Maritim Jolie Ville Resort and Casino

On the promenade in Naama Bay, the Maritim Jolie Ville is in a top spot. There’s a great mix of cafés, bars and restaurants on the doorstep, not to mention a wide sandy beach. There’s a dive centre here, too, so exploring Sharm’s famous coral reefs is a cinch. And if you’d rather keep your head above water, it’s a great spot for windsurfing too. Not far from the sand, you’ll find the hotel’s large pool. It’s fringed by a wide sun terrace complete with loungers and thatched parasols. But if sitting still drives you to distraction, your options include floodlit tennis courts, volleyball nets and a well-equipped gym. There’s a Thai-style spa, too. As for the hotel itself, it’s surrounded by manicured lawns and well-kept gardens. The bedrooms are in small buildings tucked among the greenery, so there’s a real back-to-nature vibe. Inside, they’ve kept things simple without skimping on style. Think fresh white walls, over-sized patterned rugs and bright soft furnishings injecting splashes of colour. Plus, all the rooms come with spacious balconies, air-conditioning and satellite TVs. On the dining front, this place serves up a tempting mix of buffets and à la carte cuisine. There’s a beach barbecue restaurant, too, and a pizzeria serving up freshly-baked Italian classics. Add that to a bakery and ice-cream parlour and you’re bound to find something you fancy. After-dark, meanwhile, the place to be is the hotel’s very own casino.

Relaxing stay with family & friend

Having visited this resort at least 7 or 8 times, very good as always. Customer services 'Ursina' does a excellent job within a male dominated hotel. Enjoyed the Spa for the first time but must barter for a good price.More

Excellent Hotel, Perfect Location

I have now stayed at Maritim JV three times, first when it was the Movenpick JV. This hotel has two areas, the first beach side the second over the road and called a garden side, I have stayed at both. The garden side is fine as long as you don't mind a bit of a walk down to the breakfast room and facilities of the main hotel; the room quality is the same. This hotel covers a larger area, but it is flat with lovely gardens and marble pathways,so unless you have serious mobility issues it is easy to get around, plus there are some golf buggies which the staff will use to run you around if you have shopping or are just a bit hot/tired. The hotel is haven of peace and tranquility, but it is also right in the middle of Naama Bay so you are close to all the facilities and attractions of the main strip. You can access everything you need to without having to run the gauntlet of the local feral taxi drivers. Breakfasts are excellent and the hotel has a big chunk of private beach on Naama Bay. If you monitor prices you can normally get 2 weeks at the hotel outside of peak times for £600 - £800 per person B&B which is a real bargain. Your first time in Egypt, choose this hotel, you will be ideally placed location wise and in a lovely hotel with excellent food.More

Coffee Shop / Bakery View

The coffee shop looks nice, attractive and clean from the outside, prices don't seem too bad. All sandwiches are advertised as coming with 'chips & dips', so we were some what surprised when our sandwiches arrived with a few potato crisps and a few pickles. When we queried this we were told 'dips' in arabic means 'pickles'. I don't thin so, so we advised that we would not be paying the full bill unless our chips (french fries) and dips arrived. I asked to see the manager and invited him to pick any 3 local restaurants that we would go to to see what they meant when meals were advertised with 'chips & dips'. After a 20 min delay and numerous phone calls we were offered a discount which we accepted as we were on the point of giving up the will to live as nobody on the staff seemed able to make a decision. The food was on the poor side of average, the drinks were ok. On balance over priced and not very good, so don't waste your money.More
