Sea Club Resort

This hotel gives you access to the whole Sea Group Resort – which means a private beach and 3 huge outdoor pools.

Three big pools are the main focus here, along with a golden-sand private beach that goes on for the best part of a kilometre. And you’re only 20 minutes from the centre of Na’ma Bay – the hotel runs a free shuttle bus during the day.

The hotel has its own PADI scuba diving school, and even its own coral reef.

Avoid if you can.....

Me and my husband arrived on Sunday 2nd November at 9.45pm - we were advised to quickly go to the restaurant if we wanted something to eat as they were about to close. The food was warm as it had been sitting there since 7pm. I had rice with some meat - big mistake..... I contracted gastroenteritis more or less immediately and spent most of my one week holiday in the hotel doctors clinic having intravenous drips, painkilling injections, antibiotics via injection, stool samples and blood tests; I became soooo ill the male nurse had to visit me in my room to take further blood samples... My blood pressure dropped so low which was a concern to the doctor. The hotel doctor was absolutely wonderful and very caring (he was called out to me at 4am) - didn't like the male nurse much as all he wanted was his tip (he was also a bit too "hands on" for my liking). They got me well enough to fly home which I was at least grateful for. They did try and get my husband to pay them up front and claim the money back via the insurance company when we got home, but my husband put his foot down and only paid the excess. We managed, with a lot of persuasion to fax through a medical report to our insurance company. I never did receive the results from the blood tests they took - the doctor even gave me his email address so I could email him once home, but it didn't connect!!! Our room boy, Mohamed, was absolutely brilliant - couldn't do enough for me. It was my birthday whilst out there which was ruined as I couldn't leave my room. My husband was eating out and going to the beach on his own. We complained numerous times about there being no soap in the public toilets dotted around the hotel and on the beach despite being a signed document in the toilets saying that the toilets had been checked! The food was very poor - geared more towards the Russians who were so greedy - you'd have thought they were starving - you've only got to look at them to see that they definitely are not. Despite our room looking very clean we were both bitten (looked like flea bites as they were quite obviously not mosquito bites). The customer liaison rep, Laura, phoned me to inquire about my health after being prompted to by the hotel doctor. She did arrange one meal for me of jacket potato and chicken in the restaurant, but I never heard from her after that (not much of a liaison rep.....). Thank goodness we never booked any of the trips; we would never have been able to go on them. We never went to any of the pools as there always seemed to be loud music blasting out and the animation team always seemed to be dancing on the bridges and trying to encourage the holiday makers to join in - why don't they just let you enjoy your well deserved holiday. An adult only pool would have been great even though kids were there it's also quite nice to escape them for a while. On a positive: the rooms are lovely with superb room boys. The grounds are manicured to a very high standard. The beach towels are of a very high quality. The specialty restaurants ie Fish, French, Lebanese and Japanese are well worth a visit (no extra charge). The home reef was fantastic (my husband tells me) shame I never got to see it. The transfers between airport and hotel were faultless, although be aware of the scam of the English £1 coins - they ask you to exchange a £10 note for 10 coins - the coins are counterfeits...... sorry that's not a positive. So I've now been home 2 weeks and I've had to visit my own GP twice. I've been signed off work for 2 weeks which in total I would have been ill for 3 horrible weeks. I feel totally cheated of a £1,500 holiday. It was my second time to Egypt and my last. So, if you have read my review, please, please think very carefully before going to this resort.More

nice hotel. not too good buffet food

just back from 8 days all inclusive last thursday. our first impressions of this hotel were excellent. we were made to feel welcome from the time we checked in. All the staff are really friendly and can not do enough to help. The hotel is absolutely spotless and the animation team keep everyone going. If you have any requirements for scuba diving or snorkelling speak to Mando as he is really accommodating. we booked a snorkelling trip but due to illness were unable to attend and we paid a small fee to change to another date but unfortunately were unable to go on this trip again. thanks for your help Mando. While i am like a bucket and will eat anything, i was a bit disappointed in the buffet as most of the food was warm rather than hot and i think that was why i developed diarrhoea (acute gastro enteritis as diagnosed by the the hotel doctor). A word of warning: Avoid the hotel pharmacy if you can. I went to get cream for a mosquito bite and was instantly sent to the doctor who proceeded to give me an antibiotic injection, an antihisthamine injection and some cream (cost is 600 egyptian pound for consultation and 100 egyptian pounds for each injection. I developed diarrhoea 2 days later but did not go to doctor cos was unsure what my insurance excess was so when i finally went to pay the bill the day we were due to go home i had had diarrhoea for 4 days and was given tablets and diarolyte sachets by the doctor. I have finally recovered after 9 days of being ill but missed my snorkelling trip and 2 out of the 3 a la carte restaurant visits although the one we went to was the japanese one and i would highly recommend itMore

