All the staff at the Iberotel Palace provide an excellent standard of service. The food is varied and plentiful, you only have to ask if there is something you would like and the Chef will make it for you. We preferred to eat at the Blue Marine restaurant in the evening as it was smaller, relaxing and more refined.
The rooms are spotless and very large especially the bed! We emailed the hotel before our stay and they allocated us a room as requested., high floor, quiet and near the beach. The only downside of the holiday was the booming music on the beach from the other hotels and bars on some occasions, however this didn't spoil our holiday . We would recommend this hotel if it is a couples, relaxing holiday you are looking for near the centre of old Sharm.More

Benefits from being adults only
My wife and I was attracted to this hotel because it is now for adults only and I would go as far as to say all the people that we met benefitted from this.
There were quite a few like minded couples that, like us, have gone through the family stage however there was a nice mix of younger couples.
We enjoyed the restaurant down by the beach for our evening meals, the beach bar was excellent for lunch however we were not so keen on the main top restaurant.
We were persuaded to have a few massages because my wife has a frozen shoulder however she ended up bruised and sore after this, I must add that we asked for firm massages, probably a mistake.
I had a shirt made however there was some confusion as to who made it and the first attempt was not at all as discussed, I will put this down to a language problem, the second attempt was much better, I paid £40.
The guy in the shop was able to supply cigarettes, as it turned out I was very grateful because the Sharm airport shops were closed at departure.
The guy selling the boat trip decided to give me a lecture about how poorly paid he was etc.
I could have done without that and made me feel uncomfortable.
Several women were bitten by sand flies, my wife included, probably from the blankets on the beach evening.
There were a fair few people going down with Rameses revenge therefore the chemist opposite the hotel was probably doing a good trade.
The beach out in the bay had a security guard however this did not stop some locals breaking of pieces of coral.
My wife used the beauty salon and was treated well and was happy with the experience.
Therefore a few weird points but overall OK...More
Fabulous Relaxing Hotel
Spent 7 days at this hotel with the Nile Legacy Cruise sandwiched in between (see separate review).
Was a bit sceptical about doing the 3-7-4 day stints but. It actually worked really well as we felt as though we had 3 mini-holidays. In particular it was nice to get back to the Iberotel Palace to chill for a few days after the flurry of activity on the cruise.
Really nice hotel in old Sharm el Sheikh area. No children so very relaxed atmosphere by the pool. Summary of hotel as follows:-
Setting - about a 2 minute walk from the old market, which isn't as hassle-prone as other parts of Egypt. The hotel also backs on to the beach which was nice and had its own bar and plenty of sun beds.
Rooms - we stayed in two different rooms either side of the cruise. Both very spacious (huge beds) and we were on ground floor by the pool area, which was quite nice. Cleaned spotlessly each day with various towel sculptures on the bed throughout the stay.
Pool area - as stated above pool area is peaceful. There is a pool bar in the top pool, and plenty of sun beds including some shaded "gazebo" style ones at the bottom pool. There is also an indoor pool in the spa.
Food/drink - excellent food selection all meals in both the main restaurants. We generally ate at the Blue Marine restaurant at night as it was quieter, a more plush setting and there seemed to be slightly more waiters around. We attended a "gala dinner" night which the management team put on; that was very nice. Also, got a free a la carte meal at the Italian restaurant which was very good too. Beer was very drinkable and there was a good choice of alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails on the menu.
Entertainment - couple of good local singers on whilst we were there. The resident duo His'n'hers, from Bolton, were listenable too, and we were indebted to the girl for helping my wife get treatment for sand fly bites one night.
Staff - plenty of staff who all worked very hard. Slight criticism that some of them seemed very serious and didn't have enough banter with the customers, though they were by no means unpleasant. Thomson rep Samy was very helpful and honest, and didn't try to force trips on to us. He even showed my wife and I the best local jewellers in the old market area in his own time.
Spa - we got good deal on the full body massages (one during each stay) which relaxed us even more if that was possible. Definitely worthwhile.
Overall impression - superb hotel, definitely worthy of 5-star rating. Thanks to all staff for our wonderful stay.More

we stayed for a fortnight in september, found it very pleasant overall, lovely staff espiecally mahmood who served drinks in the pool bar in the day, sabby from the beach bar and the young man who cleaned the room every day(sorry can't remember his name) who surprised us with some lovely towel art every day. the only small dissapointment was the food in the main restaurant, while their was always plenty of choice and it was always hot, it did get a bit repetative and was a bit bland, but overall we enjoyed our stay and may return sometime in the future.More

This is a fantastic hotel to stay in the staff go above and beyond to meet all your needs. Very friendly and polite and very Proffesional. Everything in the hotel is cleaned to a high standard and would deffinatly recommend this hotel to all family and friends. Entertainment didn't really cater for younger couples but was not really a problem as there's so much else to do. A few of the staff were particularly exceptional- haitham,Mahmoud, and wafy. The reception desk were exceptional also. Thanks for a lovely memorable stay at your hotel and will look forward to staying there again in the future.More
