the room we was in at the hotel was a superior one not bad at first after 3 days we had no water in the room they said it was a pipe leak, we waited for a while but still no water we had to wash with medicated wipes and bottled water after going to breakfast we came back to room to see if water was re connected we turned on the shower and all dark brown water was running in the shower so we turned on the tap in the sink it was still dark brown with human fecus in the sink when we told the reception they said it was rust the water was contaminated with human pooh the smell was just awfull why is this aloud to happen in a 5 star rated Thomson couples hotel the Thomson team was told they said the manager wanted to meet with us after a discussion with the manager he said he would like us to take a suite we could have anything we wanted as a keep quiet bribe we looked at the room we decided to moveMore

No regrets in returning......
......... but being a couple of weeks earlier it was slightly busier and noisier. The noise was largely due to the adjacent beach club now having equipment that could effectively drown out every other resort in the bay. We had a room in Ras Mohamed that looked onto the bay and beach club so our balcony time between beach & dinner was quite musical; that said; apart from the Full Moon party night it was very quiet post dinner so a good night's sleep in the massive bed was guaranteed. The bedroom was large with plenty of storage, a large safe and well equipped. The bathroom had everything you needed and both rooms were kept spotless and well stocked buy the room guy who was also adept at towel art. The public areas were also kept clean and tidy. The restaurants again provided a good selection of food for every meal plus a visit to Toscana's and Ali Baba's being worthwhile for a quieter dining experience. I don't want to sound snobby, but it is a pity that the supposed enforced dress code isn't, as I personally find armpits at dinner offputting. There are plenty of sun beds available, but you may not get the prime pool and beach ones unless you are an early towel placer. If you are, please try to close the room door quietly as the banging echoes quite loudly along the corridors. The main plus for the Iberotel Palace is the staff, they really make a stay worthwhile, to a 'man' they greet you with a smile and acknowledgement. It is amazing that they maintain this considering the hours they work and they way that some guests treat them. There was a change at the top whilst we were there and it will be interesting to see what changes are made. Going back to the beach, whilst I appreciate that the Spa, diving and trip guys have to earn a living, if you don't wish to be disturbed the available signs work for 99% of them.
I have said before that the world is a vast place to be explored and we will continue to do so, but, when we want a place where we can go to for guaranteed sun, good rooms, good food and excellent staff, the Iberotel Sharm fits the bill.More

Excellent Hotel for Adults
One of the best hotels we have stayed in. The pool areas and beach had plenty of sunbeds and shade and the food and drink were to a very high standard. Would certainly go back to this hotel. A relaxing holiday with very friendly staff. Nothing was too much for them.More

Beautiful place and wonderful staff
Just home for an amazing return visit to the palace . I reviewed this hotel two years ago when we we last visited but it was even better this time . We have been to several hotels in Egypt but none come as close to perfection as this one . We enjoyed cocktail night where we met all of the management team who advised us to speak to them if there was anything we were not happy about or needed changing We had a room overlooking the pool area with huge comfy bed and our cleaner Gabor did a perfect job every day cleaning up after us providing clean bedding and towels stocking up our fridge with water and making some wonderful towel art . He is an asset to the hotel always happy and chatty and asking if everything was OK . You will hear this a lot from all of the staff who work tirelessly and who go out of there way to make sure you are happy We sat beside a couple one day at beach bar who complained that there was too many peppers in their salad (get a life ! ) we could find nothing to complain about . We had no bother getting sun beds so would use pool area in morning and beach in afternoon you could also use mattresses to lie on sun beds to make them more comfortable which was lovely and being able to walk into sea was a real treat . Also there is a book and magazine exchange on beach so when you finish reading your book or magazine you help yourself to another one . We always found something to eat at buffet restaurant with lovely red wine with our meal and cheese and crackers to finish and enjoyed lovely meals in the Italian and Egyptian restaurant . We used free wifi and could connect easily even on beach . Entertainment was fantastic at night with Maxine Sam and Hayley while the waiters worked hard to ensure your glass was never empty often bringing you a fresh drink before you had time to ask . The hotel also provides a free laundry service which is fantastic to come home with a case full of clean clothes . If you want to chill out and relax this is the place to go we call it a carlsberg holiday ! We would like to thank all the staff for making our holiday so good and hopefully we will visit soon . We are still looking for the rocks on the beach that a previous contributor had complained about so will definitely have to return soon to track them down ! XxxMore

From the beginning to the end of our stay at the Iberotel palace, we were taken care of, all staff were fantastic, pool/beach was great? Lots to eat, old market across the road, so lots of shopping done.More