Sea club

This was a great place to relax and chill out. Great food and a great service all round. The room was excellent and the only fault that occurred was rectified by the maintainence team within a very short time. Very friedly all round, I would definitely consider going back.More

Average at best

I recently stayed at the hotel with my wife, at first we were impressed with the surroundings and view from our room but there is where the positives end. From our first to last day we were constantly hassled for by the salon staff for facial and massages and for quad biking trips! I know this happens in hotels but they were relentless and patroled the pool constantly from early morning till the sun went down! Every 5 mins being asked for something is not what I come on holiday for! In the end we had to go to the beach as it had a relax area which the sales staff were not allowed to go. The main canteen for food was a nightmare! Every day it was packed with people who seemed like it was a race to put as much food on there plate as possible! You had to battle your way through this farce everyday otherwise there probably won't be any food left. The chefs were really slow at keeping on top of it. The majority of guests seemed to be Russian and they act like they have never been fed, pushing in front and taking all they can get! No manners! The majority of staff at the bar and in the canteen are slow and are too busy talking between themselves. The good was bland and the drinks were poor, there was only 1 type of beer and it was given to me in a small glass, in the end I had to order 2 at a time just so I didn't have to keep going back to the bar. Can't eat or drink in room, mini bar never toped up, only given a 500 ml water when arrived then it's up to you to ask if you want any more from bar. Staff at reception when checking out didn't even ask if we had a good stay, just gave us a feed back for form and told us to fill it out. We have stayed in plenty of all inclusive hotels and we are not picky or fussy people but this hotel is just not doing the very basics we have come to expect. The management should go and stay at a Riu hotel if they want to know how to run a all inclusive hotel. More

Ian U,

Worst holiday ever! I don't know why so many rate this place!

We booked a last minute holiday in July 2013 & wish we hadn't even wasted our money. We arrived quite late, check in was great but the restuarant closed in 15 minutes so we quickly grabbed something to eat. The food was the worst food I had ever had! It was tasteless, cold and just awful.( A few years previous we stayed at the Concorde El Salam and it was great but we chose to go somewhere else.) we put the bad food down to it being towards the end of service. The food never improved it was just vile. We've been to Egypt & Tunisia before and the service was always great. Always got our own waiter they knew us and did everything for us. Here they didn't care never came around and topped drinks up always had to go full up. The special resturants they have are worth booking there abit better. We did actually enjoy the lebbonesse resturant. I forgot to mention when we visited I was 20 weeks pregnant so I had to be careful of what I ate. (Avoided salads and only drank tap water) half way through the holiday me and my partner fell so ill. Sickness and diarrhea and for a few days we couldn't even leave the room. We were so stressed out and spent most our holiday argueing. Another thing aswel you cannot relax around the pool every 5 minutes there's someone coming up trying to sell something and won't take no for an answer! Even the entertainers were pushy (they were English) I had to tell them on every occasion I didn't want to take part in activities because I was pregnant The day before we left we eventually saw our rep and he asked us our holiday had been and we told him the truth he then said we should if told him at the begining and he would have transferred us. Wish we did but we was only there for a week and spent most of it on the toilet (sorry!) We weren't the only ones to complain. I must say the hotel, grounds and rooms are lovely and clean but the staff & food ruin this hotel We stayed here in July 2013 and until this day it still gets to me! I also found out a few weeks later when we returned that my partner was going to propose on holiday but he told me he didn't because of how awful it was and how ill we got. Such a shame this hotel has put me off going back to EgyptMore
