Iberotel Palace

This hotel has a boutique feel and Red Sea views that you can admire from the stylish split-level pool.

This hotel puts you right on the edge of a private sandy beach. There’s a lagoon pool, too, plus 3 restaurants. In the evenings, singers, belly dancers and other professional acts perform in the bar.

When you're not sunbathing by the pool, you can try watersports like windsurfing and scuba diving. Beyond the hotel, the spice market in Old Sharm is less than 5 minutes’ walk away.

Jackie H Just as good

This is our second visit to the Iberotel hotel. The staff are very friendly and the Yosef who is charge of the entertainment team does a good job to keep everybody happy .Annette goes round each day to make sure you are happy with everything if not she will do her best to make it right for you. All the staff, in fact will go out of there way to make sure you have a good holiday. We will be returning again next November its a pity its not nearer instead of been 5hrs away .Plenty of choice of food, they will do something for you if you ask. Good location.More

update November 2014

Our 3rd visit-last review earlier in the year. Where else could you find such lovely weather at this time of year within 5 hours of UK? The hotel retains its appeal with excellent location, wonderful helpful staff, very good food with huge & varied choices. short transfer time(about 15 minutes) & reasonable entertainment,& lovely rooms. However there are a few issues. 1.Still unsuitable for wheelchairs with very steep ramps & no lifts. 2.The plastic floating pontoons to access the hotel boat & alight at the reef are dangerous & broken(2 people were injured using these). Some people needed help to use these from the boatman & some clients were put off snorkeling.(this is one of the main attractions of the resort). 3The incessant noise from adjacent hotels & beach bars continues both day & into the night makes it less than tranquil. 4.I have some reservations about the quality of the seawater in the bay. None of the hotel staff knew anything about this although one client had seen some sewerage discharge pipes around the bay which although tidal is very enclosed , does not lend itself to partial self cleansing. 5. Still an issue with obscure hand cleaning facilities in the restaurants, which on observation, less than 50% of clients used. 4 & 5 could contribute to a few people having gastroenteritis. However we did thoroughly enjoy our stay made even better by free laundry( I think a temporary benefit for the U.K. visitors) & convenient flight times from Doncaster airport.More

CHILD FREE HEAVEN ........BUT

Arrived at Sharm airport to be greeted with a 2 hour passport control check-in, all because there were 7 flights from the UK arriving at the same time. Beware of Thomson bogus reps trying to sell you visa's. We got to our mini bus, to then be greeted with a bus with no brakes!! Eventually arrived at the hotel, and we got an upgrade to room 3304 side sea view, excellent, however the toiletries were hit and miss, but the towel art was very good as we got one most days. Downside was at 4.00am greeted with the mosque chanting prayers. But the bonus was I could get a good spot on the beach armed with towels. Sunbeds were poor quality and we had to sign for a cushion...bizarre. Fridge was not all inclusive as only refilled once whether 1 week or 2 weeks. We had 2 broken lights annoying but at least they were repaired fairly quickly. Our safe was faulty i.e. the keypad and battery needed to be changed all together 5 visits from maintenance. The laundry was OK trousers very good shirts not so good could of complained but life's too short. We had 2 gifts in our room.... still there. Dining experience, al la carte, Italian was excellent, went twice and could not help noticing it was always empty. Main restaurant was OK, but we preferred the Marine restaurant which was quieter, and more intimate. On the 2nd visit the waiter saved our table, nice touch much appreciated. We tipped the waiter as a thank you, however 2 nights later the table had been given to a repeat guest. As 1st timers we were made to feel unwelcome. At breakfast eventually after 6 days we were offered fresh orange juice, did not know that was available. Drinks service, all inclusive, not really. Ordered Bacardi and coke and was questioned weather I was all inclusive or not, is this acceptable, don't think so. Drinks were poor quality, wine was unacceptable, whiskey was rough to say the least. Ended up 2 weeks of beer or G&T, just about acceptable. My wife loves sparkling wine and I don't mean the champagne just ordinary sparkling wine, so one night we bought 4 glasses which cost £30.! Waiter service was generally OK, except one particular waiter Mahmoud I think he was called, served at the pool bar in the days, pretty miserable guy except to repeat guests. Tips seemed to work at this hotel. The hotel guest relation lady Annette, was lovely and helpful but after 14 days we tended to get irritated by being asked the same question, alles in ordnung? We know she is only doing her job but we are grown ups and can sort any problems. Entertainment, was better than we expected, and music to our particular taste. Warning, mosquitoes on the beach caused many people problems, luckily we were OK, but 3 am on the day we were coming home we had to call out the doctor, my wife had 3 drips in her and £400 lighter. Tablets just to get her home not sure what it was she is still suffering a week later. She was not alone with this problem so be aware. Reception. On checking out, we were asked to wait while they checked if we had taken any chocolate. No mention of "did you enjoy your stay, is your wife OK now, can we help", ..... nothing. Excellent break

We went for a weeks sunshine and hopefully a good hotel and were not disappointed on either front. The hotel staff were really friendly and helpful. A good variety and standard of food, our only comment would be that the buffet food could have been hotter. However there was always a very good selection at all three meal times. One important note is that you need to make sure that you use mosquito spray particularly if you sit near the pool in the evening. My wife and many other ladies were bitten quite badly. Fortunately the hotel have a first class Pharmacy and the pharmacist good not have been more helpful. Would certainly consider going to this hotel again.More

Fantastic

Our second time at the Iberotel, felt like going back to old friends. We thought last year was good but this year we stayed for ten days so lovely. Unfortunately my friend was ill for a couple of days due to mosquito bites, the pharmacist (wish I could remember his name) he was so helpful and kind. The staff as always go out of there way to make your stay the best they can, the entertainment has improved from last year and yosef and his team work so hard and always with a smile, food as usual so much choice delicious. Hopefully we will see you next year Thank you for making our holiday More
