wiped up with a couple of paper tissues which after I had wiped up the water were black with dirt, the shower had been put in at the end of the bath as a after thought and flooded the bathroom every time we had a shower. We were moved to a second room on the first floor, if these rooms are classed as a Junior Suite they were very disappointing to say the least and the price of the upgrade was very expensive for what we got. The rooms were shoddy and needed decorating, the stocked mini-bar consisted of 2 cans of beer, 2 soft drinks and 2 fruit juices in a very small fridge which I do not think equals a stocked mini bar. We complained to reception and a very rude receptionist told us that's all we are entitled to. In our second room the water pressure for the shower was very inconsistent and the basin was continually getting blocked. The cleaners arrived to clean our room at approximately 1800 hrs every night which I considered to be very late as we were getting changed to go out, the clean was change the bed sheets and towels, wipe the top of the dressing table and coffee table without moving anything, sweep the balcony and mop with a damp cloth and finally use a dust pan and brush on the carpet, I continually asked why the carpet was not cleaned with a vacuum cleaner, all I got was a shrug of the shoulders. Eventually after 13 days a vacuum cleaner was used. We timed the whole cleaning process every evening and on average it took from 4 to 6 minutes from when they came in the door to when they left. The Pool Area The pool area was a total disgrace, we settled on a small pool next to the entrance which looked like the cleanest of a bad lot. The area around this pool was cleaned on the odd occasion never on a daily basis. The first couple of days were quiet, then we were told that 200 Arab people were arriving the next day. This was a disaster, their behaviour was disgraceful, on one occasion we left our sun beds with our personal towels draped on at the side of the pool to go to lunch and when we came back a Arab family had decided to use. On another occasion a boy of about 8 or 9 stood on the side of the pool and urinated, but what made it worse was his family laughed and thought it was funny. We reported this to the hotel who closed the pool for about 1 hour threw a bucket of Chlorine in the water and then reopened it. The only thing about this holiday that was as advertised was the SUNSHINE.More
