Iberotel Palace

This hotel has a boutique feel and Red Sea views that you can admire from the stylish split-level pool.

This hotel puts you right on the edge of a private sandy beach. There’s a lagoon pool, too, plus 3 restaurants. In the evenings, singers, belly dancers and other professional acts perform in the bar.

When you're not sunbathing by the pool, you can try watersports like windsurfing and scuba diving. Beyond the hotel, the spice market in Old Sharm is less than 5 minutes’ walk away.

Amazing Holiday

Went to ibertrol palace for a week in mid august. Hotel was fantastic, service was brilliant nothing was too much trouble. The only things negative I can say is that the sun beds a bit tatty and uncomfortable. Also for a couple of days the top pool was a bit dirty with dead insects due to essential maintenance being carried out which meant that the water didn't continuously flow. But I understand that this was unavoidable. Would definitely recommend hotel to anyone! More

Iberotel Palace Stay & Nile Cruise

When I told people the package I was doing some thought we were mad! Even my Dr said I might not come back alive. How wrong can they all be, they were so far from the truth, and I will give you an honest detailed account of our trip. As with all holidays, they start when you leave home. We flew from Gatwick on 31st August 2014 and our flight took 4hours 50 minutes. We arrived at Sharm airport and when in the arrivals hall got our Visas (you need these when going snorkelling, diving, to different areas or cruising the Nile) . To get these when you go through the doors look to the left. They are £19 per person. We paid £40 sterling and got £2 change. I would advise you to either use the loos on the plane before disembarking or going in the arrivals hall (women) as when you get into baggage reclaim there are only 2 ladies toilets and quite a long queue. When you have collected your bags, you will proceed out to meet your rep/escort. Locals will tell you that they work for your tour company and try to take your bags, don't be fooled by this, they will expect and ask you for £1. If you don't want them to assist you with bags, just either ignore them or say no thank you. Our transfer to the Iberotel Palace in Sharm took just 25 minutes, we were the first hotel drop. On arrival we were greeted by hotel staff, given a hot flannel & a drink handed and taken into a room to complete some form and for them to obtain our passport details. In here we were given information and our room keys. We placed labels on our suitcases so the bell boy could take them to our room. We decided to sit in the bar and have a drink whilst waiting for him to collect our cases. This worked well for us. We saw him to our room with our cases then returned to the bar. Upon retiring we were in bed nearly asleep at midnight when we heard a knock at the door, (double your lock) before we could say anything room service was on it's way in with some food for us. (We arrived at our stay hotel on the Sunday night) on Monday we had a welcome meeting. Tuesday we had another meeting about our transfers (internal flights) to Luxor to pick up the Legacy cruise ship. At this meeting we were advised that we could only take a maximum of 15kg per person due to the cabins being small. Those that flew direct to the ship had 20kg each and some paid for the extra 5 kg as I did. I would advise you to check weight limit this with Your tour op prior to your holiday. I certainly would not gave taken or paid for extra if I knew I would have to leave 10kg back at the hotel. Our Thompson rep advised us that we could take all toiletries through security as it was an internal domestic flight. We were picked up very early this morning. (Wednesday) flew to Luxor flight was only 50 minutes, met our transfer rep and within 20 minutes on the boat (arriving before 8:00am) we walked through several boats to get to ours. This was quite saddening realising that tourism is so low that they are just sitting there waiting for tourism to pick up. I have placed my review on the Nile Legacy trip advisor, so will not go into detail here, only that if your debating whether to do the cruise. DO IT, you won't be disappointed. I did have a touch of a jippy tummy, but I would put that down to the heat as opposed to anything I ate or drink. A few Imodium and I was back to normal in a few hours. Snorkelling at this hotel is a must, there is a beautiful reef not too far away, you can walk it 15 mins or speed boat provided by the hotel. The fish are out of this world. I was blown away by them. The hotel is everything We expected and more, clean, friendly, great beach, lovely food and free wifi and free laundry service. cocktail evenings with management. I could go on and on, but won't, experience it for yourself. You will have a great holiday. Yes people were putting towels out and reserving sun beds, but we preferred the beach. All sun parasols on the beach are for 4 persons, so plenty of room there too. Although some people were removing 2 sun beds so they didn't have to share. Like all good things they come to an end. We were so sad to leave but have great memories of the whole Egyptian experience. Back at Sharm airport, you will place your cases through an X-ray machine, queue up for further security, once through there you will go to the check in desk. If you gave pre booked seats, just go to bag drop. You will get a card to fill in (will be inside your passport from check in desk) and hand over at passport control. The departures lounge is very small and not enough seats. No duty free shops were available as they were all (bar 1 gift shop) being renovated. Nice handbag one though. Smoking is allowed in departures for those of you that do smoke. Flight back to Gatwick was 5hr 10 minutes. This was our first visit to Egypt and first now of many. I so want to go back and do it all again. People are worried because the level of security, in my opinion your safer going round organised trips here or in a group than in America. I cannot comment on venturing out on your own as we chose not too. You will gave a fab time though. Thank you Iberotel Palace for a fab, relaxing time. We're staying for the full 2 weeks next time.More

We have been back a week today from a 7 day stay at the iberotel palace and can not find one fault about our holiday and already planning our stay next year there . All staff were fantastic and so helpful , food was excellent and lots of variety , the rooms were spotless and having your choice of the private beach or pool was great . We have recommended friends to the iberotel and know they would not be disappointed and return , there is only one thing I could recommend , stay longer! Many thanks to all the staff , Dean and Keri , see you all soonMore

Dean T,

Perfect hideaway!

Just returned from our second visit to this lovely hotel where we stayed 18 months ago before we even got to our room one of the staff spotted us and hey! you're back! I can honestly say that nothing is too much trouble for these people. When my hubby had overdone the heat and was suffering from dehydration the Thomson rep Sammi took me personally to the pharmacy and got us medication which was not expensive. I spent a day and a half on my own but felt comfortable to eat drink and relax the staff were all attentive without being intrusive and all expressed concern for my other half. The food as we saw last year was fresh and served in a clean environment no concerns about food hygiene at all. The dress code for the restaurant was strictly adhered to. I have seen other comments about people wearing shorts but this is only during breakfast and lunch servings. We stayed in block 4 which seems to be the least popular with other travellers but didn't suffer any disturbance. We did hear music from the bar next door but only in the early evening when I sat on the balcony following my shower and I quite enjoyed it! All in all we enjoyed a peacefull week of rest and relaxation which is exactly what we retuned for. Oh and yes we will be going again. More
