We had a two week holiday split with a nile cruise.
On our arrival we were greeted by Samy (Thomson Rep) and escorted to a ballroom and giving a drink with a warm cloth to freshen ourselfs up with. Ater the meet and greet we were escorted to the restaurant (they kept open) so we could have something to eat after the journey,(nice touch).
Next morning we had our welcome meeting with Samy, who gave us a list of all the activities and excursions we could do, he was full of knowedge and gave time to speak to everyone of us if we were not sure.He kept us informed well in advance for our departure times to Luxor (Nile Cruise).
On our return from the cruise he greeted us like long lost friends. The hotel was very clean and confortable.the food in the restaurant was very good with a wide range and we never went hungry.
Every day the room staff left something on the bed (made from towels) Peacocks, elephants etc, after a few days we would guess what would greet us on our return to the room.
The bar staff were always there to put a drink in your hand, my wife took a liking to the coctail mai tai, very smooth.
In the hotel was a tailor (forgot his name) would make anything you wanted, suits, shirts, dresses and would be made within two to three days if you wanted, got two shirts at a resonable price.
All in all it was a great holidayMore

Great Holiday, Great people!
Just back from a fortnight at Iberotel Palace and all I can say is Wow! All the comments about this hotel all have merit, good and bad points. The noise from the hotel of as one person called it"Boom Boom" music was particularly noisy. Another guest who had been to the hotel for the last five Octobers told me it was only because there was a musical festival on and this was only once a year.
The pool is of a decent size but, if you are not a beach person some days you may struggle to get a sunbed around the pool unless up early. The comments about shady areas around the pool are correct, but remember this is October and the sun sets earlier than in the summer months. If you require more sunshine hours maybe go earlier in the year?
The rooms along with all areas of this hotel are kept spotless and the hotel staff will go out if there way to accommodate any wishes you may have. Fathy at the pool bar and Gamal down in the Blue Taverna are two of the many staff who worked tirelessly to make our stay memorable.
For an all inclusive hotel I was shocked that your mini bar in the room was not all inclusive and spirits such as Bacardi, Malibu were not included. The good was always hot and my wife us a very conservative person when choosing food but thought she had no problems finding something to eat anytime she chose to eat.
All in all this is a very nice hotel that if you choose to holiday here, unless you are always trying to find fault will not be disappointed. We are already booking for a return in February to recharge our batteries and top up the tan. Thanks to all at the Iberotel Palace for a wonderful holidayMore

The place to be if you crave for "RAVE MUSIC"
If "RAVE BOOM BOOM MUSIC" is not for you and you wish to have a quietish, restful holiday, this establishment is not for you. The first thing you need to pack in your suitcase is earplugs or any other form of noise deflectors. It starts at lunch time every day at the next door beach bar and goes on till early evening,(even an aspirin would get a head ache), one night which apparantly celebrated a new moon festival the 'BOOM BOOM' beat went on until 4am. All complaints just raised a sympathetic apology, the nearest we got to the truth is that there is an ongoing feud between the beachbar and hotel pending a proposed court hearing.
It is a great shame this problem arises for the hotel did otherwise tick a lot of positive boxes. The food is good but there is not a great selection. The staff are very hard working and
do an excellent service from reception level to the gardeners only to be let down by next door and the heavy metal stuff. Sorry I wont be returning here as long as 'BOOM BOOM' is around.More

A Palace Fit For A King
Situated across the road from Old Sharm Market the Iberotel Palace is quite unassuming from the front elevation. But, don't be put off by its low-key appearance; inside it offers great 'Couples' accommodation at a reasonable price.
We took this two weeks as a bit of a late break and having used the 'Couples' concept before we were pretty confident that all would be well. And it was!! And more!!
Iberotel Palace was pretty much faultless; just one drawback would be that the pool area tends to be a little shaded from the sun in the early morning and late afternoon!! However, there's plenty of room down on the beach (nice sand) which is just a few yards away.
The 'all inclusive' food was probably the best I've ever experienced, for this star rating, and the service provided in all areas was superb; the staff were friendly, hard working, polite and helpful - nothing ever seemed to be too much trouble! There is just one speciality restaurant at the Palace offering Italian food in nice comfortable surroundings.
The rooms were spacious, comfortable and very clean - most rooms overlooked either the pool area or the well kept gardens and offered a limited sea view.
The beach area was clean and quiet and the beach food and beverage facility was everything that we needed. The animation team provided a variety of games and things to do but we never felt pressured into joining in. A decent Spa and Beauty Shop provides adequate enough service if you want a little pampering on yer hols!
Evening entertainment was to a very high standard; early evening saw a variety of great acts in the outdoor arena and late evening there was always an impressive musical act on stage at the comfortable Terrace area. Entertainment Manager Rebecca was without doubt the star of the show(s) and laid on some great evenings for us as well as running some pool activities etc. Hard-working Rebecca massively impressed us with her stunning Monday night slots performing mainly Soul and Tamla Motown classics and performed with massive professionalism and proper 'star quality'. Vocal duo His And Hers (Grace and Lee) performed and entertained six nights of the week, either on the Terrace, in the 'pub' or on the beach, covering just about every genre of music from across the ages - very impressive too!! Other 'local' musical acts made up the rest of the evening entertainment line-up.
Star performers from a service point of view were Osama, Alaa and Mohamed in the beach bar. That said, everyone at the Hotel worked hard to ensure our stay was relaxed, great fun and memorable.
Iberotel Palace is ideally situated; if the Old Market is not for you it's just a fifteen minute taxi or bus ride into Naama Bay for a lively night out and/or the more sedate Soho Square for a relaxed hour or two of easy shopping, eating, drinking etc.
Possibly not the best snorkelling bay in Egypt but there are plenty of boat excursions to take you to some fantastic Red Sea areas.
Without doubt this is a great Hotel that belies its unassuming outward appearance and provides all you need for a great relaxed holiday.More
